Ah. Another golden nug from ya. I didn't know that about the THC Bomb. It's the stretchy pheno. I was about to put her in the back of the line sort of speak, but I'll keep her in Beverly Hills now. :idea:

I've asked around, but I think folks might think I'm joking about this but, what kind of eye protection can I use, cheaply, for this light? The television is black & white for 20 mins after leaving the grow.
This light is definitely not for an aquarium.

Almost forgot! YES.. eye protection seriously recommended. The only company we know making true LED grow light glasses right now is a company called Method 7. Check them out. They make clip on style for prescription glasses and sunglasses as well.. although I believe they are heavily back ordered on the sunglasses.

Very highly recommended. It's what Xbones uses over in his thread under 2 x P1200s and 4 x P450s. Gives about as close to perfect clarity as you can get.. and you can take photos behind them! Bonus!

I was afraid you would say that. I'm very familiar with M7's. The whole line is awesome. Serious glasses there.

I'll try my fishing glasses until Santa gets here.

it gets brighter? LOL nice. I think you'll like your new rig. pulling a pound and tearing it down with cajuncelt :hippy:

The panel has 2 buttons: Veg & Bloom. They're both on in the pic. Turning Veg off didn't get brighter, but got more of the red spectrum only. I think hitting them with just that the last 5 days or more may be worth trying.

If someone's tried & it's not worth it...let me know.

If you look, either switch controls exactly 50% of the diodes on the panel. 9 of the 11 bands are controlled by the veg switch and 2 of the 11 (630nm, 660nm) are on the flower switch. Thus.. turning off the veg switch wouldn't make anything brighter since you just cut power by 50%.. but yeah, it would leave the reds on.

So, I wouldn't say that cutting 50% of the panel in the later days would be beneficial. Give them strong light all the way up to harvest! Blow 'em up!

Watch 'em though.. as the ones that I had experience with STRETCHED from literally 8" at the start of 12/12 to around 36" at finish.. but holy hell amount of flowers...talk about clipping blisters..

I don't have to convince you & Skunny. You two already know. I'm hoping the plants, light & I get our groove on pretty quick. So far, I'm excited. I won't use MH's for veg ever again. I'm going to take the fixture (MH hood) apart & see if any hardware can be used for other things.

Welders goggles... perfect. I sent you reps over that one.

Hey man. Where you been hiding. It's harvest time over there isn't it? I haven't seen your journal pop up. Figured you had a microscope glued to your hand by now.

Not really scrogging this round. The net is for holding up future buds. They're fully trained & tied up under there. I like the net better than stakes. Looks weird on an indoor small grow, but it's just easier in the long run. And, you don't kill roots.
 
Yeah, football always gets top priority, and we got fantasy football playoffs soon, so I've been sidetracked lol. I've updated the journals, cut 4 of the 8 mainline colas today. When I cut the other 4 I'll post pics. Hoping for decent weight since the HGK let me down

Good morning weed cajun. That new light is looking good in there. I'm not growing this winter. I netted about 4 lbs this year so I'm slowing down for awhile. I do have my new LED above a bunch of herbs that we use a lot of and it is doing great. Your girls are looking really healthy under that light. As you are saying you are thinking this is the thing of the future. Happy Days :yummy::rollit::passitleft:

I have to be fair & unprejudiced so will absolutely say yes. I haven't flowered with any LED fixture, but for Veg, I will never use MH & ballasts again. There's just too much of a difference. The only real issue I've to work out now is the lack of heat! Haha. That's an easy fix.

If these lights keep up with the plants (they're set in "explode" mode), I will be donating all HID fixtures too someone.
The environment/atmosphere in the LED grows are night & day compared to the HIDs.
It's like a semi-prairie vs the rain forest.

The plants prefer the color spectrum of LED to HID. When placed under both (at least in veg), the plants raise their arms & lean up to the LED fixture.

Most know, I'm a hardcore HID man. Even kept up the fight this year.
No more. I'd just be & sound ignorant now.

The pics don't do it justice. I am having to step up the watering. As on the other grow, it's strange. The media is still very moist, but the rez's & fabric 5 gal pots are almost empty! That's how fast they're growing. I flipped 3 nights ago & have nodes opening already.
