Bubba Kush DWC on the Fly

Thank you Pharmer, I couldn't decide for a while whether to do ebb and flow or aero, etc. but, getting only one clone was a perfect chance to try DWC which had my interest over everything else to begin with.

Explosive growth to say the least! DWC is a silver spoon ;)
As far as organics, if I can ever get outside again I'll definitely grow there too! It's just brining dirt inside and such is a burn in my locale. Someday... (organic hydro is just a bit too grimy for Mr. Clean)

good luck with your organic grow, link me your journal and I'll definitely follow it. Heh, I decided to choose this forum for that exact reason! So many helpful, intelligent, and just plain grand master growers lurking around dispensing info to the needy, truly saints among men.

This isnt the best picture, but this is the one girl I got flowering now, I got her in my 5X5 tent, the rest are re-veging in my veg closet. I got 3 good size girls and 4 clones that were taken off the one in the picture. The strain is Fourway, this picture is only from the first week of flowering so not much to see.

fourway is some good smoke, she looks happy and plump, with lots of top sites. Best of luck with her, keep me updated. ;)
When you say re-veg, are you rejuving plants?

forgot to add in the last update or two: started using sensizyme, her root ball is looking better than it's already pristine condition, also the small roots left in the water seem a lot smaller and more like bits instead of strings.

I've also been considering adding some humboldt nutrients 'gravity' for the last few weeks of flowering.

Heks, those plants are coming along beautifully!! DWC vs. Ebb. I was stuck on that very same question. I liked the idea of having a remote res, so I opted for the ebb. It's a tough choice, but all of them are good!! Aero seems a little complicated for a first-timer, such as myself. Either way, youre doing very well so far. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks Medic, I'll get a few updated pictures today, she's really starting to fatten up and stink, which makes me drool a little.

I've been thinking a lot lately about that res issue, since this girl drinks around a gallon per day now (refreshing the whole soup every 3-4 days) not sure when I'm going to DIY it, but I'll be setting up a recirculating DWC, one site to one res for a total of around 13 gallons for one plant is my goal. It may seem a bit overkill to have so much water for one plant, but she is big, I mean; I'm a long armed guy and there's no way I could hug this girls' canopy without smushing her colas together (I plan on sticking to one plant per 400watt or a 250), and lifting her lid to transfer her to an empty bucket for res change requires too much head room.

What I mean by re-veg is since my seeds were not fem., I needed to sex my ten plants. so once they were good sized I swiched to 12/12. After they show sex I cull the males (6) and put 3 females back in my veg room to grow some more. I took one girl, the biggest and left her in the flowering room to continue the bud cycle. The girls that went to the veg room need a little time, about a week or so, to revert back to vegitive growth. The strange thing is that one of the 3 that are in the veg room continued to flower under 24hrs light. Fourway has some ruderalis mixed in, and these seeds were made from a breeding grow I did 2 years ago crossing a Fourway male with a Fourway female. The strain is not stabel, so there was a lot of variety in the ten seeds I ordered. So I think that this one female, that is still flowering under 24/0, is an autoflowerer. It's pretty neat, I hope that made sense.
Peace,

Yo Pharmer thats pretty amazing that the one plant continued to flower in the Veg room. Got any pix? I am interested in seeing what her yield looks like.

I follow. It's a good method to get the boys out early, shame you got so many males, kinda cool that one is kinda autoflower, any plans to run her under a HPS for 18+?

Very nice looking bush!

I looked through and didn't see if you had posted it, how many days into flowering are you? Keep up the good work!

:reading420magazine:

Thank you for stopping by and the kind words ;)
I started 12/12 on december 30th, but she didn't 'without a doubt' show flowering until january 13th. I meant to get pictures today, but rechargeable batteries died, she's starting to get thick and frosty! Almost want to say it's the kushie kush, but that'll have to be figured out in a different grow :p

I'll post a pic if Heks doesn't mind, this is his thread and I'm not intending to take it off topic or take the focus off of his grow. But right now I have her under 24/0 CFLS. Shes not too big, but I do some LST with her, so she might give a decent yeild. But interesting nonetheless.

I don't mind at all, the topic is cannabis and my grow is still growing ;)

what wattage/kelvin bulbs are you using?

I was changing the reservoir today and noticed some slight browning on her roots, a bit worried it could be rot, anyone know if sensizym will help with that or do I need to refresh the reservoir with h202?

I've got a bunch of different size CFLS going. I really only use them for veging in combo with a 90w UFO LED. I also have two 1000w HPS's, but I ussually only use one for flowering.
I would add some H2o2 to clear up the roots. I hear this helps, but Ive never ran into that prob.
I had a question, are you using organic nutes?
I'm wondering because, I could be wrong, but I dont think the Sensizyme would be benificial with non organic nutes because they would kill the microbial life in the mix.
If I'm missing something her let me know, as I have not used this product and just read a quick blurb about it from a vender.
Thanks, and good luck with the possible root rot!

she going under the 1000w monster? :blunt:
There was some slight browning a few weeks or a month ago and h202 cleared it up in a few days, I don't currently use any other organic nutrients (AN bloom A & B, AN Kushi Kush) and have read differing opinions on whether or not to mix enzymes/organics with synthetics. I might go back and forth a few times between h202 and the 'zym' since her reservoir gets changed often now.

taking pictures with the light on is kinda lame, she is so green and vibrant without the golden glow.
