Cajuncelt's Spring 2015 Grow - Blue Dream - Bubba Kush - Critical Cure - Etc

Transplanted some of the Blue Dream & Bubba Kush into their 2 gal fabric pots. They'll stay there until the flip. Then to 5 gal. I'm not going to veg these too long, so don't need the big pots yet.

Oh, & I got my auto grow up n going. I'm not a huge fan of autos, but these are supposed to change my perspective.
Y'all come over & bail me out if I start jacking them up.
I have 1/2 of them in the organic soil mix from work & half in my "revised" & soiless version. I want to see if my changes to work's mix is better.
 
Are you going to do a photo comparison also? is that what's grown at work? Seems autos require slight differences in feeding schedule than photos.. Feel like been saying this a lot lately, everybody's on the auto bandwagon, but Atrains consistent results with various autos is mind blowing really.. He's got his feeding chart up but he's got some good info on their growth periods. He'll p/m it to you, or I can if you want it.. He's Got me ordering them...hope better than the ounce plants I've grown previously...

Yes, they'll be grown side by side so pics will show what's up. We don't grow autos where I work, but I'm using the same soil.
I've grown dozens of autos & all my past journals had a few autos. I just don't like them.
It's hard to pay the same price, same lights/nutes for a fraction of the yield.

That said, I'm 60 pages behind so I went with the Autos the head cultivator suggested.
The bean co is a co-conspirator with us, so most of the Autos were free, except for a few I chose.

I'll go check out Atrains grow. Anything to avoid the typical 12" high, 1oz'er autos I usually get.
I've been assured that the genetics of my autos are very improved than what I've grown in the past.

I got 6 oz each from 4 indoor photo 4 ft Sour D's under 600 w hid w/ heavy toping and 20-30 colas each. Are auto's THAT different? I've only grown auto amnesia, with 7 under same conditions. I only got a few more oz's but attributed it to the 7 grown in about the same space as the 4 were grown. Three were 4 ft (mothers) and four were 3 ft (clones of those mothers), all harvested at the same time. I don't understand how they were all ready to harvest at the same time. Cloned mothers turned photo due to stress? I didn't notice at the time, but the mothers were showing sex when I took cuttings. Did they re-veg? And cuttings re-veged? I don't know... Anyone care to weigh in? I cut the lights to 12-12 when I saw them flower (re-flower?). I guess they were as confused as I was/am.
I was not impressed with the high or taste (the 'up to 25% change' I talked about in another thread?:rofl:).

Good morning John, I think I can answer your question about "AUTOS". After talking to a local grower who has played with autos, it is my understanding that clones from any plant are the same "age" as the mother including autos. As such, because autos are genetically predetermined to mature after a certain age regardless of light schedules, it is impossible to keep an auto mother and clones taken off an auto will mature at the same time a the plant they were cut from.

I beg to differ Celt. I did an experiment on cloning autos and much to my surprise I found that if you take a cutting right before or at the first sign of pre-flowering the clone will spend about a month in limbo (meaning it will grow but stay stagnant at that point in flowering). You won't get a large plant, just one branch but it will gain some height before resuming to it's timeline.
Here's a pic of that clone today which I ended up pollinating to get some beans out of. The mother was chopped about a month and 1/2 ago.

Just caught up and it sounds like things are going well.
So you ended up in the Springs, I don't get out much, but we could get together sometime.
Nice to see you got some seeds going, it has been awhile.
I saw you stopped by my re-veg Goat. I'm loving this out door growing and she is doing great.
I'm going to re-veg her again and maybe you can help me get some clones from her.

I'm in Denver this weekend for the Gypsy Jane Marijuana Fest. We have a vendor's booth there. I think we're only 1 of a few dispensaries going to be there. I'll be the only one (I promise) with a Cowboys shirt on. Lol.

I love being in the boonies in the Springs, but Denver is pretty freaking awesome. Just meet all the folks at a very well known grow place that use all LED. 100% LED.
Thought It was pretty cool.
 
While I'm on, I have something to share with you freaks that I don't see mentioned much.

I know how 95% of dispensaries categorize bud as Tier 1, Conassoir, Top Shelf, etc.
More importantly, I now know how 95% of the growers for those dispensaries get their flowers to that level in the last few weeks.

They use oils. They use them the way I use to use molasses. Not just one kind either, but up to 6 & more.
That's how they get the major trich & terpene production.
That might be common knowledge, but I just learned about it in the past month.
 
It's not common knowledge, it least not to me Cajun. What type of oils are they using and how are they applying it?
