Buckshot's Perpetual Grow, LED, Pro-Mix, Evolving Feeding Routine

I stopped by to thank you for the reps and say I was glad you enjoyed the photo. The conversation here is incredible. Before I knew it I was 10 pages back. I should stop in here more often.

I wanted to add my story. ...
Wow. That turned out to be much more than a hello.

It's a BIG Hello! :ciao:

Very nice share. Sounds like you have the right attitude to handle adversity.

You're right about this country, and to some extent the planet, we need to make things better for those coming after us. Instead, we create the problems and leave them for others to resolve. :blalol:

My wife and I have talked a lot lately about leaving the US. It's still very likely, but sometimes I feel guilty about it. Like I'm abandoning my homeland when I should stay and try to make things better. On the other hand, I'd like to live on the beach and I can't afford that here. :hmmmm:

Take the beach Hiker, if you have the option. Think of it as being a planetary citizen. Anyone who could make that choice would be foolish not to. You may return, you may decide that beach life is a great way to end out your life on this planet. It's been over 30 years since I even had the opportunity to visit the beach. In a minute baby! :laughtwo:

I live 2 miles from the beach now, but if you get a nice beach-front lot somewhere in paradise, make sure there's another lot down the beach and I'll join ya...in 10 years, or 8

I gotta bring my wife though. That's kind of mandatory. :)

Only part of me feels guilty.
The primary group I identify with is, human. I'd have to think about it awhile to figure out what rank US citizen comes in at. I'm sure top 10, but husband and grower might score a little higher. :blalol:

Most of our plans allow for us to return without too much difficulty. We own homes here in the US now. The plans almost all have us keeping those as rentals while we are expats. Most of the plans also include us being debt free, so the timelines are based on when we think we will reach that goal. My wife's medical bills have pushed those timelines out a bit, but I think we might start 'living' abroad in 2016. Probably the biggest obstacle is we have 2 dogs that we're not willing to leave behind. Initially, we want to 'test drive' areas for 6-12 months before putting down any roots, ie living out of suitcases only for a couple years. Actually this could be a challenge for me as I'm a tinkerer DIY type of guy. :blalol:

OK

Nice to meet you SweetSue and thanks for telling me/us your story. Sounds like you landed finally in a place that is comfortable, very cool.

Hiker, make no mistake you have to go so you know where you want to be :cheesygrinsmiley:

Guess what I did? I made a fugly spoon! No shit its fugly! :cheesygrinsmiley: but I love it cause this is the first "Buckshot"

You made that?

Yes I did! Today I took my first glass class and that is what I made ... with lots of help from my instructor, Todd. I also made a few terrible marbles too, they are not even round! :cheesygrinsmiley:

How cool Buckshot. What an amazing hobby. It's beautiful.

I gotta say Brotha Buck that is a Beautiful pipe :circle-of-love:
better than any I made which is none:rofl:

Thanks CHH... it was harder than I expected but with practice, who knows? Fuck I could not even put a punty (a rod to hold the piece) on straight...even after like 4 tries  but I started to get the feel for it and that is what I was after.

I think that is so cool. Awesome looking glass you made Buckshot! :high-five:

I'd like to give it a go. There's a place in the Big City where you can do that - IDK if they'd care to help folks make a pipe or not. Maybe?

Did you try it? does it work? :cheesygrinsmiley:

I make my own water pipes out of old pop bottles - but this is in a completely different category. Better watch out Buckshot or you'll become an Artisan!! :cheesygrinsmiley:

As I se it......you would HAVE to be a tinkerer and a DIY type of guy living abroad. :cheesygrinsmiley::rofl:

If you got a wrist rocket, save those marbles for when a woodpecker starts hammering away at the telephone pole outside when you're trying to take a nap. :)

I made a power hitter out of a plastic squeeze mustard bottle once. I know it's not exactly artistic but it worked, up until the doob melted the top of the jar anyway :) I'm gonna post a pic of the ol' pretzel pinch hitter I made the other day soon. Some of you probably seen that before.

If you want to do it... do it. It costs very little to take a class and rent space on a tourch. Then you are free (really free, for a few minutes anyway) to make something, the cool thing is every time you leave you have something more than what you came with. I justified the expense by wanting to make something for my wife for our anniversary. I picked out a simple piece to make but my instructor had a preset course to get me going... I needed that too. Without even asking if I wanted to make a pipe he started making the blanks for it and before I knew it I was making a pipe!! :cheesygrinsmiley: It would work if I used it... I don't really smoke too much anymore so this will become part of my collection

Buckshot! Nice pipe! You should try a making Heart for the Mrs next!

Mother's day ya know! :Namaste:

I tried!! I even showed the first instructor and he said no problem... my instructor said "there is a set class". So I am going to get some torch time tomorrow, I hope!
