BT'z 2nd Grow: Super Lemon Haze & Golden Leaf

How wide you spread them will determine how much room they take up. Keep in mind that spreading them leaves a lot of dead space in the middle, so in a crowded tent, wider (beyond a certain point) isn't better.
I guess that has been my concern. Perhaps I ca motive some of the grow towards that center. Thanks ;)

That's why I supercrop. I can create space where I want it and bend the stems to fill in the new space.
That was my thoughts today as I was doing some correcting on them. Especially Sheila and and Gilda with more than four branches. My other thought for the last few days is to super crop as the begin to stretch and into flower to maintain everyone on basically the same height to keep anyone in particular from establishing dominance.

Growing this way does create special demands on techniques. I think I'm setting them up for good performance in moment. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I still have a lot to experience and learn.

Nice form, wish list type stuff there.. Wish I could get those starts, not always that lucky... green days
Green Days to you also MaddHacker. I feel I have great form to follow and lots of great luck so to speak. I do try and make plans by meditating on what my goals are before I start. Laying out a direction before action for me has always worked well on many of my endeavors. Thanks for such a nice compliment. I will continue to provide something that might also help others, even if it's from my mistakes. Trust me I make them.

Yesterday, I watered and spritzed my new clones. Then I left the dome off over night and many appear to have gotten a bit fried. It would have helped if I had checked in on them when i got home from driving, but nope I was tired and hungry and said screw it. Included was my newest early sexing clone for my Gorilla Grape/Grape Ape. o_O Fingers crossed hope they survive regardless of my actions.

It appears that I misunderstood the name for the seeds I was given at the beginning of this grow. I thought it was Gorilla Grape and instead it's supposed to be Grape Ape.

What is Grape Ape? Grape Ape, propagated by Apothecary Genetics and Barney’s Farm, is a mostly indica strain that crosses Mendocino Purps, Skunk, and Afghani. Named for its distinct grape-like smell, this indica is known for providing carefree relaxation that can help soothe pain, stress, and anxiety. Its dense, compact buds are wreathed in deep purple leaves which darken as this indica reaches full maturation following its 7 to 8 week flowering time.

Looking forward to see what it really produces. It is really looking healthy at this point though.

Day 46 - Watering everyday, each of the larger Hempy Baskets hold approximately 1 liter. I'm pouring about 3/4 liter each day with about 100ml of runoff. The runoff is clean and clear. I'm feeling the fresh feed and runoff each day is contributing to the very healthy growing that is being seen. Group picture for today -
Back row girls are showing great progress with turning their tips upward toward the light. Good prep for going into the flowering tent on Monday.

I like to show the early progress of my early clones that have been put in Hempy Cups. I'm debuting a new clone that I haven't really shown before. It had a lot of damage early on and is really looking very recovered. Part of the experiment of never say die, never say never.
This is Sheila Clone #2
Sheila Clone #1 -
and Stella Clone #1 -
Both are very healthy subjects. I feel they have most likely made initial contact with the reservoir. Each of these clones are getting about 150ml each day with about 25ml runoff.

One final note about Goldie. She had a bit of a struggle in the beginning and has some definite deformations in her growth and nodes. I going to wait a while longer and look for a path to take with my LST. In the moment she has one rather dominate branch that was topped. So it is producing two very nice colas growth paths. There is a slightly smaller branch off to the side that has self split into two paths also. A few other much smaller node growth branches, yet to show what they can do. A part of me is considering Just letting her be a nice bush and see how she performs yield wise. I might just consider her a great opportunity to explore fimming all over the place. I don't expect great things in the moment, however it would be in the interest of trial and error experimentation. Feed back on your personal fimming experience would be appreciated.

Moving Day - The Lemon Sisters SLH and Greta of the Golden Girls Gold Leaf moved into the Flower Tent and their first ever lights out for the next 12 hours.
First Up Sheila - She started off a little behind Stella but has definitely caught up and passed her up.
Stella Next - She has less branches to form into Colas, so making a comparison between her yield and Sheilas will be a great experiment.
Last but not least Greta - She had a major defol less that a week ago and you would know it. She has 4 basic branches, but two of them did a little self split. So another great experiment.

Do ya happen to have a group photo in the flower tent?

Not yet, it was a hurry job as I did it at lights out time this am. Woke early, then back down and slept in and had to quickly swap out. It's crowded in the moment. But I'm figuring Rey's days are numbered also before she comes down. The new girls will I'm sure quickly get the new idea as they have been experiencing 24hr light since breaking ground. Hopefully a picture after 10pm tonight.

Watering earlier for the veg tent. I started training on Goldie and GrapeApe. They are quite a mess of node growth because of their early struggles. It remains to be seen what they will look like in a week as I get them ready for the flower tent. I did take 5 fans off of GrapeApe, the widths are FAT!

Day 48 - As promised some pictures from inside the Flowering Tent. The 3 Rey Clones are gone, harvested and in a drying box. Replacing them on the right are the two Lemon Sisters the SLH, and a Gold Leaf Golden Girl Gilda. They officially went into their first 12 hr darkness at 10am this morning. Roughly 7 weeks since they broke ground and showed their first little grow.
So far these three have been a super cake walk. They started under a T5 blue bulb at 6500k and then graduated up to a fairly decent LED grow spectrum board.
They have been super easy to groom. Topping and LST has been really awesome and they each have delivered some quality clones.
Currently they are 33 inches below my Perfect Sun Mini's. I'm using two side by side and slightly tilted toward the center. Coverage is really awesome with this setup with awesome PAR readings above 600 even in the corners. I'm starting these ladies slightly further than the reommended 30" initial exposure level for the first 7 days. If stretch really takes of I might actually need to raise the lights. Enjoy!

Day 50 - Watering last night and checked in with the 2nd grow in the flowering tent. All looked very nice. Checked again this am to take a picture and there is a most definable growth going on. The stretch is on!!!

Checking in with the rest of the group over in the Veg Tent. Growth is filling in on both Goldie and Grape Ape.
The LST is in place, but the disorganization of the branches really make it difficult on both of these plants to effectively manifold like I did with the first three that are already in the flowering tent. I'm considering letting them just do their thing and LST as much as possible.
Finally, the SLH Clones I took a about three weeks back. They are looking very nice. I'm just letting them veg more until they fill out and can have some LST begun on them. In the moment I'm still considering keeping them and the other Clones in the 32oz cups and do a micro grow in the Veg Tent through flowering.

Day 51 - Defoliation day for Goldie and Grape Ape to prepare for moving into the Flowering Tent. Rey has been kind enough to show her Amber Colors and will be coming down in the next 2-3 days. This will make room for Goldie and Grape Ape and if they push green out like the Lemon Sisters and Glida did, they will be ready as soon as Rey vacates.

A little before picture of Goldie.
After the deed. I still need to make some choices about the number of branches that are showing. This girl could be a monster.
I didn't take a before picture of Grape Ape, but this is from yesterday.
And now, Six stalks will make a very lovely yield hopefully.
Happiness is a sharp pair of scissors.
