Bubba Kush DWC on the Fly

Update:

Poor Girl is getting too FAT for her own good!!!! Had to add some Bamboo "spints" to keep her branches from possibly breaking-When she was in her early flowering stages and creating bud sites Heks brought up the point "I hope her branches dont get so heavy they snap from the weight" and my know it all ass thanks to one soil grow saiz "Dude that can't happen. The plant wouldn't grow fruit that would hurt itself" LOL!!!!!

Yeah well now I realize that most of the Cannabis out there worth growing in an expensive set up has been Bread through Genetics TO DO JUST THAT!!!

I aint complaining. Its a QUALITY PROBLEM. And a GREAT thing to be wrong about!
New Pics commin soon!

Quick Note:
To anyone who thinks that 18/6 is just as good as 24/0 should read this: Its the exact reason I run 24/0

"This is a direct quote from Ed Rosenthal whom most of you know is a marijuana growing guru:

Marijuana plants photosynthesize as long as they receive light as well as water, air, nutrients and suitable temperature. Photosynthesis is the process in which plants use the energy from light (primarily in the blue and red spectrum's) to combine carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air and water (H2O) to make sugar while releasing oxygen to the air.

Plants use sugars continuously to fuel metabolic processes (living) as well as for tissue building. The plant combines nitrogen (N) with the sugar to make amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. They are the substance of plant tissue. When the light is off, the plant's metabolic processes, respiration and growth, continue.

The plant can photosynthesize continuously so it produces the most energy and growth when the light is on, continuously. Continuous light does not stress the plant, which reacts somewhat mechanistically to it.

Plants under an 18-6 light-dark regimen are producing sugar only three quarters of the time. They are thus growing at only 75% of their potential. Leaving the light on continuously will result in bigger plants, faster, which leads to higher yields."

Heks is finally back! Went to pick him up at the airport and like the stoner I am went alllll the way to the wrong fucking airport which was way further away than the one he came in at...long story short I wasted 10 dollars worth of gas and Heks had to waste cash on a taxi but the homie made it home safe and just in time to witness the first day of FLUSH WHICH WE DECIDED TO START TODAY HURRAY!!! PHOTO UPDATE TODAY HURRAY! Got a friend to come over and bring his bad ass camera so I didn't have to use my crappy one again. The difference is amazing-after my second grow im definitely going to invest in a NICE digi camera!

Update-now that i've finally learned her true strain composition- pre 99 Bubba Kush CROSSED with Deep Chunk i've been spending time reading about the cross which has recieved different names from young Shepperd as Heks and I call it, OG Chunk and i've read it being called Kush Chunk as well.

Topped off her res today with some RO PH'd h20 today after water levels hit the 6 inch mark-PPM was aprox 700 after bringing her water level back up. After she drinks this down to about the 1 ft. mark I'll do a res change-The way she drinks that will be late afternoon tomorrow. PH is hovering just above 5.7
Hope everyone enjoys the grow pix!
Can't wait to chop her up and split her up with Heks :high-five:!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, she was cut down yesterday. one massive branch at a time

I was going to post sooner, but it's been a bit of a tough couple days for me (been tough readjusting)

we started bright and early around 11am and didn't finish until 8pm or so, to say she is massive is a bit of an understatement. will be posting pics soon, need to upload them and such, I didn't think there was as much nug as there really was, not complaining AT ALL, it just took for-ever to trim.

Glad to be back and will be starting another grow soon, also going to enter sandra in nug and plant of the month since the timing is spot on.

Hey Heks and PG, congrats on the harvest! I can't wait to see some pic's and final weight an smoke report! Great grow and great journal! Good luck on the next, any plans on strain/method?

thanks Pharmer, there'll be lots of harvest pictures, but no final weight for a few days, could dry to anything, but the nugs are all dense and there should be at least 4-6oz dry hanging (low estimate) we smoked some scissor hash and it is potent, the scent of the fresh trim was extra oily and almost narcotic, a very fresh cut grass/pine hints, thick mellowing scent that is almost sweet. fat calyxes that had a much higher leaf density than expected, which also hid a lot of nuggets we overlooked before caused this to take a few more hours than expected.

as far as strain/method, unless something unfortunate happens i'll be vegging and flowering the same strain again, same method, except with the addition of scrog and (fingers crossed) a c02 tank. I believe PG is going to follow the same lines with slight variation to compare and contrast on what is best suited for this strain.

can't see the top rows too well, basically 3 rows; a top and bottom section, filled. barely any room between nuggets.
