Hizzy, I just finished a class on CBD. The instructor was Martin Lee of Project CBD. His contention is that most of the evidence coming back, including extensive clinical trials in Europe, show that a balanced ratio of THC and CBD are the best way to manage pain, particularly chronic and neuropathic pain.

You're on the right path. Your warrior mentality has me in awe. Fine tune your meds. Get control of this already so you can get back to enjoying the hell out of life again.

Did I mention how incredibly proud of you I am? :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Well I am. :battingeyelashes:

Did the cbd class happen to have anything to say about severe nausea? Only concentrates works to make mine manageable. I was wondering if you knew how to get rid of it?

Thanks sue!!

Made 2 eveinigs no bupe

Funny thing is the majority of my 2000 year old fam tree most were warriors or scholars

Guess I'm both

Kinda rather be a bad ass warrior type

Maybe I'll dress up as a Viking next October

I don't recall anything off hand, but I'll do some looking around. I'm pretty certain that signal is a THC one, so try to get a balanced ratio, and then get the THC as high as you can tolerate within that ratio. Do you understand what I mean by that? I need to work out the phrasing better. Start with a balanced ratio, then increase the dose within the ratio to get to the THC level that works therapeutically.

I'm discovering many of us, myself included, are overdosing from a medicinal perspective. It's mostly out of habit, having viewed cannabis for so many years as a recreational relief. All that focus on THC and the buzz being the cure mixed us up. Make the patient comfortable with the ratio and then go to therapeutic doses.

Ancient Celtic warriors run through my bloodline. I feel their spirit more and more these days. You make us proud Hizzy. :battingeyelashes:

I was thinking, right now is a perfect time to dress as a Viking; If you sound irritable or snap at someone - they'll think you are acting in character :)

The mrs. (ancient viking blood) bought the high school girl some elf ear earbuds about 2 months ago. She wears them almost all the time, including school whenever music is allowed.

I have found the world to be a remarkably accepting place when one honestly expresses themself.

I have ancient celtic blood, but I've no clue about warriors. The closest I can come is a 16th century Welsh knife smith. An old man massage therapist once told me (while inflicting massive pain,) that the world is grateful I chose to be a pacifist.

This reminds me so much of a cartoon I watch called "Bob's Burgers". One of the children in it wears a rabbit ear hat at all times, even to school. At first it was odd to see, but after a few times I got quite used to it and it was fitting for her and her character.

Yes, I'm an adult....and sometimes I enjoy cartoons.

Sue, by a "balanced" ratio, does that mean 1:1? equal?

Sue.. sorry to again ask for clarification, but when you talk about "getting the THC as high as possible".. does that mean while maintaining the 1:1 ratio?

Maybe I'm a bit OCD right now...

Yes, I believe that's what she was trying to say. Increase the dosage but keep the THC and CBD 1:1.

To add to Sue's post, THC works on nausea by acting on central nervous system, because nausea is actually a signal from brain, not from stomach or even the nerves around stomach. So we need to target the CB1 receptors in CNS to treat nausea. Hope I didn't just make it more confusing. Too much THC can cause nausea, and I think the CBD in balance prevents this.

Thanks for adding clarity. Yeah, I got much of that.

So right now we are treating my wife's RA with a CCO that is advertised as 37% THC / 24% CBD. Assuming those ratios are accurate, should I supplement with some CBD oil?

When they advertised the 37%/24% do they specify what strains were used?

Joke woke up from not having buprenorphine since Thursday evening does.

Still waiting on half life to be over and then we'll know

Last back surgery I was home five days taking Percs

I actually thought I wasn't gonna have any issue jumping from methadone

Lmao day six came and said hello

We'll see soon enough

Thanks so much for the thoughts and have a great day

I wish...The CCO is labelled RSO, but as you no doubt know, Rick Simpson does not sell his oil, so this is a copy, or a knock off...

Who knows what strain or how accurate their measurements are?

But we both took some, in a capsule with oiive oil and Lecithin and we both got a big reaction. I was experiencing both an intense body stone and a sparkly head high, and it lasted for 4 - 6 hours! My wife had really good pain relief and a somewhat lesser stone/high reaction.

So, based on results, I'm going to continue using this oil...

If anyone wants the full name, PM and I'll tell you the brand name of this oil. But there's not much to see if you do a Google search anyhow.

For me I would say that's close enough. I actually preferred slightly higher THC to CBD, I felt less high at high doses than I did with actual 1:1 ratio.

But everybody's different, and based on your own experience I'd say supplement with CBD to balance ratio and try slightly lower dose.
