Update on this grow.

The big girl is looking like she is getting better. I have been watering and feeding normally and she has made a big improvement and the new growth is coming in alot more healthy looking. The small clone has been up potted and is doing great. The reveg clone is about to be re potted into a 5 gallon.

Update on the shared grow. The plants are getting ready to throw into flower and we also have 6 new seedlings, green crack, Nicole kush, pink kush, purple kush auto, blue amnesia and sour diesel.

BTW it was not my choice to let them grow o-natural, I hate when they look like Christmas trees but my buddy wanted to grow them this way so we settled on it.

It's been some time since I posted anything regarding my grows so I figured I would update how things are going. I haven't been too happy lately with this grow and at times I was even thinking of scrapping what I had and starting over. I have been having all kinds of problems with deficiencies which I now know was caused by my soil, improper watering that lead to the PH and EC being all out of wack.

The bigger clone started off looking like it was a magnesium deficiency along with N-tox from my soil being a bit too hot and after flushing with RO water she seemed to bounce back for about a week and then all of a sudden the newest growth started to show signs of chlorosis and the soil PH had drifted back up closer to 7.0 I was certain it was a zinc deficiency based on having this issue in the past and so I started trying to remedy the situation and was able to get the newest growth to start growing in darker but now I'm back to having the new leaves canoeing and the tips clawing. I know she took a beating with all the flushing but after this I was being careful to only water when my pot was light and I had also backed off the nutes a bit.

After my last flush I was comfortable with EC readings of 1.2 and 600 ppm. The runoff was consistently showing a ph of 6.5-6.8 It's been a few days and new growth is already starting to come in alot quicker and I forgot to mention that they are on day 8 of 12/12 and are already showing pistils on all the tops and between branches so I'm hoping I will still get a decent harvest afterall. I put them all into flower hoping I can salvage something and regardless, I want to turn everything into oil so I'm not too concerned about having big beautiful buds this time. Once they are finished I'm going to revamp my grow space and give everything a thorough cleaning and not add anything extra to my soils and throw away all the old stuff, I'm never going to reuse soil ever again! Because that is where the problem initially started I think, and even though I uppot all my plants to fresh soil they still had the old compromised soil attached to the rootball.

Sorry about the rant to anyone who took the time to read this, I'm trying to stay positive because I really enjoy growing plants. Sometimes we have to fuck up in order to learn from our mistakes.

Well the plants are all flowering and seem to be stabilizing. In the last two weeks they have stretched like crazy and new foliage and bud sites popping up everywhere! :slide:

We're still not out of the woods yet! They will need alot of TLC and proper care from now until harvest in order to get the best possible return from the harvest, and so far the tops are stacking very nicely!! :goodluck:

Unfortunately the "shared grow" I was doing with my so called friend will no longer be featured on here because I had a falling out with him and he won't talk to me now. The good thing is that I didn't invest anything into it except my time so I'm not really concerned, it was more of a favor than anything to get him set up to grow his own plants, he's the one who said he would split the harvest with me for helping him out. He also has absolutely no clue as to what he is doing and has shown almost zero interest in learning these things on his own, and doesn't take direction when I try to explain and tell him what he needs to do and instead he wants me to basically grow his damn plants for him in his damn house while he sits back and puts his feet up. The last time we spoke his plants were 2 weeks into flower and his 6 seedlings were all droopy and leaves were dry and crunchy because he wouldn't listen when I was trying to explain how to water seedlings or potted plants for that matter and he got pissed off at me because this was happening and I wouldn't come over to his house at the drop of a dime when I have my own personal life and things I needed to do. He said he was going to scrap them all and start over and I told him not to do that yet, but to just back off on the watering.

Anyway, I didn't really mean to go on a rant again but just in case anyone is following my journal entries and noticed the pictures of the plants and seedlings in the tents I posted earlier and was wondering what was happening with them....they are no longer by business and I will not post about them anymore. Cheers!:theband:

I have one new purple kush auto bean soaking right now. I plan on doing this girl in FFOF soil with added perlite and worm castings and for nutrients i will be using using the FF Trio line with additional calmag along with purpinator later on in flower.

She will be growing in a 5 gallon fabric smart pot and will only be fed using RO so the calmag is a must. Everything is brand new in terms of what I will be using and has been sterilized. The closet has also been cleaned thoroughly and we have made some extra room for the new addition. I started soaking this seed lastnight and already it's just showing signs of the shells splitting apart so I'm really hoping this is a sign of good things to come. These are the seeds I purchased from Crop King Seeds back in January and I have been really eager to finally start some.

Below are some recent pics of the - Blueberry clone, Killer kush 2nd gen reveg, and Phantom OG clone on their 13th day after the flip. I'm still optimistic about getting something from the harvest, they all seem to be growing and putting out tons of pistils everywhere so it's a good sign but I just hope they do not run into any worse deficiencies once the demand for particular nutrients starts to ramp up....fingers crossed! :yummy:

I did some defol and popped some branches to open her up a bit more and cleaned up her skirt. I am noticing that she is drinking alot more water. I fed her 2 days ago with about half a gallon and when i lifted the pot tonight it was damn near empty, and she is in a 5 gallon pot. All her new growth is finally starting to come in looking healthy and green:thumb:

It looks like the work I did trying to correct her deficiency and nute lockout has started to pay off. Im still optimistic I will get a decent harvest off this plant. The good thing is that even though the leaves are yellowed they haven't gotten worse or turned necrotic and died off and they have been this way for some time now so she must be recovering somewhat. Everything is pointing to an iron deficiency, I was thinking zinc at first but all my research is now leading me to think iron is the main culprit.

Ps...sorry for the purple.

Hey @013 Thanks for stopping by bud. I hope you are having better success with your grows than I am right now....what a pain in the butt I tell you.

Here we have the PK auto starting doin her thing and gradually getting bigger and stronger, she is 3 days old since breaking the surface and only about 6 days since soaking the seed in paper towel.

This one is going to be good.... I can feel it!!!:rollit:

Congrats on your new pk baby mate. I will be following her journey.
By the way. How did you make your hash oil? Im clueless about extracts. But I would love a dish full of that sticky stuff you've got.. :p

Hey @Squiggle Thanks for dropping by mate! Yes I'm chuffed! I can't wait for the others to be finished so I can focus all my attention to this one plant. I have been a big fan of purple and pink kush strains and decided a while back I would get the seeds and wait until spring to plant them.

To make the hash oil I just used 99% isopropyl alcohol. I took my semi broken-up bud and trim and put it in a glass jar and poured enough alcohol in to cover everything. I swirled it around carefully for about 60 seconds or so and then poured everything through filter paper into another glass jar and once that was all finished I poured the liquid into one of those glass Pyrex dishes and let it sit naturally to evaporate my my window occasionally blowing hot air on it with a heat gun to help speed things up. In about 2 days all the alcohol was evaporated and I scraped it all out with a razer and onto parchment paper and in the silicon containers for storage.

I still have about 4 grams of different oils I made over winter. I want to experiment and try and make my own e-liquid infused with the rest of the HBO I have.

Anyway thanks again for dropping by mate:cheesygrinsmiley:

Cheers!

Here's an update on the plants. The plants are 3 1/2 weeks into flower and the first actual buds are starting to pop up and getting some decent resin production. I'm actually really shocked that after all the issues I have had with these plants more specifically the bigger Blueberry clone. We finally have leaves that are showing signs of necrosis on the tips and edges, so far I have been lucky enough to slow this down greatly, and all the main branch tops seem to be doing great with proper color and also the amount of new vegetation being put out but I have a feeling It's going to start happening alot more often very soon.

Here is the Blueberry clone, the phantom OG clone, and the killer kush 2nd gen reveg.

And also we got the new PK auto.

I always forget to snap pics with the annoying blurple off, my bad lol. Here are some shots this morning after recovering from all the snapping and popping. The two clones that I flowered early are getting close so I might chop them on the weekend so I have more room as I will surely need it soon. My peppers are thriving as well and I was pretty shocked at how well they did on my first run.
happy plants!

Second pic, top fan leaf, largest blade on the right side, is that debris, pest larvae or an egg?

Anyway she looks stellar! Great snag on the SP150....
Hey @013 Thanks for dropping by, also appreciate the sharp eye you got there. Yes that was just a piece of debris thankfully hahah! I saw that too when I was reviewing pictures and went back and checked and noticed it was just a piece of some debris.

Yeah im excited about the new light and it will fit perfectly in my space.

happy plants!
Hey @bigdoosh696969 thanks for dropping by man. Yeah they are a bit happier but have also had alot of problems in the beginning. I'm happy I was able to salvage them and will still get a decent harvest this round.
