where i live, dealers spray their crop with ammonia right after they cut it down to give it some extra weight on the scale aswell as some extra chemical weed-like high.

dont even ask, its awful. part of why i started growing myself..

I doubt it's the dealers doing the spraying .. probably more like the growers. Who then hire the dealers to sell that shit Same shit over here tho. I've heard about rust, glass dust, all kinds of crap being added to add weight before it's sold to the coffee-shop. Good ones catch it .. but over here, none of the fucking owners smoke weed. My Exodus Cheese was too flavourful ... I almost pissed myself.

Where did these things occur? ie what area? US? if so, which state?

I can't imagine doing stuff like that to my product. All that work to make the dankiest dank and then to adulterate it like that!
Kinda makes my skin crawl. I know this is a friendly place, but a few unhappy smilies would be useful.

South Europe in my case, it happens a lot here. I don't think thats exclusive tho, every street john around the world does this for some extra cash. There are some people who are willing to even jeopardize someone's health to get some extra weight on the scale and therefore some extra cash in their pocket.

I've smoked good street herb too but you gotta search a lot for that. In my experience there are 2 types of street johns, the "i'm in need of some cash right now so i gotta give some of mine out" rarely comes by but when it does his herb is well cured-flushed-clean-dank-potent, then there is the "i wanna get as much money i can out of it even if that means screwing people over" guy, he will spray his crop, weight it when it's the most wet, feed you some weird story that its the best herb you will have while the extra high you get is from chemicals.

These people sell it right as they cut it down, they wont wait for it to be dried or cured, thats their loss. For them weight is money so if they gotta add weight and high to it they'll do whatever it takes.

Stay away from those people.

....the fucking Netherlands over here ... no, I am really being serious. It's potent, no worries .. but it tastes like crap, no love or care where given.

There are a few good shops, it's not all bad. But even in Amsterdam itself, you risk buying crap.

I can hardly imagine, unless they are breeders. For them it makes sense to move to the US .. they can sell seeds as souvenirs all over the world without much hassle, and wont have to hide massive operations.

It is not 'now' illegal, it never was legal to begin with. We have the insane situation where I can legally buy it, I then posses an illegal substance which could get taken off me by the police if I get pulled over for whatever reason.

I can legally smoke it on my own property, and if the police officer pulling me over is not a dick or I gave no reason to be a dick, I can legally own 5 gram.

So .. criminals run the scene. Making a lot of money fast by investing the money for the equipment, giving some asshat a share of the profit for taking all the risk of running the equipment, and get rich quick. The guys running the equipment .. well .. their interest is an as high as possible dry weight in as little time as possible, without getting busted.

Love Rosetta Stone, Dutty. I got a few "free" seeds of that strain last year. I am currently down to under a z of it left. It quickly became one of my favorites! Great smell appeal and a very nice high. May try growing some in HB at some future date. So many strains...so little time.

Think of it this way, You are separating one stem from another. You cut above and below where it branches from the larger stem. If you cut close below the branch and leave most of the main stem above the branch, you will end up with a hook.

This is exactly how we do it, start at the top and work down, occasionally we have two branches real close together in which case we split the main stem so we can still have a hook to hang on the hangers just as you illustrated. I hope that makes sense.

We clean our bowls 4x as often with purchased "medical grade" compared to smoking bud washed homegrown.
Done right, it's nothing but light ash.

I think that if it was that easy to extract glanheads from the bud people wouldn't freeze their product before they run it down the bubblebags. If that's the only concern she has about this technique she can rest assured that not a single head will be lost in the process.
