Bud's Flowers With The Viparspectra KS5000

Let's do a little bit of an update here; because these plants.... Well, You'll see.
So here are these 4 gals right about a week ago. I thought they were done stretching then.

OK, a few days ago I took a couple of pics so I could see the difference in growth in the pics. Easier to tell just how much they've grown that way. They seem to have gotten bushier & a little taller in just a few days.

Yes, the ladies look more green and more bushier, love this color green so much.

Hiya guys. Going to do a quick update on things. Reason being I have to change my tent around to accommodate these gals. Check out this crazy ass growth. Do you think it has anything to do with the Viparspectra KS5000? I sure think it is playing a really big role in the grow.
Here's a pic from last week taken on 8-5-23.

She doesn't look all that bushy & still was almost 10" from the light in that pic.

Look at her now..... She's touching the light & has bushed out way more than I had planned.

Don't know what's going on with the Banana Pudding girl. She has stretched to about double what she was. But, her pistils are kind of short & stubby & not long & wispy. I'll just wait & see how things play out with her.

So today I have to get the plants out of the tent. Take the light down so I can get the exhaust fan & filter down.
Exhaust will be on the floor or pull it & install the portable AC so I can raise my light. That will give me another 12" or so. Fun, Fun, Fun ! Sure the hell hope she's done stretching !

These are my nutients for this grow. I'm using Mega Crop with added Silica. It's a really easy nute to use. You just start out at 2 grams per gallon of water around the time the seedling has 2 sets of leaves & work your way up by a 1/2 gram at a time. Every time the leaves start to look a little pale I just up the dose by a 1/2 gram per gallon. I do not go by the week 1 feed this amount, week 2 feed this amount. I go by the color of the leaves & the tips of the leaves. I want a nice slightly dark green leave with just a slight amount of tip burn. I don't want the leaves too dark, shiny or hooked though as to cause an "N" toxicity so I go by the leaf color to tell me when to feed & not a chart.

I've been using mega crop this grow and I'm loving the ease of it and the plants look good!

Highya BB,

Wow! What a difference a few days make! Reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk! Happy Smokin'

Damn it! I hate when that happens.

#FirstWorldProblems.
Yeah, on the bright side.... It will help make up for the Hermie Mint Kush & Wimpy Apple Betty. Still waiting for the A.B. to take root. She'll be an outdoor plant if she does. Found a spot between 2 sheds I'll try to grow it in. It'll probably get stolen... but going to try anyway.

Only bad part about MC is they change the formula too much & you have to figure out how to use it all over again.
Word of advice.... The one part MC & Bud Explosion together doesn't work well. I got toxicities every time. But Sweet Candy & the 1 part work fine as long as you cut back on the MC when you add the S.C. If you are feeding at 5.5 gr. you may have to cut back to 5 or even 4.5 gr. MC when adding S.C.

Each day I kept watching it & I swear it grew an inch or two each day. I was like, come on... stop growing, you're out of room. Typical girl.... never listens. Got the tent redone so I'll get some pics up today. "Please"... No more stretching...lol.

I'm just going to add some potash about week 5.
See how I go.

So here's how things are looking this bright & beautiful day. Totally removed the Exhaust Fan & Filter. Moved the intake Air to an upper duct vent hole. Hooked up the portable AC & have it set on 77F for now. I'll drop it a few degrees each week till I get down to 68F for the final 2 weeks. The light is now about 12" above the canopy.

She's budding up nicely so far. I'm still feeding her at 5.5 gr. MC & 3-mil. per gal. of Silica; but I've also started her on a low dose of Terpinator. I gave her 5-mil. per gal. of Terp. I'll increase this little by little if I don't see any ill effects from it. This grow has been sort of an experiment to see how things go. Adding slow release "P" to the soil to see if it stopped the yellowing of the leaves. Sure seems to be working as nothing has turned yellow at all. But I also added Dynamyko to the soil in the beginning of the grow & I fed Recharge at the beginning of flower. I'll be giving it another dose of recharge in a week or two. The strange part of this grow for me is, I'm not getting any burnt leaf tips. That's unusual for me.

And here is the Banana Pudding. She's a little smaller than expected. She is starting to flower a little better though.

Wow ! This has been one messed up grow. No end to the problems this time it seems.
As I mentioned in a previous post, the "Banana Pudding" wasn't flowering very well. I got tired of wasting time on a plant that's only going to give me popcorn buds. Not worth the time & effort & the other plant (Forbidden Fruit) could use the extra room in the tent anyway. I mean, look at the difference in plant & bud size. They are the same age.

I decided to move her out of the tent & plant her outside. Now I have a use for my Geo Flora Nutes.... lol. It stinks too much for me to use indoors. Especially since my tent is in my bedroom. I'm not sure if it will survive or not. Since I don't really care I guess it's a good plant to test the waters on an outdoor grow. But going from a SIP to inground soil / FFOF may be devastating for it. I guess we'll find out.

The "Forbidden Fruit".... the lone survivor ! She turned out to be a pretty big girl. Packing on more & more weight daily & has been a very easy plant to grow. I'd recommend this strain for a new grower since it does so well. She does drink a lot. I fill the res & 8 hours later it's empty again. She might even drink it in less time. I just happened to look after 8 hours. A few times I filled the res 3 times in one day, but I usually just stick to 2 times. I just fed her another gallon of Recharge 2 days ago. I'm gradually increasing the Terpinator every time I mix a fresh bucket of nutes. I started at 6 ml. per gal. & then 8 ml. & now at 10 ml. No adverse effects so far so I'll keep increasing it little by little. She did finally quit stretching. Her buds are filling out & turning into Colas. I'll get her tied to the stakes next weekend. This girl has stayed a really nice green throughout the grow. She has just the tiniest amount of tip burn on the leaves, which to me is perfect. I'm feeding at 5.5 gr. MC / 3 ml. per gal. of Silica / 10 ml. per gal. of Terp. Using Tap water. No idea what the EC or pH is. Haven't pH'd at all during this grow.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get this grow over with in time for one last grow before I have to take everything down for a while. Getting ready to paint the entire house, inside & out & do a little bit of remodeling. Planning to put the place up for sale around Jan or Feb so what ever I grow has to be done by then. Planning to move back east (IN., IL.,MO., or TN.) Just depends on the COL & job opportunities near the houses that are for sale.

I was thinking for my next grow I'd get some clones from 3 of my grow buddies, root them & let them grow 2 weeks & flip to flower. Then make this a seed grow by STS-ing a branch or 2 on each plant. Maybe get 6-9 plants in 1 or 2 gal. pots. Doing something like this would probably finish in the time frame I need.

Forbidden Fruit looks terrific but I hope the Banana Pudding can even last a week in whatever it's planted in! 110º days and living in sand and gravel probably is a bit of a shock. :)
There's a hole under the dirt that's about 3 feet wide & at least 2 feet deep that's filled with FFOF. I just cover the top of the soil with the dirt from the yard. The soil was also amended with Geo Flora nutes. If it makes it, I'll be surprised. But it's more of a test to see if anyone rips it out.
