Brandon420's Living Soil 2022 Second Run

I meant to ask you earlier did you once say that Kagen water kills PM or keeps it from occurring?
Afternoon Captain!

Kangen will kill PM on contact... but Kangen is water... not an oil... so it doesn't 'stay' on the plant for extended periods and prevent PM.

It only kills PM and mold spores on contact... but when spraying at appropriate times you can keep PM off through the whole grow.

Good Afternoon @Mycelium Farmer

I hope the weather has been kind to you today.

I have a question for you, that I think you can answer about your personal stash.

I image when you take your product to market, they want the buds clean and well-trimmed. So they look prettier.

Do you leave the sugar leaves on your stash to prevent the buds from touching each other?
Or, what are your thoughts on this good or bad?

Also, tell your lady I am interested in seeing her products when they become available.

Hey Tokin!
Nice sunny weather morning and early afternoon... some rain in this evening.. but that's okay, we need it considering our drought status.
Market wants nice perfect trimmed buds, but there is a local move/brand called 'Farm Cut Cannabis' that I am a huge fan of.
They brand and sell organic regenerative farmers product using minimal process trimming and break down of the plant... basically leaving a lot of sugar leaf material on, but cutting out water leaf. I believe they don't break the bud down as small either.
Back to your question, my stash.
Often my stash will be the same concept as farm cut... kinda where the name comes from, it's how all the farmers up here keep their stash... farm cut....a whole branch that I just pluck that water leaves off... sometimes i feel like breaking one down into a jar... I leave most sugar leaf on and keep the nugs big. It preserves terpene profile and is simply easier.

The more you trim off the faster it ages... the more you break the branch down the faster it ages. A branch untrimmed/untouched but properly cured will keep fresh easily 2-3 times as long as trimmed finished nugs.

Glad to hear the interest about the community... sounds like we need to set up an online store & start sponsership deal with @420 ;)

Here's the ash trays I posted earlier, but completely finished now.

Take whole cannabis plant material and dry thoroughly. If hand 'shuck' bud off of stem... if properly dried this helps break it down into more shake-like material. You can also simply just use your shake.
Next step, add to pot. I usually fill the pot almost to the top with dry material... no packing.
After you have the dry material in, fill her up with water.
If you have Kangen water access, you can use 11.5ph to help the material diffuse into the water more efficiently.
Medium heat, low boil 4-6 hours, lid on if dealing with an average size pot.
If using kangen... you can boil half the time.
Let cool and strain juice.
Keep cool(fridge) in sealed container if storing and not immediately using. Has a shelf life.
I usually dilute it 1:100. If using finished flower, the finished tea should have a good NPK rating for applying to plants anywhere from transitioning to flower through week 6.
@Azimuth ,
I should add... the ideal thing to do with cannabis waste would be to ferment it with water and leaf mould/compost Jadam style.
The boiling method is for instantly ready food for the bed, but it kills off a lot of beneficial microbes in the process.

In this situation, I have a lot of cannabis waste material to use and some plants that want food now... I'll save some barrel space by turning this into instant food and composting the waste... versus filling a few more barrels with jadam ferment material to sit until the next year.

I do that too! In fact I keep a separate Jadam ferment for each strain since each will have slightly different preferences for nute mix, and healthy, green leaves of a given strain have the exact ratios that strain prefers.

But, lately I've instead taken to making my crumbles with each. I take the leaves mostly and dry them out and then crumble them between my hands to get really small particles but not quite dust. They store practically forever if you keep them dry, and I use them to topdress the same strain plant.

With Jadam, you never really get all of the plant goodies to fall into solution so some gets wasted but, with my crumble, all of the plant material gets used. Azi's Crumble

Kind of like chop and drop but it has other advantages like allowing me to add a measured amount to my pots. Your scale is obviously different and the liquid Jadam version might work better since it allows you to spread your inputs over a wider area, an issue I don't have with just a few pots.

I love it! I had talked about using trim as top dressing early in the year, right before the landowner moved to Costa Rica. He was worried about the possible spreading of mite eggs from the trim... didn't really make sense to me then nor now. I'm going to implement your Azi's Crumble for the nursery next time!

Didn't realize worms were considered live stock.
Very interested.
Thank you very much.
Hope your having a great day my friend. :ciao:

Beautiful country Beautiful grow, I never get tired of your thread bro. Great frikn job 👏

Thanks for the information drop! Much appreciated brother.

:passitleft:
Happy to!
Good stuff MF!

A while back I read about a guy juicing his garden scraps to make a tea that he then fed his plants. Interesting concept. I was tempted to buy an old juicer and try it.
That's smart... I've filled a pickle barrel before and stuffed a weedeater in it and went to shred town.

Anyways, thank you . Appreciate the credit... I'm on a path to somewhere and despite the circumstances, I sure am happy to be here.

Thanks @CaptainLucky !!

What strain was it? Really cool looking leaves, I never seen any quite like them.
Is that purely genetics causing that? Looks amazing, I'd call it "Purple Tiger"
Goofiez... jokerz x Apples & bananas

Genetics, and cold fronts coming in. I love it... buds are great too. I want to be growing these.
