Was that wheat tortillas? What if you need a gluten free diet do you sub Corn? Early morning sarcasm.
Have heard of various additions such as apple, oranges and the like. The only problem is that those products add or subtract moisture but not to a set amount. Boveda will set the moisture content to the amount on the packet such as 62% and comes in various % for a personnel preferance...honestly I have no idea if Boveda alter's the profile of the pot but would love to see some actual research on that matter if you have it....
I don't have any research other than once doing a side by side. Could all be the placebo effect lol! I use flour tortilla and I've used orange peel back in the day but learned exactly what your saying..adding too much moisture from an organic source like citrus peels can definitely cause bacteria growth in your buds. I do however pull the tortillas when the humidity is around 68%.. this way I can watch the 62-65% range and have leeway to adjust. Your right though, bovada packs take this work away and do it on their own but call me old school.. I've just heard for years not to use em and the one experiment I did leaves to too believe this is true.. I think you should try curing both ways and see any differences for yourself. Happy growing brother!!

I've never heard this.. Interesting... I'm also a newbie. It's been an interesting journey last two grow and now just harvested one of three in my 4x4. I've had a chance to cure two grows. Each of the grows was about a 1.5 pound jared up. I used Integra Boost 62% humidity packs. My pot from both grows are still curing in jars with those packs over 8 months for my first grow... experiment accepted.

As a new grower I find myself constantly doing little experiments with soil, waterings, fertilizers, lights and so on and now I will leave a few jars without humidity packs. Hopefully getting better each grow.

I lollipopped the hell out of them my last grow. I pinched every bud site under the top node on every branch leaving the fan leaves down to third node. It was kinda of an experiment. The quality looks amazing, but no real huge buds or actually one huge bud on top? No stacking really keeps the size down. After harvesting I may think I'm closer to my goal at least for the first plant harvested. Goal is 117g. I think by looking at them I may have gotten it using this technique.

Don't know how I'm going to tell when they're dry. There's no small buds on branch to snap off. That's how I've gauged in the past... I have them safely drying around 62% humidity.

This is what the Big Bud looks like hanging and room is totally dark. Got the RH dialed in at about 62% / 60°f

Hey bud I suggest getting humidistats they're cheap and small and fit in individual jars. This is my fool proof method. And 117gr is great for a newbie!!! I myself in 5 gall pots at home pull about that each plant.. so your crushing it! Happy growing brother

Hey guys explain to me once more how to upload a photo for the monthly contest.. I'm burnt;)

I've got a pile of them.... Thanks brother... I may just cure all of it without humidity packs.

Yeah bud, for my homegrown I try to hang for 7-10 days and I've found that if you jar it exactly at 60-65% Humidity you won't get a hay smell at all! The key is to be right on with your timing.. not under dry or too wet. It's a real fine line but you'll see a remarkable difference and I think once you do it, you'll likely always want those results!! Happy growing brother

I like these, they're not oscillating, but I really like the volume they move for the price!
those are the fans i use ,cant beat the price and i am 2 yrs in and they still work like a charm , 3 of those in a 7x7 grow room , i drilled 2 holes in the base and screwed them to the walls , the head of the fan rotate so its easy to point them in the direction i need

that exactly how i use them, ran one screw through each to the roof. That way i could rotate them as well when adjusting.

hey guys and girls have you ever seen a fan leaf like this

10 point leaf one on 2nd level

speaking of leafs wow 3 - zip leafs.. wow

I'm off to get some for sure now!

The shop vac took a round out of it? I do it all the time.
me too

Tough time in BC with the weather. I wonder how many feet of snow all that rain would equate to?
I'll say Oddie, I know lots of people who were evacuted, one of my friends lost his house. Very sad time and it could get worst. Southern BC got walloped this year, first COVID, then fire and now flooding, when are the locusts coming? The plagues are upon us it seems.

So sad, feel bad for all those people whose life is turned upside down .
The pictures they are showing on tv are devastating. I used to travel through the coquhaulla and lower mainland every year and it is beautiful country. Looks totally different now.

Prayers go out to all those affected.

Thanks for the kind words Pepper
