I normally start with 1/4 strength and build up.

I'd love to move to Colorado but my criminal record would make this impossible :(

With your cal mag, as Welshy says use a low dose. With youngsters I usually start them on 1/4 or 1/3 strength nutrients depending on how they look & adjust the cal mag in line with that. With fully grown plants I find 1.25ml/L is the ideal dosage, I think that converts to 5ml/gal to you guys over the pond so use that as your reference point :) I live in a soft water area in the UK so this is what suits me, if anyone from the US can chip in that would be great :)

Me too but family keeps me a long ways from the legal state where I am. And we all got baggage Skunny. Mines just 20 years ago (been careful since then).. ha

Do you water all your plants with cal / mag or just the ones that look like they need it. Seems like generally, most think with RO, I should water all plants....

I don't have any family just a criminal record, mines a long time ago too, probably 20 years ago from when I was young & stupid. I did enjoy being young & stupid though, they were great times :)
I water all my plants with it, if you're using RO water I'd say it's essential you use it on all yours too

I know... Young and stupid does have it's advantages although the judge didn't see things that way.. I think I want to come full circle and be old and stupid.. Seemed easier that way!! :high-five:

I think the Cal / Mag will be here today so gonna mix up a small dosage and start with it. :thanks:

I would water at the recommended dosage (5ml/gal?). It's like cleaning the pool. Keeping it right from the start is easier than getting it right afterwards. I seriously doubt it would be too much and cause toxicity. You certainly could start at lower a concentration and work up in steps if that makes it easier for you, but you can't really break anything with Ca/Mg

My .02c

Nice set up so far, for an attic. When I first started, I built a room with Panda Plastic in my old attic in an apartment, but it just got too hot in there and too cold in the winter. You will need AC and a heater.

That light doesn't have a huge footprint, so if you are going to train your plants to be wide, I would only do a few to be sure there is good bud coverage.

Thanks! So far I've been able to control the room but I have an Ideal 12,000 BTU to help with that plus I have a fan pulling air from the house which makes a huge difference. I think winter is going to be easier with a portable heater hooked to a thermo I already have.

I'm hoping the light will carry a 4.5 x 5' sog ok with a few plants to start with but eventually down to one.... My next purchase (don't tell my wife) will be 2 - 144 x 3's from Sarah that I will put on one side end to end. The other side is for water, etc.. Then I can start training towards the side more and have a bigger and better light coverage. The light reflecting in that room is amazing.
