Camo's 1st Grow - Coco - LED - Lucas Autos - Poll Of Strain To Grow

Hey GG thank you for stopping in! Haha I love the analogy you got there pot grown in pots. Yes I'm very excited to see how much I can't get off her ! I know LEDRF just got 4 oz I would like to grow her big with training and careful hand feeding in coco and get 3 oz from her and pose for a potm ! Or maybe the white widow will get huge she is the XXL ! Just so log as they keep growing, eh?

Hey farside yeah I think I'm gonna leave the led 36in away and then put the hangers in and drop them to 24in! Thank you for stopping by brother

The closer your lights in veg the tighter your node spacing will be. I suggest you go as low as you can while still maintaining a reasonable footprint for your space. By the time they are 6" high they can take full power. When they get to 6" lower the light as low as possible while still covering your space. If you can get it down to 6" over the plants and still cover all then do it. If not then raise it just enough to cover space. 24" above is good for seedlings.

KEEP in mind I have been using the same lights as you so my opinion is based on successful experience with the same equipment.

Good luck.

Well that ones answered for you man...

Ok og sorry for the long wait on the reply my friend ! Been busy and tangled up with daily duties around house. I have kept them at 33In. The seem to still be nice & tight nodes. Tomorrow they will be 7 days from breaking ground and I will lower to 24in since that is what you do and you have the same damn lights ! I thank you for thoughts and always appreciate the help. Later on I'm sure when they get tall I will be within inches of led ! But luckily these 2 150x3w leds pretty much covers my 3x3 area ! I'm thinking of adding a 3rd 100x3w in flower that has mainly red diodes !

Also I think if you are trying to get 3' per long side on the lights then you will likely have to raise them a little over my preferences for that width of coverage. I can get away 4" above the plants as I am only going 2' on the long side and moving it to the short side. Even before I got the mover I was only going 2' deep not three. To get three you might need 12-16" above with those 90 degree lenses.

Looks like you are off to a great start :thumb:

I am sure you will find that the training and light adjusting is not all that complicated, you will do just fine :high-five:

Only thing that caught my eye was the rope for adjusting your lights , it appears you have them bundled on top of the light fixtures. I was reading where someone did that and the tail of the cord dropped down in the fan opening and burn up his fan on his new light. I am sure the odds are pretty slim but better safe then sorry is my motto.

OG: A good sign of having enough light is when the tips of your plants turn albino white. Not burnt, just colorless. You recognize it when you see it ;-) if you have any bleach tips then you have just enough light :-)
Had to laugh! I had two Super Silver Haze girls that I just chopped that were growing up and over my LEDs that were sitting on the tops of the cross bar light supports in my tent. Up and over! That will be the last time I try a 70-30 sativa mix! lol

Camo, looking good, grasshopper! After the kids hit 5-6 inches, I have them under a 300 watt LED for a week or so before hitting them up with more in the veg tent. Too much - too fast is a bad thing, but done gradually, like you are, you won't have any issues with burning. I don't know why people have this misconception that LED burns plants. It does not.
Glad to see you're up and running, after all, this! Now let's grow a pound, shall we??

Older how are you my friend? Any hiking trips lately? Also congrats on latest award under your name you lucky devil. You deserved it, had my vote ! Thank you very much for the pointer, I had actually thought of doing something with them cause they just don't seem safe on top of the leds. I will rig something up with the cords to be safe. Cause those damn leds costed way to much for some nonsense like that.

Mcdive! Glad to have you pop back in ! I will be doing a week old update in a few minutes actually. DAMN that is crazy how tall your plants hot in your tent! I hope mine don't get that tall haha, mostly indica strains is what I'm growing this grow. I ant some fruity stuff next grow! Blueberry and oranges, and maybe some GSC & green crack from fast buds. Some blackberry kush from dutch passion..... ;) ;) ahhh ok let me get off my high horse haha :) just dreaming if my next seed order.
Oh BTW I thank you for your 0.02 on leds and burning. I fed recharge today 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of ph'd water5.7. I give that every other afternoon and feed in the am when I wake up before work. I will post what I feed in update below !

Edit also mcdive really think I could grow a pound ??

We're always watching, Camo, I just speak up once in a while. You've been in good hands. Not much I can add.

Actually.... I run LEDs and it most certainly does burn. If lowered too soon, on too delicate of leaves it is just like putting freshly sprouted seedlings out into full summer sun. At least for MY LEDs it is... But mine might have a higher intensity, and penetration than yours.

Every time I bring new genetics home from an outside grower, if I go down to the recommended 10" and 100% intensity right off, I fry the little clone batch and it was a waste of a trip. I have to back off to at least 60% at 24" and gradually work them up from there. LEDs can burn my friend, just like it's possible for organics to burn if done wrong, which is another misconception floating around...

UPDATE DAY 7
Hey everyone ! Thank you for following my grow and coming by to chill with camo ;) now put your blunts in an upright position and fire em up. Wish I had some bud porn or nice big plants for you just some week old seedlings. I am feeding floranova bloom, calmag, armor si, and recharge for bennies. I started feeding today with 1.25ml armor si, 1ml of calmag, 3 ml of floranova bloom with a gallon of tap water sat out for 24hr. I feed every morning and give bennies every other afternoon.
