BT'z 2nd Grow: Super Lemon Haze & Golden Leaf

Looks great BT! Hard to find spots to tie some plants down without covering new growth :).
I know, the nodes are so tight on this entire grow. I can only think to attribute it to the T5 6500K Blue Bulbs and now the extremely bright Veg LED board I put in my Veg tent to the node spacing. I'm pretty sure this is going to pay off when they go into stretch.

This evening while texting with @FelipeBlu he reminded me by asking Gorilla Grapes name being added to the Journal title. I was a bit hohum about the idea. Then he mentioned that still didn't know it's sex. Ding! Oh yes, was going to have to do an early sexing clone. Ding Ding!

So this evening after getting in from being out and about, I cut the fifth node growth off the top. Soaked in Clonex Rooting Gel and slid into a Root Riot and added it into the other group of clones I cut earlier today. Hoping as soon as I see any roots I will put it into a shorter Hempy Cup and slide it right on into the Flowering tent. I need to go back and check on the drop seed date but I'm thinking it was 4 weeks ago this coming Thursday.

I did leave several viable nodes. There is actually one from the 2nd node, two each from the 3rd and 4th nodes. GG still needs a lot of growth to catch up to the others, but so far all of a sudden it's looking really strong in the new larger hempy basket.

I went back and checked my dates regarding Gorilla Grape. Just curious to put some numbers on the growth. I dropped the three GG's on the 10th of May in water and into a root riot cube the next day. They struggled, one never popped, another rotted, and the current one was placed in Hempy cup on the 21st of May. Even then it struggled for a while longer. That's really only about 3 weeks ago. I think I'll split the difference and call it 4weeks, cuz nothing happen until I gave it CPR. So Gorilla Grape is about 2weeks behind SLH and GL.

So what does everyone go on for start of the growing days count? seed drop, sprout shows & grows, moving into next grow media?

I’ve always considered actual evidence of germination as the start of a plant’s life. So it depends on whether you wait to see the seed crack before you plant it, or if you go ahead and plant the seed and then call it when ya see it, which will be 1 to 3 days later.

But considering the entire life of the plant, a few days either way at the start probably doesn’t matter, right?
:green_heart:

Excellent gentlemen. I figured and breaking the surface is a good reference point for me. On my Gorilla Grape I'm going to fudge a bit because it was so pitiful for so long before it actually showed a stem. It's really just a reference point for me at this point. With my SLH's they broke ground almost immediately with stems showing and all. That's why I consider them at the 6 week mark and am prepping to move them to flower at the beginning of the 7th week.

Day 43 - Defoliation Day for the SLH Lemon Sisters. Being as they are basically at 6 weeks and I'm planning to move them into the flower tent this time next week, it's time for a little grooming. Using a technique shared by @Bassman59, I defoliated most all fans that had a stem longer than 1-1.5 inches. They are looking rather naked. The intent is to expose and concentrate grow on the manifold branch tips and not waste energy on the fluff during stretch. @FelipeBlu and I agreed that another defoliation could be done about 21 days after the flip, per our read on Bassman59.
You might notice that I don't have any LST on the two inside branches. I'm actually hoping to get them to separate a bit from the lower branches they are on top of.
I also had the opportunity to take a couple additional clone cuttings from Stella and get them into the Clone Tote.
While mentioning of clones, here are a couple of happy girls getting settled in to their new homes.
A little update regarding the Golden Girls Gilda and Goldie and the Grape. All seem comfortable in their new digs also.

Is First Street brand Local to you B??? Am familiar with them... And they are LOCAL.... Green days...
Pardon my ignorance but I don’t recognize the First Street brand except from the Smart & Final grocery store. Is that what you are referring to?

Oh, I see the 1/2 gallon milk jug. Yes, they are very local for me. I live in San Diego and they are very much around in southern California. Quick and easy to get in and get the basics. I like to reuse things, especially plastic instead of throwing out. I so the same with other things like cottage cheese pints and quarts. They make great run off collectors.

Digging that quad BT! And with the number of clones you have coming in the pipeline you're gonna need space!
Space, the final frontier, never enough. I'm going to most likely run an entire Hempy Cup grow and flip early to keep the height small I hope. Then again, I might just cull the most beautiful and run with them. Will see what the survival rate is.

Day 45 - I skipped a watering and went almost 2 days and besides drinking more, everyone seems just fine. I took extra time this morning to trim and defoliate Gilda for her pre-flowering prep.
Given how well Stella and Sheila recovered from their trim a couple at the beginning of the week, I felt it was time to prep Gilda also. Here's pictures of Stella and Sheila -
Here's a picture of all three lined up to show they can fit in the 2foot space that will open up in the Flowering Tent.
Goldies a little on the slow side. I did a defoliation on her earlier that was mostly trying to prep her for some serious manifold training. Picture of her.
GrapeApe - Last night the guy that gave me seeds told me they were GrapeApe not Gorilla Grape. Ok, I can roll. Make more sense anyway. Regardless GrapeApe is looking very strong and will be ready for some defoliation soon.
Finally, two of the three clones I planted in Hempy earlier in the week. I think they might be closing in on the reservoir.
When they do, watch out!

2 quads and a hex! Nice geometry skills as well as the growing talent :).
Thanks ;) Just trying to do what I'm been reading and watching videos about.. It hasn't actually been all that difficult, and obviously I'm really proud of the out come. I'm really impatient to see what they do when they hit their stretch. The Lemon Sisters are already turning their tips up and I pulled them down a little bit more. Trying to keep them all on the same level or close enough. Today I pulled down and over to the side Sheilas top node branches that were semi covering lower branches. Six colas will be a interesting concept.

Interesting Gilda also naturally split two of her branches also so there might be the option of 6 on her also. :p

Once they get a bit taller you can top them and double your production in the same space!
That would be awesome! :p Do you think I will have room for five of them that way in the 2x2.5 tent I have for flowering? It's very tall. Splitting each of the branches I have now as they go up is possible for sure. I just don't feel there's that much lateral room.

This is going to be an interesting experience. o_O
