Buysser's Very First Grow - Mars II 1600 Watt Attic Grow Using Growology

I would water at the recommended dosage (5ml/gal?). It's like cleaning the pool. Keeping it right from the start is easier than getting it right afterwards. I seriously doubt it would be too much and cause toxicity. You certainly could start at lower a concentration and work up in steps if that makes it easier for you, but you can't really break anything with Ca/Mg

My .02c

Thanks Gov!!
I may lean towards the conservative approach since this is my first grow to see if I can learn something from watching progress. I practically live in that room!!!

What I was wondering is that I technically only have one plant that shows signs of cal / mag deficiency and I do want to water all of them but do I give that one a little "extra" to compensate for her curling or just water and let her decide..??

Thanks again!!

should I use recommended strength when the Cal Mag supplement comes?ium deficiency. You can use Epsom Salts at 1 teaspoon per gallon as a magnesium and sulfate supplement.

I would use the calcium and magnesium supplement at full recommended dosage. I would start with 5 milliliters per gallon of Cal-Mag Plus and see how your plants react.

Ok. The cal mag didn't make it before I needed to water so I watered with 1 tsp of water with Epsom for now and then on the next water I'll go with the calcium and mag.

The water schedule I've been doing is water til it barely runs out bottom then leave till they need water (usually 4-5 days) then I water until it comes out bottom. I verify the dryness with lifting it too.

Hello everyone..
Time for a check up of the first ever attic grow. :slide: Things are progressing fine I think. I'm starting to focus on the next transplant once I get comfortable with the "when" timing. My plan is to move to one gallon smart pots under the LED at 24" with RO water + Growology step two + Cal Mag supplement watering as the plant calls for it.
Currently I have 5 under CFL's and while they are not gaining much height, they are definitely adding leaves and growing!! Here's a current shot of the five with grow schedules. What are thoughts on when to transplant to 1 gallons??
:thankyou:

Ripper 1 was planted in super starter plugs on July 17th and after a frustrating time, I replanted in Pro mix hp on August 10th with growology step one and she's been growing well since then. I have been using PH adjusted RO water and just gave it one watering with MAG only and now next one will be with CAL Mag supplement.

Ripper 2 same schedule only this one has been growing a little slower since day one. I noticed today that it has a small white spot on the top of one leaf in the center and a much smaller spot on a different leaf with nothing else apparent under the leaf.. I have been using PH adjusted RO water and just gave it one watering with MAG only and now next one will be with CAL Mag supplement.

This is Royal Queen critical fem that was planted directly to Pro Mix with growlogy on August 10th and seems to be good except a slight curling of a couple leaves (ones in center) I have been using PH adjusted RO water and just gave it one watering with MAG only and now next one will be with CAL Mag supplement.

These are both skunk haze regular planted directly to PRo Mix with Hp on August 10th. They are both doing good and growing out much more so then up. There going to run out of room pretty quick. I have been using PH adjusted RO water and just gave it one watering with MAG only and now next one will be with CAL Mag supplement.

So, I'm off to finish some reading on the topic but thoughts on when to move them to led and smart pot??? :hmmmm:

THANKS!!!

You're playing GOD my man, so it's up to you when you move them on. They all look well and in a fit state to be moved. I've had mine under LEDs from the time they are just about to show their heads without any problems.

Congrats on getting them this far after the troubles you had early on.

Thanks med. I'm glad to see improvement. It was the pro mix with growology for sure.
I think unless I hear otherwise that I'll be transplanting first of the week after a camping trip.

I would wait to transplant when your plants just become root bound and the roots just begin circling the bottom of the pot and then transplant your plants. You want the plant to at least be as tall as the pot is wide before transplanting your plants. Your skunk haze plants appear to be large enough to transplant.

Good know king. I like getting guidelines to give me an idea Tks. There doing great. Reminds me of a good report card for my kids.

Good shout Governmentchz, the hand held microscope I bought got binned. You needed super human skills to line up the scope to see down the tiny tunnel & focusing was pretty much impossible. I use a jewellers loupe now & it's easy peasy :)
