We are now on PHP 7, which should resolve much of the speed issues.

Can I please ask some of you test all working features, to make sure everything is working right, while we dial in and tweak the new software. :thanks:
 
@420 Any particular ones Rob? General forum use has been great for me the last few hours - posted a big update in my journal, been around a few rooms, everything loading fast. Only thing I’ve noticed was a couple of hours ago and scrolling quickly past images would ‘disappear’ the site overlay leaving the background image only on screen for a little while. Doesn’t seem to be happening now though. Is there anything specific you need tested? I’m signing off for a bit now but will check in in a few hours...

All working features, uploads, posts, search, etc.

So far, everything seems to be working fine and the server load has been cut in half.

So far, so good, but still a long ways to go.

Can you please remove the banner from your signature and then add it back again? :thanks:

Hey @Pennywise - high :ciao: I really like the way you have the 420 Banner in your sig. Do you know that there’s a way to have it there without the frame and area for the title and tags etc? If you right click on the image and open it in a new tab or window and then copy the whole URL > then go to edit your sig and instead of ‘gallery insert’ing through the camera icon, you insert using the little image icon (like mountains with moon in the sky - for me it’s to the left of the smilies button) > that will give you a field to paste the URL and it should end up just looking like this instead:

It took 1 minute 45 seconds to load that page and I'm on a desktop - current download pipe is 23Mbs. The site is downscaling the images to fit (each one is 3,024px × 4,032px) and there are 28 of them on the page. This was the grow journal of the month BTW!

There was an additional message from 420 that they still haven’t got the image handling exactly where they want it - still working on it today. 1min 45 is better than timing our after 5mins - but it’s still not where it should be - and that’s kinda what Rob said ... “not where we want it yet, but getting there” (or something like that). I haven’t tested on my desktop for a few days...

Haven’t noticed any issues with posting or inserting media etc. not heard any specific murmurings...

Yep @Pennywise - not there on phone. You must’ve done it on a different device before. Either that or the admins had a reason to remove the feature...
