I detest patchouli

Okay, I was scratching my head wondering WTH is he talking about.....then I read Yeatsters' earlier post again....I got it now.

Thanks for the giggles....again.

Howdy Canna!

Does loving nag champa count for hippy points? Consider this post coming from the most UN-hippy place on Earth that I can think of.

Interesting about the Auto Durban, that reminds me of the Fruitilicious I am running now (photo) and it almost seemed like a plastic plant the leaves are so rigid and tough.

Thank you! I kept trying to figure out a word to describe the feel and the look of the leaves on this plant. Plastic foliage like you would see at a craft store. LOL
It is just impossible to keep them down. The video after I rolled the stem of the leaves to soften them enough to bend was cool. They bounced back up within minutes. LOL

I left a shout out for breakfast at Smokey's for ya. Geez I miss the waffle houses.

Edit: I found a way to hold those big leaves down without snipping them off. I have the wire coat hanger stakes in use. Works perfectly and they can still draw energy etc. from them. :)

Fast N Vast is stretching up. :cheer:

Here's a few others I have going. Two in front are Master Kush, (unkown sex) and the one in the back is Custard Cream (Thea)
They have all been topped and are getting their LST training:

The experiment with the hemp seeds is done. The one in the rockwool pushed her way out the top with the shell mostly discarded but still hanging on a bit.
The one in the root plug never pushed upward, but pushed her sideways and it wound up showing out the side of the plug. I let it go to see if it would push the head up at some point, never did. It split the shell inside the plug, and the cotyledon's wound up dying inside the shell, because it never pushed itself upward.

I may try this again, by just pushing those seeds in there and not open either rockwool or plug. Ya got to wonder if the one in the plug wasn't following the path of least resistance because I had opened it before, even though I sealed them back up pretty tightly.

I'll have pictures at some point on the hemp seeds in the tray with different germ methods, but the one that was most successful in the shortest amount of time were the ones planted with one overnight presoak and one day waiting for at least a 1/2" taproot in papertowel. All three of those are up and growing.

The seeds that were not soaked at all and just planted into the soil, two of them never came up or even cracked in the soil. One did, but came up with the shell barely open and the plant died inside the shell.

The seeds that were just soaked overnight and went straight into planting, two came up. One of them was a full week later than the first. The third didn't come up at all.

I like the presoak and wait for taproot better than all of them at this point.

That Vast and Fast is going to be pretty... Her leaves are already a bit diferent looking....:circle-of-love:

Yes, they do look different. :) I'm hoping that I don't wind up with another small plant like Lil' Purp, with that week of error on the growth. But this one is doing much better on recovery time than lil' Purp did.

Them purple thingys suck... It was great in the Purple Trainwreck but it wasn't dominent... Olivia is kinda a pain in the azz.... She is getting extremely sticky though... When I was freaking on her yesterday and getting the nanner off her... my fingers were all kinds of sticky and the aroma is wonderful... By far the best smell off a girl I have ever grown.... I don't know how to explain it and don't know that I have ever smelled anything like it... but I would wear it behind my ears...:goof:....:circle-of-love:

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I have only grown one plant that the smell was seriously like a fart where you swear someone has something dying inside them.
I can't even remember the strain, first grow I think. Hopefully I never grow that again. LOL

Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh my!
Terpenes, and terpenoids, cause SMELL....Oh my!

I would post you a link but I'm on my phone and don't know how... Anywho... Check Broke Ass's journal... Post #2148 and it will take you to the information on cloning an auto....:circle-of-love:

Thank you! I will do that tonight for sure. Yer a schweetheart. :)

Got 3 autos now, possibly 4.....plants everywhere. LOL

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Hey Partner...and all.

A little update on the seed branches in water. Some of them did come to maturity, and a lot of them haven't yet.
My feeling is that this takes way too long, if left on the actual plant they would have matured much faster in my previous experience.

Now, maybe...and I will try this again in the future...if I had left those branches in the water under a 12/12 light schedule instead of in a windowsill on winter hours of daylight, they would have matured up faster? I hadn't thought about that until yesterday when I harvested a few of the seeds off the branches.

Thoughts?

I'll have some pics today of seeds, transplants etc. As I get them. Busy gardening day today.

UPDATE: Seedlings

I now have two Fast n Vast Autos. When the first one was dying, I germed another just in case. They are now both planted in the final pots and under the Mars Hydro LED.
I wanted to get them into the final pots early, so I could get them going.

The one I saved is doing well, but I was afraid to actually tip that solo cup over to get her transplanted. I feared something drastic would happen. LOL
So I cut the bottom of the solo cup off, made a depression in the final pot with a different cup and put the cut one in there. Then I used a pair of old scissors and cut the sides of the solo cup. It worked pretty good. The two pieces of Solo cup lifted right out and didn't disturb the soil or the plant...and no dirty hands!

They are so tiny, you can't see them...but they are in the new home:

I also transplanted Medicann Blue Blood to the final pot. She is under the T5 with the rest of the veggie kids:

Hi Sista, since you have two Fast n Vast, are you planning on training them like Atrain did?

These kinda babies and me get along just fine. :)

I might try one of them. I want to see how they start out first.
