Cafe Racer Outdoor And Indoor, Perpetual Grow

Hi Danish. I have cal-mag in a bottle but no manganese. Although I have given them a Cal-mag boost earlier on, my 20-20-20 nutes have plenty og manganese.

The top dressing didn't seem to help so will spray a 10% solution of h202, presuming that is hydrogen peroxide.

Been a while since I saw a post from your grow. All is well, I hope.
Cheers!

Most common is to have a issue with Cal/mag than manganese.
I know that Im using glacial rock dust
Magnesium (Mg)……………………..................………...0.9%
Iron (Fe) (actual)……….……………………………………3.0%
Manganese (Mn) (actual)…………………………….........0.05%

You would wanna know if the source of the problem is fungal or nutrients ?

Peroxide is if you wanted to kill some fungal spores.

Thanks, bro! That plant is screwed-blued-and-tattooed! Buds have gone mega dark but all 4 monsters were fed pretty much the same in nutes, just different quantities.

Will add a picture soon, for the purpose of science. It wasn't on the 420 link about pest and others problems.

C'est la vie!

Hey buddy! I hope the picture is clear enough.

Out of my other 2 fence monsters, the one on the left is darkening a little but not at this rate.
What do you think, my friend. She was top fed and sprayed with H2O2.

IMG_20220907_180505_resized_20220907_060711009.jpg

And to think that little Hannah, who was part of my indoor grow untill I only had room for 2 in the flower room, is the exact same age as the 2 behind her.

You just can't beat natural sunlight. Even though they got topped, the y are still forming some decent colas if all goes well.

Opinion?

Cheers!

I don’t see anything on the big fan leaf, what I do see is what seems like darker spots very close or at the bud. I don’t know if that’s rust, have you consider early signs of bud rot? (I’m not implying it is bud rot) I don’t see powdery mildew either.

Is that bud touching the fence? Or leaning against the fence? Cedar fence? Water retention on that wood rubbing constantly against the bud could become a problem.

She is a monster but I don't.think her rubbing the fence would hurt anything she would just grow with.it around it .

I did some research on Cafe Racer; actually very awesome mix of genes. So you could be seeing a cafe racer that exhibits mostly granddaddy purple pheno traits and could be a GSC chemotype… that’s just me wild guessing. But anyways somewhere down the linage of your current cafe racer are phenotype traits of purple Colors or darker Color.
It’s also saying it could reach 8ft tall outdoors. :dreamy:

Cafe Racer Lineage / Genealogy

As an indoor crop, Granddaddy Purple is equally happy in hydro or soil. With a pure indica heritage, this plant is predisposed to a short bushy stature. Granddaddy branches extensively, making her less than ideal for SOG style grows, but she can be trained to make an awesome super crop garden. When left to her natural tendencies, this strain will make a nice big shrub that reaches about 3 feet indoors or up to 8 feet outdoors. She is a hardy grower with tight internodes and dense dark green to purple leaves.

Granddaddy Purple is easy to work with throughout her growth cycle. She likes a cool temperature, between 70-80 F, and can be very forgiving so long as she is adequately watered. Due to her high resin output and dense structure, this plant can be alluring to mites.

Granddaddy Purple finishes her flowering cycle in 8-9 weeks. The buds are dense green nuggets that gain royal purple hues as they mature. Depending on the size she is allowed to reach, Granddaddy Purple can yield between 0.5 and 3.5 ounces apiece. outdoor plants will really deliver, with potential yields between 8 ounces and 5 pounds.

You are awesome, brother! :thanks:

Planted the outdoors too early. Ergo, the 10 footers. The insides are about 2 and a half to 3. You have no idea how much I appreciate efforts like this. Brings a tear to my eye.

So glad that we met and followed journals.

Have a fantastic Friday, my friend!

Starting phase lll of my perpetual. Bonzai Mom was good looking and needed a trim anyways. Have to throw alot away to keep it a Bonzai. BTW, the clones perked up nicely the following day.

My indoor flowers are coming along well at 8 weeks. Its a 10-12 week flower so I will cut the tops in a week or two and lower the light for a bit and will drought the rest after flushing. This was taken 8 days ago.
IMG_20220905_150849_resized_20220905_031002933.jpg

I managed to frame and scrog the outside monsters pretty well. We just has a SERIOUS downpour and the buds are getting heavy. They managed to stay up, regardless.

IMG_20220913_182114_.jpg

Took this from my bedroom window, was still raining. Crossing my fingers and hoping for good weather during their last few weeks. Will be needing a step ladder to top them, almost 10 feet tall now but still not as lush as the Jack-Herer that Bill grew a while back.

Cheers, my friends.

Are you spraying with the Microbial Solution ?

Hi Azi! Thanks for asking and the answer is not sure.
I can' t get potatoe flakeds w/out garlic and I don't have brown rice, as you sugeested as a starch substitute.

If you are talking about dandy-tea, then yes. I just fell in love with that stuff. Made 4 clones, just need 2.

BTW. I started my own SIP's. Made the first water retainers today and it fit like a glove with my pots. Not easy with a polygon pot. Will show the start-up next thread but should have a full thread from start to finish come Sunday. I asked you a few questions about that on your thread and will look at it after I post.

The ring in the middle is 1 inch higher then the 3 inch water level. I will screw/brace some 1/4" chicken wire and top a little more diagonally to cut the wire-space in half.

My 2 ladies behind that are in week 8 of 12 and are getting sticky. One more ember than the other.

In about ten days I will top them and lower the light for half a cycle and get those neglected buds a going.

IMG_20220914_1week 8.jpg

I am looking forward to flowering indoor phase ll, they had a much more educated start!

More-so, stage lll.....Gonna test my SIP's. :yahoo:

Thank you for following!

Cheers!

Plenty of growers spray garlic extract on their plants, usually as a pest deterrent, but I don't see where it would that much of an issue.

I've never gone the gourmet route so yours will be more of a Fancy Pants version, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it, at least until there were some reason that would suggest against it.

I finally finished my 2 DIY SIP's, I should save alot of back pain in the future. Ended up that I didn't need the drain tubes. I gave the water-retainers 1/4 inch larger than the pots. Was the work of love.

There will be a perlite and gravel grow. The perlite will be fed @DYNOMYCO and her name is Lynda. The gravel will have Myko innoculants. It was the only one available on A-zon at the time so why not use it for a competitive grow.

This is a unique SIP made from sheet-metal and chicken wire, and of course, the tubing. I work with sheet-metal so it's a freebie for me. :slide:

Chicken wire can be a bitch. Wear gloves or ouchies!

They ended up looking like this: The 4 inch ring is upside-down. The holes are a little lower than the retainer at 3 inches.
IMG_20220914_133228.jpg

I strained the gravel through the same wire to avoid too much crap in the water. For the perlite, I had to criss-dross another layer of 1/4 inch chicken wire just to hold the perlite. Put Gravel around the edges first.

Ready for up-potting and the roots are both healthy.

To this:
IMG_20220918_154826_resized_20220918_035136224.jpg

I needed to add 2.5 gallons of soil from their originhal 2 gallon pots. Saves me the math. Those pots are 4.5 gallons. lol.
I put 5 litres or close to a gallon of water with ROOTS accelerator gold in the mix. Dang @Bill284 , that shit is costly.
I have more mix ready and will be watching them like a hawk for wilting. Worse comes to worse, I will water the edges untill the roots go through to water.

My flower ladies downstairs will be topped next week-end. Then will lower the lights a few hours as recommended by @Hafta a few months back ( I took notes). Then dry the rest two weeks later. According to my estimates, I should be topping my outside monsters in between.

I scrogged and framed the outside and it seemed to work. Rained cats and dogs the other day. They supassed 10 feet and I took this pick from my bedroom window just afterwards. They held up nicely. I will be needing a step ladder to top her.
IMG_20220913_182114_.jpg

I topped both quads a while ago to tame their height... Didn't work. As Bill suggested, I stuckem in rooting paste and planted them. Older pics but budding well 1/4 ounce a piece. My third clone from phase ll (only had room for two) grow was put outside among them and she is flowering well also. Raining so the lighting sucks, will only post 1.

IMG_20220918_185704_resized_20220918_065835529.jpg

The aroma is suprisingly mild until my fingers brush them as I do my trim. STICKY FINGERS with a nice smell of hash..... I love hash!
All in all, I am a happy camper. Will be busy soon.

Thanks again my friends. Looking forward to wath the SIP's do their thing!:slide:

Cheers!

Looking good, Scott! :thumb:

For funnels, I use the top an inverted water bottle. The mouth of the bottle fits down into the pipe and it has a much larger opening on the other end than your blue one. Makes watering go  much faster.

:bravo:

What a update Scott, lots of things happening for ya, looking really good. You went quick with the SIP pots. All your plants are looking fantastic
:high-five:

Kudos

Great looking system, very innovative.
Hope it holds together for you.
Gardens are fantastic, I don't know which to compliment first. :bravo:
Everyone looks so healthy and happy.
All you need is a tiny bit of REG, works great believe me. ;)
Great work Amigo.
Hope you are having a great day. :ciao:
Take care.

Am a lottle worried though but I took your advice and didn't top feed them. It has been 2 days since pot and the lower leaves have started to wilt. They only have a little gravel or perlite to penetrate the chicken wire, and 1 inch of air. I hope that they can survive off the moisture. I will have some water and root excellerator ready for when I get up tomorrow morning in case they wilt more.

My monsters outside are thickening nicely. Will need a step ladder when I top them 3 weekends from now. YAY!
Just bought a shit-load of grove bags.
IMG_20220920_143313_resized_20220920_025211461.jpg

Those two plants that had dark buds that I told you about seem to be OK. Under the proper sunlight, I did see a purple hue and not a rot brown as originally expected. The surrounding sugar leaves are also starting to darken. Very strange that 2 out of 4 are doing so, and not side to side.

Never seen this before, hope its not a bad thing!
