Ok here we go,
There have been a 2 more casualties.
Both confirmed hermies.
The first pic shows the male sack on one of the plants.
The female portions are all on lower nodes, it is only the upper node(s) which show male so what I decided to try was to top the head off and see if by chance it will turn out female, there are definite pistols showing on the lower nodes so I will give it a day or 2 to decide before it gets the axe..the other one is exactly the same so the experiment is taking place on 2 separate but relatively equal plants.
Here is a wide shot of whats going on, I took all of these pics tonight with a 10-22mm lens at 10mm so perspective is way off here (the grow box is 6 feet long and 3 feet wide by 5 feet tall). Also the lights were on so I did my best to balance the color. The taller plants on the left are all roughly 14" tall not including the pots.... the shortie section is on the right.
Medium group shot of the 4 taller ladies on the left, they look super healthy in person and seem to love the new nutrient combo (Grow Big, Tiger Bloom and Open Sesame)
This is the biggest of the ladies, the front most plant on the left in the wide shot, she is not topped, but she is LST to the max, the main stem is still below the rest of the other branches but she is starting to rear her beautiful head, this is the top of one of the branches:
Here is a shot showcasing the "Shorties", the front 2 and the rear right are confirmed females at this point, the tall lanky unit in the back has still not decided what he/she wants to be, and then there are 2 shorties in smaller pots that are castrated hermies.
Of these three plants, one is confirmed female which I actually topped BEFORE it confirmed, luckily enough for me, this happens to be the first clone I decided to try and so far it looks to be very much alive in the clone dome.
Did you have a stoner moment looking at the last picture? hahah, just my gift to you who are visiting my journal.
Sorry about the color discrepancies, the HPS lights really tweak the color out,
So far everyone looks happy and healthy, I am watering by the weight method, and using nutes at varying strengths with every watering so far during 12/12.
Let me know if I should be doing anything different.
Thanks for stopping by.
Man I guess no one is really interested in my grow journal.
It seems like I am talking to myself in here more than anything....
Sorry if it is a boring journal, but if I don't get some feedback soon, I guess I will stop wasting everybody's time and bandwidth....
im mos def tuned in bro... dont lose hope
I feel ya about the HPS light, tricks me all the time Im taking pics....
Plants are looking real nice, keep it up!!!!!
Well thanks everyone!
Is it just me? I feel like my plants are on the fast track, I mean I only switched to 12/12 about 9 days ago and it sure seems to me like flowers are starting to form on some of them without a doubt, I guess since this is my first indoor session, I am not used to the pace.....a week ago they looked basic.
More images from today, Day 13 of 12/12
Got in to the box before the lights went on to take some clean pics.
Here is a wide shot, the taller ones have been on a growth spurt that scares me. They literally grew 2 inches last night, if they dont stop soon I am in deep trouble.
A level view of the tallest babe
Moving in a little closer
Closer still
And we begin to see some detail
A little more exposure
And the hero shot.
Anyway, hope you like the shots.
I have what looks like little tiny snail trails on some of the bigger leaves.
I have been feeding them with a combination of Fox Farms nutes according to the schedule they publish.
In other words, I am on the week 6 schedule which is tiger bloom, big bloom and open sesame.
I mix the nutes in a 5 gallon container, then I adjust for a PH of between 6.3 and 6.8
Next week will be grow big, tiger bloom, big bloom and beastie blooms.
Every other watering, I use big bloom and adjust PH to the same range.
Some of the larger fan leaves are yellowing a bit which from what I read indicates an N deficiency, as well as a P ?
Hopefully since I will be back on Grow Big, the N will sort itself out.
The "snail trails" have kind of a gold sheen to them.....any ideas what this may be?
Please let me know what you guys/gals think at this point.
Also, please give me a general idea of when these ladies will stop stretching out.?.
Looks like some awesome unknown there! As far as the snail trails that could be a diff of some sort, meaning it might not be one at all..... not really sure though. Keep it up!
Thanks Tunes420! just visited your journal, amazing man!
It is definitely getting interesting in here.
The ladies have a mind of their own, and are stretching, I am going to probably have to start tying some of them down again to keep the stretch to a minimum.
My problem is I do not have any more lateral space left either so I could be in a quandary.
P.S. I made a mistake a couple posts up, I actually only have 9 plants in teh box right now, not 10 as I mentioned.
Ok need some help fast here folks, I am going to post these pics here for some help, but since my journal does not get very much traffic, I am also going to post over on the help forum to see if I can get a quick response.
This plant has the largest bud sites so far, 14 days into flowering.
There are about 4 fan leaves with these unusual discolorations and necrosis of the tips.
I need to know what action to take here before it gets worse.
I did water yesterday so they are all pretty wet right now, but I am thinking N deficiency?
And here is what the bud sites look like close up.
And a little wider shot for reference:
Any help would be fantastic, as you can imagine I am a little worried and could use some reassurance.
Thanks in advance all!
