Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

I will take a seat right back there in a lounge by the window. Can I share a hot tea with anyone?
Think I might like one of those Chocolate Caramels Cannafan and look into getting a copy of that book.

:welcome: Alchemist420. I would love some tea! Enjoy the treats. Yak or kickback....your choice. I'm about halfway through the book. One of the other things that I like about this book is that you don't have to read every chapter to be able to understand any other chapters. The Author actually tells you skip around if you like.

I'm almost halfway through. I'm reading straight through (which is unusual for me) even though the author says it's ok to skip around. I do check out the appendices when she refers to them in text.

For me this book is about the big picture of healing, of which MMJ is only one part. There's very little about the technical therapeutic effects of MMJ, but even if she didn't mention MMJ at all this is still a great book. MMJ is an integral part of book, but in very different way than I expected.

She does a beautiful job of explaining all the parts of the actual healing process that mainstream medicine completely misses. After all, doctors don't treat patients, or even diseases, just symptoms of underlying conditions. Using MMJ that way wouldn't be much of an improvement. I think everyone contributing to this site intuitively understands this and strives to do more. This book makes this point explicitly and comprehensively. I highly recommend it based on first half alone. Looking forward to second half. :Namaste:

p.s.: It sounds like I'm trashing doctors above. I'm not. Another part of problem is that most patients apparently don't want to be troubled with their own treatment. I find it amusing to watch my doctors' reactions when I talk about active role I'm taking in my treatment. They don't seem to know what to make of it, at least at first. :Namaste:

Radical Remission is a book by Dr. Kelly Turner that describes patient involvement as the single most important aspect in the remission cases that she studied. Her idea is to identify the commonalities among unlikely survivors, people who have beaten the odds. Her list of the top things that these survivors do is good, although it does not mention cannabis. Patients who are not involved/engaged in their own care are a puzzle to me, why would a person NOT want to understand or try to control the progression of disease in their body? It is refreshing to see websites and FB pages that patients put up to document their progress. My wish is for these data shares to become more technical, include the sort of details that doctors and researchers use to figure out solutions. Cool to see someone report that their cancer is in remission and that they used cannabis oil, but without key facts, like other treatments, tumor pathology and patient history, it is hard to reach any sort of conclusions.

Those salted caramels look delicious, maybe just one.

I totally agree with you Circuit. (Btw, nice to see you again)

I would love to read actual complete case histories with all of what you mentioned above, and including eating/drinking habits, exercise habits, etc. etc., rather than copy/paste of studies and information not really related to the actual patient.

I guess I could go back to college, become a specialist in the field...then I would have access to patients' files? I better get to my money tree out back with a large duffle bag. :laugh:

Hope you enjoy the caramels. :thumb:

Update on Mom and her skin cancer

The second surgery got rescheduled because the 1st one took so long and was so involved. (I think I posted that before)
The 2nd one was supposed to be today, but they rescheduled that because they wanted to do a full body scan. So, that was supposed to be today, but that got rescheduled because she has an infection in the 1st surgery site and they are now concerned with that, and they decided to remove stitches today instead. That didn't go well, because the person who stitched her up accidentally tied a knot below the skin somehow and it wound up sealing inside. They had to cut it out of her. Grrrrr..... She just got back from the doc and will be starting some meds for the infection. {{sigh}}

So, scan next Friday and 2nd surgery site beginning next month.

Damn Sista, that's why a maintenance dose is so important.....to keep those people from practicing or screwing up on us.

FOR MOM :Love::hugs::Love:

I have to wonder if that stitch knot that sealed inside her arm caused the infection to start. Guess we'll never know. I just hope it gets gone!

Thanks Brother Dear, your hugs mean a lot!

Canna.... I absolutely positively without a doubt... Adore and Love :Love: your new signature... I talked to Mo the other night and she is so stoked with all the progress being made with the wellness gift she is moving forward with...:yahoo: There is no doubt Tim is looking down from heaven and he is so proud... He told me he always knew that if something happened Mo would find a way to continue on with their mission and to know that she is still carrying that torch and helping so many people with good information and all the love she puts in it... I'm just so thrilled for her and all the people here that knew Tim know how much this was a part of the both of them and how much they put their whole beings behind it... I for one will never be able to repay them for what they have done for me.... I am yet to take the first MS drug and that is thanks in full to Tim and Mo... I am completely off every day narcotics for the first time in over 20 years... all thanks to Tim and Mo... Never have I known two more selfless people.... They did all this for me and would never accept anything in return... I tried but they refused... told me to put all my energy into healing... and no stress... I still hear Tim repeating over and over.... no stress is the key to healing with the oil...:cco: I'm sorry for selfish reasons and also I'm sorry that he left to soon to share his knowledge with the newer members here but I am so thrilled Mo has found the strength in herself to follow through with their mission...:amen: I love you Mo and Tim I will miss you forever.....:circle-of-love:

Would you mind terribly if I used it in my signature too....:circle-of-love:

LOL, you aren't excited at all are you? It's good to see!

I don't mind at all. As we come up on the anniversary of his untimely taking, I want to be able to remember, and help others remember all of the good things that came from him and Mo. It isn't exactly what I wanted to say, but I kept running into that character limit on the siggy.

I am excited with you, Mo is such a wonderful person to talk to.

I have no doubt, that had it not been for Tim's guidance and pushing me with the CCO, I would probably not be around.

You guys are AWESOME!!!!

I haven't been on this thread in some time but happened to wonder just now. It does not surprise me that Mo dove in and is continuing her and Tim's work. Does she have a thread or website going that can be followed or does she just pop in on occasion.
Thanks,
Beav

If you have any spare CCO I'd put it directly on that site, if you haven't already. How frustrating. It's hard to find a positive point here other than they caught it before it got more serious. My earnest healing thoughts for your mom, and for you too Canna. I know how manic it can seem from the sidelines. :hugs:

:passitleft: High Beav... I didn't hear from Mo on here and TBH I don't know if she still checks in here or not... As far as her web sites and what not... I think it is best to let her put that info out when she is ready... I don't know at what stage she plans on doing all that and I don't want to push her in any way as I know what a perfectionist she is and she would never want to get ahead of herself... I know she is helping some folks one on one and working on her message but like I said I'm not sure where she is in her process... I do know however she will let us all know where and how when the time is here...:thumb:....:circle-of-love:

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know if I missed it or not.

There sure are some odd methods of extracting cannabis oil around, curious how this one works out. There has been a lot of progress made with regard to extracting, many different approaches with different solvents and hardware. We should keep a few basics in mind with this stuff, especially when it comes to toxic solvents and pathogens. I'm no expert, so I use great care to NOT do any harm when making and taking cannabis oil. Blue Bell just issued a recall for some ice cream that may be contaminated with listeria, which killed a few people recently. Their processing facility looks pretty nice, a lot cleaner than any of the pictures posted showing how cannabis oil is made. Point being that you can really do some damage with a contaminated product. I suggest looking over the process that you intend to use and see if you can ensure that the end product is safe. My routine involves a spray bottle with iso alcohol to clean surfaces, wearing gloves and decarbing the oil at 248F to kill off anything that might be present. Anywhere water is present, even in very small amounts, there is risk of pathogens.

Thanks circuit, for reaffirming sterile practices. It's one of those messages that benefits from periodic revisiting.
