I am going to take a few minutes to discuss the nutrients I have been using.
First a disclaimer... This may not work for you, I am not suggesting you try this, since your water and medium could be different. If you are doing it "right" now don't even bother reading this.
OK
Started out with all kinds of products. Burnt the shit out of my plants, had lockouts and barely got to the end. I bought Dyna-gro foliage pro to foliar feed my fresh planted clones not to feed with. I got totally fed up with all the feeding bullshit. I was mixing up some nutrients for the clones when I noticed you could use the foliage pro for "grow" I had nothing to loose. So after reading "
•Contains All 16 Essential Minerals - Required for optimum plant growth and health.
•Reduce the Need to Transplant - Quick absorption by plant roots. No searching for nutrients.
•Urea Free Formulas - No harmful urea that can burn roots.
•Low in Soluble Salts - Plants take up the complete nutrient formula requiring little or no flushing."
I decided to try foliage pro for my grow formula years ago. Immediately my plants got "better" I was getting to the end without issues. At the end I was using all sorts of products. Experimenting really. I found a bloom product I have also liked for a long time but that is only used at the extreme end so I needed a "bloom" product that would take me to the extreme end without lockups. What I tried was using all my crazy shit in really... really low amounts. This worked with better success with some strains but as you know or will find out cannabis has wildly differing strains usually requiring special treatment and "getting to know the strain" what a pain in the ass.
I was fortunate that you folks helped me to win the Doggett & Simpson system. I did not want to mess with anything up to bud because I had it working fine... I did try step one and liked it and ran out so now instead of replacing it I make sure my medium has mycorrhiza incorporated in it. Back to bud... that should be a song. Anyhow I tried DS #3 Bud and have been using it for a long time it works great!! In fact I thought I would never run out, but I did. It is too bad those folks were not up front with their product and could convince the local stores to purchase their product because I would have bought a bag of #3 if it was there. I might request in the future that they get some but for now here is what I did. I went in to one of my favorite stores because of their knowledge and product assortment and asked "what are folks blooming on these days?" he showed me a very colorful beautiful bottle that cost a pantload. I thanked him and went to see if they had Dyna-gro bloom. There it was in HUGE jugs. So I figured there must be folks using this or they would not have an industrial supply on hand. I bought a small bottle as I am totally gun shy from toasting so many plants
but here we go you and I will see in the upcoming plants how it does. The Dyna-gro folks state above that "Plants take up the complete nutrient formula requiring little or no flushing" that is true at least for me using Foliage Pro in grow. I feed every time I water a capful per gallon... never had to flush, 0 lockouts. I am discontinuing Foliage Pro during bud even though I have read to keep it going and using a capful per gallon of just bloom. So far the plants are loving it, we'll see things can go to shit fast.
I also still use a capful or more of General Organics CaMg+ in every gallon all the way to the extreme end
So I guess I have evolved into a lazy salt feeder, don't hate on me
