Looking lovely Canna, seems we are entering the harvest window at the same time!
Cool , to me though those figures are a bit off. I'm guessing here but reckon I can get this up to about 90% success rate pretty easy. Both the pair I've done and bagged have taken. I think having a clean graft to graft point without water or anything may be the key!
Think of it like this, a plant gets cut a bleeds, or weeps the very material it uses to repair, as any natural system does. So then I swiftly combine them and squeeze firmly, this bleeds them some more and creates a natural seal, then if bound quickly and firmly and bagged they seem to work but must have min foliage to drive! (That's my two cents anywhoo)
I'm gonna try grafting on some quite young plants soon to see if its any harder or easier etc and then veg em out as norm for quick multi flowering fun!
warsh
Cee Cee (custard cream clone 1) got great big new digs this morning. This plastic bag pot appears to be about 7 gallons of soil. I want to compare what this bigger one does to the 3-4 gallon fabric pots. The Blue Dream is doing awesome in the larger plastic bag pot.
I have one more Custard Cream clone to transplant today. Still waiting on baby M&M (Blue Dream clone 1) to be ready. Going really sloooow for some reason.
Other than supplying my Mom with oil.....I'm wondering why I'm growing at all right now. LOL
Happy days indeed its funny as this grafting lark aint that hard once you get the basics down it would seem. Chuffed your having such success as well
That's awesome Cannafan! I love seeing all of this magic!!!
quiet stunning actuallyWell, I have an update on grafting in a minute...but I wanted to post this pic. I think it's pretty cool:
