Just FYI.. CC is running 1 x P450 unit.. that with forum discount, comes to just a hair over $500 with free shipping to your door. As we're seeing.. it's meeting and/or exceeding a 600w HPS.

Should be fun to see these results
Remember too that all of this is done with only a 274w~ draw, 5 year warranty and an easy 7-10 year lifespan of the unit. Add up the costs of new HPS bulbs, 300w+ more power consumption, cooling, etc etc.. and the lights easily pay for themselves.. and not to mention, produce higher quality flowers at the same time. Cannabis grown under quality LED lighting will indeed test with higher %s of THC/CBD on average. It's a fact..
Not long ago.. HID still had the edge. However.. that's changed. The technology has increased while the prices have decreased and finally.. the we're at the intersection point where the advantage overall has gone to LED.

Looking good there Cajun. Jeez four 11 Bravos and Charlies here, my secondary MOS was 91Bravo and it seemed like it was my primary for all three years. It sucked being a company medic, with sick call so dang early. My ETS was 4/1970 as an E5. Spent 6 months in the RVN jungle mountains setting up LZs before I got my ticket out of there. Anyone experience Ft Polk, La and it's infamous Tigerland? It was a hell of an experience, but it did prepare me for the nights.

Ah, ft Polk, the armpit of the army. We trained there a few times and out at ntc (Irwin) in death valley. But if ft Polk was the armpit, then ft hood is the buttcrack of army. As you can see, I wasn't a fan of the south. But it's always good to know we still have a group of brothers in arms here

I'm batting 1000 as I once again agree. Plus, you lose the exhaust fan for the light as well as the ballast. That's another 200w's your saving.
The light itself is definitely equal to a 600w hps. A friend has a similar light, different brand & is 1200w! There's no comparison. The Platinum is hands down the winner & is supposed to be half the light he has.
