Brightlight's Strain Fest: Organics & LED

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Try the DE if you can. Cuts em right up, coming in, or coming out. They also hate cedar oil, which I spray around the soil sometimes, and they boggie outta there. On the flush - I've been looking to upgrade that part of my regimen, so I'll definitely give that Humboldt finisher a look, thanks bro!
Just went back for another look. Your stuff is looking soo tasty, I'm stoked for you! :peace::Namaste:

Thanks CareStaker for new tip on cedar oil....never heard of that for gnats before. The GnatNix is like the DE in that it's supposed to cut up the emerging gnats. Worked ok but surprised it didn't work better.

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Here are a few 7 wk. pictures and then some 8 week pictures. The buds started to get fatter during this 2 wk. period. I stopped all feeding at 51 days from 12/12. I reinoculated microbes from beginning to when I stopped nutrients. After that only weak carbs & water, now only water to finish.

I seldom take pictures with LED on, but here's a 7 wk. view inside tent. The light has enough green spectra that makes me see fairly normal colors when I look at plants with light on, but the camera sees the usual deep pink/magenta/purple.

White Master - 1st the greener plant that shows more of The White side followed by the purple plant that leans toward the SoCal (purple) Master Kush side.

Above were all at 7 wks. Below are all at 8 wks. Gave 2 White Masters & Belladonna good flush. 3 more this weekend. The flush will be done on 2 different days to keep tent rH lower. Should be ok but last run I got a little PM since the weather was a lot hotter in June.

Belladonna - lots of smaller thumb sized buds but nice thick trichome blanket.

The Belladonna & White Master buds look more than done but will wait awhile on trichomes. Chem's & Em-Dog a bit slower, but not much. What I've noticed in 2 grows with this light is that buds are very dense & hard with less than normal weight loss from wet to dry. Fine with me! Thanks for visiting!

Fantastic BL!

I have to say that white master purple pheno looks unbelievable. If you're pheno is anywhere near as Narcotic as the WiFi, you will be very happy. You've got some incredible genetics in your stable.

I've got some emdog so I'm waiting on pins and needles for that smoke report.

Happy Friday BL

Thanks Doc! White Master is my 1st OG Raskal strain...have been looking forward to his strains as I've heard good things. Besides the Em-Dog I also have Dedoverde Haze from the Dr. Greenthumb/Kief Sweat side of HSO. Planning to try one next grow. Maybe the Amnesia side is same/similar to that in your Moonshine Haze? Like what you had to report on Rare Dankness. I'll get back into regular seeds after more shoulder repair next year. For now been sticking with fems so I have less soil, pots, etc. to lift & move around. Did you end up going for the Christmas Promo at Attitude? I went ahead with the RP Strawberry Banana.

I'm not sure if you've seen me post this yet but here's a home remedy for gnats Brightlights:

One quart h2o (I use tap), One cap of Hydrogen Peroxide, & a small drop of liquid Dish detergent > put in a spray bottle > Shake well > Spray the leafs & medium generously once a day for 3 days > Gnats & Larva gone.
It's virtually free & I give you my personal guarantee on it.
What I've noticed in 2 grows with this light is that buds are very dense & hard with less than normal weight loss from wet to dry. Fine with me! Thanks for visiting!
That's a win win situation there.

How ya doin' BAR! Yes, thanks again for your gnat recipe. You did post it & I will try it. Maybe all indoor buds are dense & hard, IDK, I was comparing to outdoor buds.

Yes I did BL. For some reason I can't pass up free seeds lol. I ended up with HSO Blue Dream, HSO Purple Trainwreck and Bodhi Dream Beaver. I guess it smells like Beaver LOL...

I doubt the Amnesia haze is the same cut from HSO and RD. But, they are both on the west side of the country and up until very recently the grow community was very small. It's definitely possible. Wish I knew one of them, I'd just ask them.

Bodhi is a trippy dude to say the least. I'd love to meet that guy. I'm sure a casual conversation could last a couple days LOL. I also have his Elfinstone from an earlier purchase.

Is there any stand out traits with the emdog? How's the stink on her?

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Hi Tea Time,

To store seeds, just remember moisture, light, and heat are the enemy.

Dark, cold and dry is the key.

I use a quart mason jar. I put a silica pack in it (I have no idea if it makes a difference) for peace of mind.

I'm OCD so I wrap it in black gorilla tape.

Then the glass jar goes in to no less than 2 brown paper lunch bags lol. I put that in the bottom shelf of my fridge and I've had good luck for a couple years. My current grow was from seeds I stored there 18 months ago.Long term storage is more complicated and I've never done it.

Happy Friday TT!

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Wow incredible plants - Its amazing what a difference a week can make with these.

Spectacular photos Brighlight! :green_heart: :bravo:

Thank you Ms. Tea. I enjoy mid to late flowering every single time....watching them finish out!

Yeah right, I wish...

You grow some dankness BAR...I've seen it. So maybe this light helps, IDK?

Some nice new seeds dr. I know what you mean...crazy, like when I was a kid buying baseball & football cards. Hard to stop. The Em-Dog grew short & bushy w/ med. sized colas. Medium green color. The fragrance has been best of 4 strains throughout the grow. I'm poor at identifying scents but Em-Dog is fragrant, perfumy, sweet smelling. Not fruity or spicy. A pretty strong smelling plant.

Ive got a question for you - where do you store your seeds?

Ms. Tea. My seed storage is very nearly IDENTICAL to what dr. writes. As he says...dark, dry, cool are key.

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Yeah, storing in the fridge usually does the job, but I have to say I germinated 15-18 old seeds this season that were stored in garage, so it all depends :)

I love your updates so much, your plants have so much personality Bright :) sorry I missed that last one for a while, going over it now I'm just as impressed (like, jaw dropped open) as I ever am seeing your plants.

Thank you for sharing, I can't wait to try that White Master out..

 :ciao:

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

Busy I see. Was that you that had grown the Dela Haze? I just threw mine in flower. She was a mere 12" tall to find out what she flowers out like. That White Master I think it's called sure is looking tasty Keepem Green

re: Brightlight's Strain Fest - Organics & LED

I just caught up alittle on your grow. Cool you got the gnats taken care of. I always have afew on a pot or two. But I know that's probably from the worm and bat and bird crap I add along with the blood and bone meal I usually add. I think attracts them. I did get a infestation once abit back and I tried the go-gnats. Worked for sure. Strange product. It was almost like a bit of fiberglass in it. Now I know it wasn't but it was like real super fine longer crystals, I guess it carpeted the soil and remained on the top inch or two with whatever was suppose to work. A lot of products that wood work. And got to be something with a broader use of it besides just gnats.
I haven't done a lot of looking into the strain I started Lee Roy but I do need to. The little I did read from vendors sounds good. But then they can make a product like cardboard taste great. They sure know the words a pothead likes to read. I'm so bad I even bought afew books on strains, and been a reader of HighTimes since they started. I remember drooling over issue 1 and immediately buying it. Since then I read every one, unless I was detained somewhere for afew years. Mainly up North Cali, close to Crescent City Ca. Unjustly I'll add. Life...... Well I'm going to so alittle looking at that strain. It's a regular seed so I've just crossed my fingers. Keepem Green

Yeah..DH is a good one. I just vaped a bowl from the indoor DH. Smooth, sweet, mellow sativa. I like it. Glad I have a couple more seeds. Already know you'll grow a beauty.
