you using these bags to cure? how much weed do they hold where u buy them? do they work?
Anywhere from 1/2 lb to 1/4 ounce. Got them on a-zon and am told they are great my first time and my biggest yield ever. I think that they still need to be burped as usual.

what are the bags called? are they re useable ?

As mentioned,
I would suggest burping for the first few weeks still even if one of their marketing claims is that you don't need to.
It's either that or dry a bit longer than you normally would so there isn't a need to. I lost a bag full this spring...

As I understand it you dry/cure to 58 - 62% Before putting product in the bag(s).

Then of course you don't need to burp ;)

stoned random thoughts:rollit:

:ganjamon:getting pretty sick of all this rain in ontario, plus side i think it washes off the PM so you can see the mold starting better in rain-soaked buds :( 😟🙄

:ganjamon: noticed PM seems to be more a problem in city outdoor grows, i'm fighting PM on my outdoor grow in town but nothing on all my outdoors grows out of city. all my mates i gift clones to in city have PM issues and anyone in country don't have any PM issues. has anyone else notice this ??

:ganjamon: i don't even bother tracking flower times outdoors anymore. i go old school method for harvest; 80% brown and 80% curled down hairs then i break out digital microscope and 80% looks like someone sneezed on plants.

:ganjamon:this late in season i harvest all broken branches (shitz happen and weed growers don't like wasting anything). usually give to my chronic friend so he stops bugging me for weed during trim and cure time. last few years i noticed he don't bug me for a month after he gets broken branches smoke. i finally smoked some and it was fire, conclusion don't under estimate the weed you have to cut early :lot-o-toke:

Best I can do is 50% but I need to do this work on week-ends so I need a faster dry.
I don't mind getting up 10 minutes earlier in the morning to open, stir and then my coffe and lunch ready while they breathe.
Why I flowered my 2 indoor 2 weeks early. When the outdoor ladies are ready, I will be 4 week-ends of at least 8 hour days . Hoping to get some help.

From what I gathered, 1 week of burping twice a day and gradually slack off. Smell for chlorophyl and check RH. I have those little digital meters to esure proper RH in case. First use of both the bags and meter. Didn't want to chance it, nice grow.

I think you are misunderstanding what is considered a mostly accepted drying/curing process.

Check out the link in my signature....

In summary, hang for a week or so and take the buds off the branches.

Then into totes/large plastic containers with lids/etc., at this point you should be slightly under 70%.

Then burp twice a day until the buds have dried/cured down to your desired RH, be it 58 or 62%.

THEN the buds are placed in the Grove Bags for storage.

Cheers

"So I see", said the blind man to his deaf dog!
Thanks, Chuck-eye! I needed that clarified and glad that I bought a shit-load of them. I have never "aged" or cured my buds in the past. Hung them and trimmed at my leisure in the past. Took it to a whole new level when I met you all at 420.
I never heard of plastic containers though. I guess that they are cheaper.
Looks like I need to go to the nearby dollar store. My ol' lady says they have quite a few in stock.

Thanks, bro!:thanks:

Totes or plastic containers are a simpler solution to curing/burping larger quantities of buds.

That is, compared to having to burp multiple mason jars ;)

Please read my "how to" and pay particular attention to the RH stages.

Very simple and doesn't take a lot of time but will result in a well cured and mold free product.

Cheers

not having read the history of this conversation,, i only wanted to say that i too use plastic containers for my drying and curing process,, least i have been when i gots weed to cure,,

i use the coffee tubs , folgers tubs,, mainly started using them cuz they hold lots of weed,, when i cured my outdoor grows

btw,, how is this for funked up,, i dunna clean them first either,, i spose i want the coffee flavour to infuse into the weed a bit,, ha

i truly find the tubs cure just about perfectly,, no air leaky drying out or similar

oh,, friends in eastern canada,, peace and love to y'all,, so difficult a time, in so many ways, indeed

and i am not bragging, at all, like i have anything to do with this,, b.c. has been setting record temps again,, another kind of climate change affect

i have been comparing photos from my best outdoor harvest of two years ago,, and i conclude that this years plants are weeks behind

and i have a theory,,

we have had such a sun filled summer, seriously almost non stop since june, sun,,

i think the light reduction needed for the plant to begin flowering has taken longer this year because of the near zero cloud cover,, the plants are at their max of the year to begin flowering,, plain and not so simple,,

anyway,, peace and love friends,, be safe please,

That makes sense. This year my plant in the ground took longer to shift into flower than I've ever had, and it's been the driest sunniest summer since I started growing here.

what you mean 50% is the best you can do ... u lost me...

slow dry is best.. hang to dry for 3 - 4 days then trim.. then into your bags and burp alot

put them in the bags wetter than dryer .. i find makes for a better cure.. im using the jars with
humidity packs 62% i put in extra packs.. to help draw out the excess humidity ..

this is the most important part of your 12 weeks or so of a grow.... anyone can grow few can cure..
