Cannafan's Adventures With Pollinating Master Kush X White Widow

It's Picture day!!! :cheertwo:

Here's an update on the lovely lil' seeds. They are looking all mottled and spotted and they are shrinking. The sugar leaves are just covered. So pretty:

Yeah, outdoor wood burner. Very very old one, but it works. LOL I live in the woods....lots of dead stuff and trees that should come down. I planned on starting last spring to get enough wood cut and split for this winter. Ha ha....life, sick relatives and work kept taking all of my time, the poor guy who helps me cut/split got throat cancer so he can't do it anymore... and I wind up having to pay for deliveries this year. Damn!
Next year WILL be different. I absolutely refuse to pay propane prices here and I don't have natural gas service to my home.
Wow Canna! That's living off the lay of the land for real! Much respect...
Thanxx for participating in THE REPS ARE RIGHT for the 2nd week in a row.

How's the heat issue coming along?

I ended up putting a oil filled radiator in the room and let the wall fans push the air around and is working great, just had to put in on a timer.

Sorry it took so long to join you!

You have a good eye for superb photos!

Hey pucker huddle:)
that brings a question for me. Am I to assume then, that each grain of pollen can potentially represent one seed? That would certainly explain why so MANY seeds are found on the plants in natural grow, but I want to be sure I'm thinking right there. :hmmm:

It is more the case that each Pistil on the female flower is a potential seed, in more formal organised plants you end up with Sweet corn or Maize, you can often still see the pistils when you peel it to barbeque! (the maize I mean). Each Pistil needs germinating with only 1 bit of pollen but nature has to stack the odds! Us males aren't very reliable in the wild either it seems!

Great job Canna...Very nice pics...I am very impressed ...taking on pollination with everything else you have going on took a lot of courage...great job my friend:Namaste:

Please accept some reps :)

Jay, you are so kind. It's the people here on 420 magazine in addition to the learning process that make this so much fun!:thanks:

Yay big butted seeds! "I like big butts can not lie"
I love the video!!

Hey Heady, actually with the new wood delivery....this stuff actually puts out heat. LOL Last night was good and warm in my house for a change. Burning seasoned wood is a far cry in heat difference than burning green wood! And leaving a door open for the air exchange to draw cold from the basement...I may have this issue resolved. Finally. I'm not going to get any 80 degree temps, but it's going to be a lot more than 64! Thanks!

:thanks: For joining us and for the :thumb: up on the photos. I LOVE taking pics. LOL
Good to know on the pistils being the catalyst for how many seeds will come around. I am actually seeing new seeds developing in addition to the ones that are maturing. That's cool. Have a great day!

Happy Munchday Canna :thumb:

Happy Munchday to you too Cronic! I like the sound of Munchday a whole lot better than Monday. :ciao:

HEY Canna I have a non MJ tip for ya...talk to your wood guy and ask if he gets any Honey Locust or Black Locust...most people want Oak or Maple but Locust is the highest btu wood you can burn...if you live in mid to northern US it is very common and you may get it a little cheaper because most people have no clue and prefer Oak...Oak sucks...it takes forever to truly season...You will notice a difference with the Locust...I owned a tree removal service for 12 yrs and burnt about 15 cord a yr to heat my house...I could pick from whatever wood to burn...Locust is the best...then Maple...then Cherry...it's worth asking...it's just a thought

I have burned locust before...that stuff burns HOT!!! So hot if I didn't control the vent properly it ended up warping the inside of my firebox and several brick liners couldn't stand up to the heat.

I ended up adding pine mix, straight locust is great but watch the temps ;)

Well, in my opinion guys..this is MJ related because I'm trying to up the heat amount in my grow!
No locust around here, unfortunately. What I have right now is mixed oak/maple/black cherry. Just got off the phone with the dude, what I see is about 1/3 of a cord of wood there....I paid for a cord. He wasn't happy with my phone call, but I won't let him get away with ripping me either. He's headed back out to bring me the balance of what I paid for. Maybe he thought cuz I'm a woman I wouldn't know a rick from a cord? LOL
