CannabisMeds' CBD Grow - Pennywise - Dawgfather - Rawdawg - Soil - LED + CFL 2013-14

Re: CannabisMeds' CBD Grow - Pennywise - Dawgfather - Rawdawg - Soil - LED + CFL 2013

maybe early phosphorus def? hard to tell until it gets a little further

It's possible that my soil mixture is causing a nute lockout of some sort. I didn't make it very hot at all, so I don't know.

I might need to ph adjust the water and give them some epsom salt or something. Not sure yet what's up!

I hope it's just a deficiency. I think that will be easier to fix...

I don't think it looks like the pics of mites I have seen but it does look like maybe some type of nute issue like Cronic said. I know coming from me this sounds ridiculous but I don't think you should panic just yet......:circle-of-love:

Thrive Alive B1 helps green up veges. I would just keep watering the roots should find what they need.

Thanks, Garden, Cron, Dennise and 303.

I'm trying to chill. Taking a break from the room and trying to get rid of my headache. Also trying not to panic. The fact that I couldn't find one official live bug with the loop calms me a bit.

It is weird how it's happening to 3 or 4 or more of the clones. The temps in there have been cooler than I'd like, and I've been uncertain about the light. I added a couple of CFLs to help warm things up last night. I'm going to keep an eye on them, keep inspecting them. When I water next, I'll give them a better ph adjustment and a little epsom, which might help with any deficiency.

I feel like the cooler temps and the small root system has kept them really slow so far, so this may have something to do with it also. Hopefully all is well and there are no bugs and they'll recover.

Main thing is that I don't want mites in with the flowering ladies. That would crush me right now!

Thanks again.

true cold can slow nutrient absorption, clones will not root and seeds don't pop. this winters weather has been too damn cold.

I know you are chilling and that's a good thing. I am sure others have made it through this type thing. Keep your eye out for very fine spider webs on the growing tips. And. Do. Not. Worry.

I just today was updated on my youtube subscriptions and in the email was this link to a video about spider mites. I only watched a few minutes so cannot guarantee its accuracy, but at least you can hear what he has to say.

Thanks for the vid, Garden! I'll check it out...

Re: CannabisMeds' CBD Grow - Pennywise - Dawgfather - Rawdawg - Soil - LED + CFL 2013

Ok, so tonight I whipped up a gallon of water mixed with a teaspoon of molasses, a dash of epsom, and a dash of grow nutes ( and I mean just a dash ) - and then this was ph adjusted to 6.5. I then gave this mix to all of the clones. Two of them I put back under the dome, where the heating pad is. Two others are more directly under both the LED and CFLs.

Tomorrow I'll inspect again for bugs and for further issues. I might also move the heating mat under the main tray for a while, to help with the roots.

We'll see how this plays out. Stay tuned...

Darn! Sorry to hear this, CannaMeds.

Are the light discolorations white or light green?

Loretta had weird spots on a few of her leaves throughout her grow. I always attributed it to some kind of deficiency, but it was maybe 10 leaves her whole life. They looked like smears of pastel green on the edge of her leaves.

I hope you get it figured out soon!

Thanks, Dres!

Um, good question. With light behind them, they sort of look translucent. But technically, maybe they are very light green. Then again, they may be completely colorless, hard to say for sure.

Re: CannabisMeds' CBD Grow - Pennywise - Dawgfather - Rawdawg - Soil - LED + CFL 2013

Quick update... My initial reason for freaking a little was because when I searched for white spots on cannabis leaves, EVERY result came back 'MITES'!

I inspected again today, and I've still yet to find a bug. Unless they are super small and/or eluding me somehow, I think maybe, just maybe, no bugs! That's good news. :)

The two I put back in the clone dome, where there is a heating mat underneath, responded well and grew a bit more. The new growth, so far, doesn't have the white specs.

Here's my initial thinking on what happened. They were transplanted and moved out of the dome. The soil was cold and they weren't getting warm enough to rapidly develop their tiny new roots. Also, the water I was giving them wasn't ph adjusted. I think this combination was causing a deficiency issue.

I will continue to rotate some of the newly planted clones into the heated dome, in order to give their roots a chance to thrive a bit more. I really think keeping the temps up for the soil will make a big difference for these freshly potted clones. Lesson learned.

Hopefully, no bugs and they will recover! ( There are still two very late, slow rooting clones in the clone dome. I'm not sure they'll make it. They are starting to die now. We'll see! I will probably put them in soil anyway in a day or two to see if they can survive)

Sounds good. Just keep a close eye out for any webbing on the growing tips. Spider mites are almost microscopic. But it doesn't sound like you have them, so I'm happy for you!

Re: CannabisMeds' CBD Grow - Pennywise - Dawgfather - Rawdawg - Soil - LED + CFL 2013

Thanks Garden and Dennise! I haven't ruled out bugs yet, but I'm feeling a little better about the situation. I'm just keeping a close eye on everything. ;)

( Literally close. Like an inch away, with this loop. )
