Bud's Flowers With The Viparspectra KS5000

Hey guys, I know a lot of you are kind of new to the site so I'd like to introduce you all to @Preston9mm . Right now he's just been liking, but I'm sure he'll comment eventually. He was a member here when I first came to the site & he did some really great grows. Well, he was gone for a while.... but now he's back. So when he starts a journal you all might want to check it out. There were some good ones in the past that were a lot of fun like @Trala journals. Right now I think he's just getting a feel for how much the site has changed. Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy his grows.
I'm always around... I just like to hang back & listen (kinda creepy) 😂

I did start up a journal and plan on hanging around. Looking forward watching all these bad-ass grows again.

Hi Buds :)

P is a right grow legend. He helped me when I first joined too. Taught me about defol and how hot a Texan accent is… lol

What do you mean “were”?! My tent is still full of fun, farting and skull fuckery! Well I think it is lolling!

Oii and I got a joke for ya!

What do you call a rabbit with weed?!

BUDS BUDDYYYYYYYYYY!

Your journals are great. It's like reading a good book that keeps you interested all the way through with all the twists & turns & fun stuff you throw out there.

are your running all four 5 gal buckets in one 4x4 Buds ?
Yes 4 buckets. That's why I only did a 30 day Veg. Got to keep the size down.

another question - do you have a favorite bucket size for sips ?
Well I didn't see much of a difference yield wise between my DIY 12 gal. SIP & the 5 gal. store bought ones. They both were Vegged & Trained the same pretty much & they both gave me a little over a pound per plant. Since the 5 gal. is easier to work with for the same yield, I'll stay with using the 5 gal. If I grew outdoors, that would probably be a different story.

decent guitar. mostly a jazz guitar. it's the junior guitar to the gibson
Epiphone was originally made by Gibson. I use to have some that said Epiphone made by Gibson right on the headstock back in the 70's. They're no longer made in the US. First they went to Korea, then to Japan & now they're made at the Samik guitar factory in China.
I don't really consider it a Jazz guitar. Acoustic Jazz guitars have the F-Holes instead of the round hole in the body.
I think of it more as a Country / country rock guitar. Epiphone might make a Jazz guitar. I've never looked into it.

thanks for the reply. like you i like variety, and was seeking away to grow a few more plants in the space available.

12 gal sounds definitely outdoor.

his guitars are all american. one's a '48 and the other is a late 50's model. a fat boy and a skinny body.

his are both f-holes. the skinny body can wail more than a similar gibson if you want it to, but is better playing something more delicate. the fat boy is all tone. the fat boy was used in a country swing band in the late 40's and early fifties. they used to back hank sr.

edit : there's a youtube vid i'm looking for with the fat boy in the background in 49 or 50

I flower in 2 gallon buckets if you're really tight on space.

i run 5L hempys. which is just a bit more than 1 gal. it's tight in my 4x4 flower space rolling 5.
2 gal sips might do it if running 4 in a 4x4 space comfy is doable.

Thanks Buds :)

That made me feel really good :)

Have to build them yourself is all since it seems like only the 5 gallon inserts are available commercially.

Since I have a lot of pics & info to post in order to catch up on this journal I'm just going to copy & paste my Tags from my previous journal to make things faster. Besides, I hate typing. I'm that one finger typer.... lol.

Well most of you know me as the guy who likes to grow large plants. Yes, that is my favorite way to grow. But for this grow I just wanted to get a little variety of weed so I decided to what I consider a quick grow. 30 Days of Veg & Flip to Flower.
I am growing in the store bought GroBuckets in 5 gallon buckets. For those unfamiliar with the store bought ones, here are some pics. The 3rd pic are the actual bucket inserts I have.

(Pic was from a past grow) I will not be using So-Hum Soil this grow. Didn't really care for the organic grow style.

Here is how I mixed my soil for this grow. Yes, it's out of the ordinary, but I've always been one to test things out to see what happens. I used..... 2/3rds Fox Farms Ocean Forrest soil mixed with 1/3rd Coarse Perlite. Then added about 1.5 teaspoons of Triple Super Phosphate per 5 gallon container of soil. I also added the recommended amount of Dynomyco to the soil. I can't remember off hand what the amount was. But I did use what the bag instructions recommended. Unfortunately, I'm currently out of it & have thrown the bag away.

I added the Triple Super Phosphate because I always got yellow leaves in flower. I was using extra Nitrogen, but that didn't seem to completely eliminate the yellowing so thought I'd try this out & see what happens. So far... So Good.
I’m liking this idea of the extra P,I’m going through the yellowing too. I’m also a fan of the OF but I use a 50-50 mix with HF with the OF on the bottom so when the roots are bigger they find it. CL🍀

Let's do a little bit of an update here; because these plants.... Well, You'll see.
So here are these 4 gals right about a week ago. I thought they were done stretching then.

OK, a few days ago I took a couple of pics so I could see the difference in growth in the pics. Easier to tell just how much they've grown that way. They seem to have gotten bushier & a little taller in just a few days.

Here's where you see quite a big difference. The girls are out of control. Damned KS5000.... Just kidding of course. This thing is kickin some butt & taking names. I never thought they'd get this big when they were only 14" - 16" tall when I flipped to Flower. The Kush Mints had better stop growing as it's only 8" from touching the light.

Right now I'm just Feeding them with 5.5 gr. per gal. of Mega Crop with 3 ml. per gal. of Silica. They easily drink a gal. per day. The 2 biggest ones I could feed even more as there res is 3/4 empty by lights out (12 hrs.).
Either this weekend or next I'll get these girls tied to the stakes so they don't fall over when they fatten up.
Anyway, everything is going well for now. Cross my fingers it stays that way.

Highya BB,

Gorgeous looking ladies! They have a lot of biomass. Many pistils, as well. Love their color green! Well done! Happy Smokin'
