I think we've touched on the subject before, but I agree that some strains go better green at harvest, than with a fade. The thicker leaf ones seem to hold more N, and have certain Indica genes in them. The thinner leaf (not width, but thickness) plants seem to more often be hybrids with a good amount of sativa, and they seem to want water more often, with less N (like feral sativa), and a fade at the end. My leaf and feeding strategy for each is different. I'll defol the thinner leaf plants more, and often feed them lower levels, but deeper into the cycle.
I think Chitin is also an N fixer, so it may extend the 'green' too. Curious if you have found any similarities.
