No I don't it's the GDP purple dream

I know it's a hybrid (S) I think 60/40
Sativa dominant (60%) 40 I

As for THC I heard 20 but the proof will be in the lab results this winter

Can't wait

I have a feeling we'll have this one around for a good while

I heard a guy say it's great for low back pain

For me all the smoking does is make it where I care less about the pain

I hear others say they get painrelief but I don't,
Maybe once my body's off the opiods a while

I was just wondering what alternatives are best to use as a solvent for making oil. I dont have access to grain alcohol in Spain or the UK. I have made oil using Isopropyl Alcohol 99.9% but I know this isnt the best solvent due to the acetone content in isopropyl alcohol.

Thoughts?

I'm guessing that shipping to your location, like the Extractahol (one of our sponsors now) would not be feasible?
Seems like there was a discussion waaaay back on this thread with someone else who could not get access to the alcohol as well, maybe on Motoco's oil thread...
I'll look around today, or maybe someone here has that saved or remembers it.

Extractohol, in a nutshell is a very high proof alcohol. We are only able to get 151 proof here where I am, so there's a lot of water content. Extractohol doesn't have that water content. (I can't get it shipped to my state either, damnit)

EDIT: I had found a retailer, but it said "in store pickup only". Oops....
Type into Google Everclear 190 proof or 151 proof, and you should be able to find some retailers. It's going to be tough for you because of customs.

I use to use 99% iso for extraction( for a couple of years) until i switched over to everclear. I never had a issue with anyone i treated whatsoever. I am not condoning it , just stating if i was in a jam and could not find not other way to extract my medicine i was use it as a alternative. They did trials where people ingested up to 190 mls= 190 grams of iso before the side effects of toxicity became noticeable, there have also been reports of people ingesting well over 250 mls. a Disclaimer: I am in know way recommending anyone to use iso for extraction method, this is just a IMO from someone who has experienced with this method.
 
the issue i have with it is that as you evaporate the iso any residual added component that doesnt evaporate gets more and more concentrated. I have 5kgs of bud to wash down so i need alot of alcohol and the more you use the more residue will be left behind. it needs to be as clean as possible.

i think ive found a source of food grade ethanol local so i am going to investigate that.
 
Yeah, I think it was determined during the convo here long ago that ISO was fine in a pinch, but the long term use and the build up of the toxins or residuals was the concern.

Ive located some food grade ethanol but its expensive at €30 for 500ml. Ive bought a bottle to do a test run before i buy a bulk. thanks for the input.

Hey cultivator
I picked up a water distiller for about $200
Will allow me to reclaim up to 80% of the carrier (everclear) and should make the $35 per 1.75L bite less painful.
Was thinking if it's hard for you to get and your not able to make your still maybe it would be good to get one.

I do that too, and it doesn't take very long to pay for the still. We also run our drinking water through it so it was a good investment.
 
Good to know others out there using the same equipment

Was really jazzed to make it back in town a couple days ago and to see the holy grail Kush seedling I popped to have on hand as a super high thc strain growing nicely

I had the munchies too and knew if went overboard I'd totally regret it.
I didn't think one 2"by2" piece would over medicate me, glad I didn't eat the whole piece lol.

We did the 7grams per cup instead of the 14
Glad I chose to go Light instead of heavy
