Buds Buddy Does DWC: Critical 2.0 For The 1st Time

Hey Buds. Read your whole journal (took me a few sessions). Tried not to spam your notifications with likes but had to react to the posts about your little buddy. Hope he's going well

I've been growing in coco and am considering DWC for my next round so it was really good following your experience with DWC for the first time. It does have me questioning whether I want to go there though. I was thinking it'd be less work than coco....

Anyway... following along from here. All your plants look really good. Looking forward to watching the autos start growing flowers

I liked Coco except the watering by hand. I do have a 3 - Pot 6.6 gal. Auto Pot System that I bought after my Coco Grow. Still New & Unused. Now this system would be great for Coco Grows as it has a 12 gallon Reservoir & it's all gravity feed with floats in the pot trays for water height. Not sure I'm going to try it. Considering selling it & just sticking with my FFOF soil grows.

My little buddy is doing really good. He gets all his stitches out this Thursday. He hates the Cone of course.

Kind of weird how these 2 Auto's are taking longer then when I grew them in soil. They were done in about 8 weeks last time. I think I'm close to 8 weeks now in DWC. However, the plants are bigger & healthier looking this time.

The Auto's look good so far. But just the way these Blueberries are growing makes me think they will be the big producers. I'll probably clone the best 1 & if the smoke is real good I'll keep a clone as a mother.

Well guys, i had to murder my last baby, as it was a male, so i went ahead and started 4 new ones, two are gorilla glue and two are unknown, but came from high dollar flower, but anyways heres some pics of the 4 new ones, they were planted on the 4th also added pics of the male that i had, was gonna be such a beautiful plant but sucks it was a male

When these 4 get about 6" tall cut a clone / small branch from each plant & stick each clone in a glass of water a couple inches deep. Stick those clones in a cabinet / closet or something under 12/12 lighting so you can find out if they are males or females early on. Any clone that is female plant in soil & grow it. Once you know which are males you can get them out & clone your females to get all the female plants you want.

Been debating on posting these pics of what my little buddy is going through. In the 1st pic you'll see how 1 eye went bad & shriveled up. He was blind in both eyes & they kept getting infected so I had to get them removed. I feel so bad for him.

I was reading your post because I am going to be starting my first after vacation. I was considering DWC, now I am thinking no. I hope your puppy is doing ok.

Join in. These still have a good 4 - 6 weeks to go minimum to finish the 2 auto's. The 5 other plants are all photo period.

These DWC plants sure as hell drink a lot. The bucket on one of them is just packed with roots. So much that I need a bigger bucket. The other isn't quite as full of roots but still pretty packed.
I upped the MC to 10 grams per 3 gallons of water with 6 ml. of Terpinator & 8 ml. of Hydro Guard.
I'd say I'm going through about 10 gallons a week between the 2 plants just topping off. pH hasn't really climbed a lot. Usually doesn't get higher then 6.2 over a 24 hour period. ppm's are up to 540.
Room Temps still staying 72-77 F with 50 - 65% RH. Water temps between 72 - 75 F. Seems like the plant I did a big defol on has outgrown the one I only trimmed a little off of. But the one I trimmed a little has a few orange pistils near the center area of the plant.

The Blueberry & OG Pie Breath in the 2 gallon pots are growing like hell too. I've topped these 2 girls twice so far & may top her once more when I up-pot to 5 gallon pots. I'm feeding 3 gr. MC per gallon at 6.4 pH on these 2 girls. They are both being fed 36 oz. every 3rd day.

The other 2 Blueberries (my pH test dummies) & the SFV Kush in the 1 gallon pots are being fed at 2 grams MC per gallon but will up that as leaves are kind of light green now. All 3 of these girls were topped once so far. They are being fed at 24 oz. every 3 days. They will be up-potted this week & topped again shortly thereafter.

I'll get some Fresh pics up after the up-pots. But things are going good so far.

Went to Home Depot to get some 2 gallon pots & they only had 2 left. 100 of each of all the other sizes. What's up with that ? Bought the last 2 so I'll up-pot my 2 Blueberry (Test Dummies) tonight with those 2. Guess I'll have to up pot the 2 that are already in 2 gallon pots to 5 gallon bags to get the 3rd 2 gallon pot I need. Have to wait til they dry out some though as they were fed last night.
I did a pretty good defol on the other DWC plant this a.m. She was just so dense that No Light or Air could get in there. Plan to get some pics tonight as I want to show this crazy root mass.
Both DWC plants are flowering pretty good now. Getting kind of smelly too. I've just been running my exhaust twice per day for 10 - 15 minutes so far but may have to increase that. Just afraid of sucking the AC out of the room.

Yes I have controllers on both the Intake & Exhaust Fans. I was considering leaving it on low & checking the room temps every hour for a day or two. I plan on doing stuff in the yard on Friday so I'll do it while working out there. Gives me a reason to go in & out of the shed.

Well guys its been about two and a half weeks since i started germinating my new babys, and i must say i think theyre looking quite good, but i do have a question and thats if you can tell if theyll be a sativa or indica in such early stages? But if so i think i got myself a pure sativa ill provide pics of em all so far but the last pic added will be the suspicious sativa lmao, maybe someone can tell me if im wrong or not

Hard to say for sure just yet but the bottom 2 look Indica from the fat leaves. Need to get them a little bigger 1st. Looks like you're watering a little heavy. Get those wet spots off the leaves if the lights are on or you'll get spots on your leaves & think it's a disease.

Got another update. Changed out the buckets Tuesday Night. 10 gr. MC, 6 ml. Terpinator & 8 ml. Hydro Guard per 3 gallons. ppm was 550 but dropped to 500 in 24 hours. The one I defoliated the other day isn't looking real happy yet. All those leaves that look kind of wilted is what was under all the large fan leaves. They weren't getting any light or air. Hopefully it'll straighten out but if not, Oh Well. Here's some pics of those girls.
