That's to bad especially after all the time put in on the grow. If I read it right you had the buds in containers and just wondering if you had any humidity packs in with them such as Boveda?.....
Hey Chungo thanks for the good advice, I've used the Boveda packs in the past and they work but my unused ones that I bought two years ago got hard and wouldn't work. Normally I have no problem as our local climate is tinder dry, and most of the time I have to watch out that the buds don't get too dry. I've had some trouble making cobs because the buds were too dry before I cobbed them. My problem was I put the buds (which obviously weren't dry enough) in containers too early, (rookie mistake) and eventhough I fanned them each day there was still too much water left deep inside the buds. I'm kinda damned if I over -dry and damned if I don't.

On a happier note I'm enjoying all the great discussion on inside grows that you guys are having. In about a week I'll be heading to Arizona and then Spain for a few months. My buds should be primo when I return, and I will check ocassionally on this site to see how you guys are doing. Adios.

Lucky you heading to Spain. The Boveda packs when they get hard I turf them but I have seen some people claim you can rehydrate them however I just turf them. I just dug out some G Gelato from the freezer and threw in 2-3 Boveda packs a couple of days before I rolled up up a joint. It was as sticky as when I put it in the freezer 2 years ago.....

To much doing the snowbird thing! Never seen Arizona or Spain and most likely never will. Collect seed in Spain! Harvested another plant today, two left to go.

FWIW here's how I re-hydrate my Bovida packs.
Take an empty margarine or sour cream container and an empty fruit cup container. Fill the fruit cup half full with water and peroxide, put that in the larger container. Place Bovida around the outside of the half filled fruit cup, put lid on and place on top of the heat register. Check every few days.

Last spring I forgot about mine... 2 weeks later the salts in the Bovida turned to liquid, they seem to be fine and seem to be working fine for me. They have turned back to jell over time... a very long time but none the less they have been working the whole time.

Try not to get the bag wet.

Nice bud pic Oddy, I order seeds from Spain all the time. One seed in particular I would like to find is Reina Madre (Queen Mother). Supposed to be an exceptional nearly pure sativa. While I was there last time a nice fella who ran a Cannabis supply store in Jerez, in the province of Cadiz, southern Spain gave me an indica bud, the only cannabis I had in Spain. Still a bit iffy with the local police though, so I've got to be carefull, say when buying shitty Moroccan hash which is about the only thing you can get on the street. Perhaps I will wait until I get home to partake again. But I'll keep my eye open for unusual genetics for sure.

Thanks Bobbie, Great advice and great song, I love Hoyt!

Moroccan and Lebanese hash sucks ...black Afghan is what you want.

got it hooked up in the tent .. running 2 tsl2000 315 watts and the cmh de 630 watt .. gone to 12 /12 bloom now..

1260 watts of light in the 5 x5 be only running the 630 for about 10.5hrs a day .. see how the plants do ..

temp in tents are very good.. so thats 50.4 watts per sqft .. thats about the the peak unless you co2 in enhance
old school stuff was 50 watts per sq ft of flourescent tubes. at 2 inches from canopy ..
no intensity ... or little ..

Just a heads up... bovada packs should only be used for a very short time if you screw up and over dry. They obstruct Terpines taking away flavor from your final product. This is not just one guys opinion, most intermediate and "master" growers will tell you this. Do a side by side experiment and you'll see for yourself:) There's a simpler trick if you've overdried which is cheaper and doesn't have these negative effects. If interested, hmu..

I had to look up hmu....
Why keep it a secret - we all want to know...not?

I'm not claiming to know of what I speak I was just sharing what I've done in the past and thought I did good... or good enough anyways. All knowledge is welcome, it is up to each individual to decide what is good for them.

Short time? does that mean it is not a good idea to just leave them (Bovida) in the jar all the time?

Personally my grows ain't any better or worse than what my friends are buying online... welll actually that's wrong too I have had some terrible stuff. What I'm trying to say is nothing to brag about yet but when it happens I would prefer to not mess it up.

If the Bovida messes with the terpines then I would assume any re-hydrate method is probably similar... you kinda left us hanging here.

Sorry brother I'm not used to using em at all but hang time into jars can be tricky. I would only use em a short time to rehydrate though, imo they leave your buds a little harsher. Of course my opinion doesn't mean much lol! My boss also doesn't use em for the same reason. Didn't mean to come off as a dick there..my texting abilities are sometimes lacking lol

Oh yeah, if I have to rehydrate at work we'll use plain flour tortillas though I'm not exactly sure of the legality that. It leaves no taste or flavor and doesn't seem to mess with Terps or cannabinoids.. this is really the easiest way to rehydrate a bigger crop that you'll never get to until shit dried out lol

Was that wheat tortillas? What if you need a gluten free diet do you sub Corn? Early morning sarcasm.
Have heard of various additions such as apple, oranges and the like. The only problem is that those products add or subtract moisture but not to a set amount. Boveda will set the moisture content to the amount on the packet such as 62% and comes in various % for a personnel preferance...honestly I have no idea if Boveda alter's the profile of the pot but would love to see some actual research on that matter if you have it....

I've never heard this.. Interesting... I'm also a newbie. It's been an interesting journey last two grow and now just harvested one of three in my 4x4. I've had a chance to cure two grows. Each of the grows was about a 1.5 pound jared up. I used Integra Boost 62% humidity packs. My pot from both grows are still curing in jars with those packs over 8 months for my first grow... experiment accepted.

As a new grower I find myself constantly doing little experiments with soil, waterings, fertilizers, lights and so on and now I will leave a few jars without humidity packs. Hopefully getting better each grow.

I lollipopped the hell out of them my last grow. I pinched every bud site under the top node on every branch leaving the fan leaves down to third node. It was kinda of an experiment. The quality looks amazing, but no real huge buds or actually one huge bud on top? No stacking really keeps the size down. After harvesting I may think I'm closer to my goal at least for the first plant harvested. Goal is 117g. I think by looking at them I may have gotten it using this technique.

Don't know how I'm going to tell when they're dry. There's no small buds on branch to snap off. That's how I've gauged in the past... I have them safely drying around 62% humidity.

This is what the Big Bud looks like hanging and room is totally dark. Got the RH dialed in at about 62% / 60°f
