Bud Washing

I'm serious please award all those points I have accumulated to them. It's hands down so far the best knowledge I've learned here. Damn I wish I didn't finish working on the rooms so late I would have enjoyed this with my wife. First moment is always the best.

Graytails deserving as well in all reality I wouldn't have stumbled upon this if he hadn't pointed me towards high brix. I'm still shocked all the bad info online geez I'm just floored. Time to do 2 more hours of trimming then a 16 hr day tomorrow so Lil sleep. I'm SO glad I found this topic before my first harvest :) It makes such a huge difference that I really do not like the produce I can buy locally any more. I mean, I'll smoke it if I have to, but it's really not even in the same league.

I'm not real good at reading people's emotions.....but I'm going to take a stab at it and say that you seem happy with washed buds?

Washing buds=really good idea.

Happy and sad. Real mixed emotions man. This must be what it's like emotionally when your pregnant.
So happy that I'll now be doing this
So sad cause I didn't try it earlier or figure it out
So mad cause now I have to build more drying lines to hang branches instead of whole plant. But its worth it.

Curious any of the other entries wash there stuff at cup. I didn't last year but we will this year for sure. So funny last year when we competed through a dispensary and placed I thought my shit didn't stink (or stunk good) but after seeing product of people's on here like doc and the high brix gang and greytail,c527,buckshot,hiker etc etc let's me know I'm just average and evidentally lucky.

Thanks again guys I'm humbled by learning from people obviously as experienced if not more than myself. I love this site. Long day of trimming ahead
 
Oh doc and from what I gather you didn't enter through a dispensary did platinum led sponsor your entry how did that work? I'd rather not use a dispensary to enter this year if that's possible.

A person does not need a dispensary or sponsor....but good luck trying to get the paperwork and find out where to deliver your entry without one.

I entered under my name, but under Platinum's vendor contract. From what I could tell, this isn't at all like a pie-baking contest at a county fair.....big names with large entourages were the norm for the winners, with very few exceptions....

And many vendors won in several unrelated categories, like "best booth" and best hybrid, etc. As I went back through the winners the trend was unmistakeable.

So, you might want to use a dispensary who pays out big bucks for a large, loud and generous booth.....
 
Yeah that's what I figured. Last year the dispensary we had enter our Hawaiian Dutch was pretty prevalent. We no longer have our product there cause ownership changed so this year we are gonna use a different access point probably 221rx

Some well written type should document this process from snip to jar and make it into a sticky that gets posted wherever appropriate.
And then printed onto :420: cards with links and passed out to anybody who grows.

I've written it, documented it, explain and re-explained it about 3 dozen times.......

Just wash 'em.

I didn't ask.....but most people recoil at the idea of washing buds so I doubt it.

It appears I have at least one good idea I can write on my tombstone: "He washed his buds because he preferred clean produce."

As far as I'm concerned it's a no-brainer.....wash em.
