Selemat pagi 420maggers!
DAY 20! Alright, Anita is looking good, She's working hard on Node 3. Woke up to find we are blessed with the sprouting of our second Melon Fizz seed, and pre-emptively named her Honey Ryder. She went straight into the perlite in a cut off body wash container that should be a @bluter approved size for starting a seed hempy stylie (3"x4").

Stay safe out there and keep blazin!

Bwanji 420mag tribe!
Day 21 is upon us. Last night Anita did a bit more stretching than leaf development. The nodes went from being stacked right on top of eachother to being a bit more spaced out. She is getting pretty purple on the stalk/stems up top, is this genetic, or do I need to make an adjustment? What do you think friends?

We're still waiting for Honey Ryder to emerge from the deep, hopefully tonight or tomorrow she will make an appearance. I wonder what treasures she'll bring us?

The leaves were wet, I spilled a little on them when fertigating, looked salty or something in the photo but was just droplets. I went back and looked and she's not nearly that purple in person, just a weird photo.

Thanks for checking!

Honey Ryder was always one of my favorites. This being my first Melon Fizz grow, and first journal, it seems a fitting tribute to name a plant after the first Bond Girl. And for some reason the perlite makes me think of that white bikini

Be careful with fertigation spills - those salty drops can result in leaf damage. Even water drops - when hit by intense light - can act like little magnifying glasses and burn the leaves.

Yeah, what an epic scene - was my youthful introduction to erotic.

Will do! Yeah I put her in the corner of the tent till she's dry, then she goes back under the light.

Encantada my 420mag Amigas!
Quick update. Everything is proceeding the same and looking pretty good. Honey Ryder is taking her time cuddled up in the perlite, but she is almost ready to come out and say hello. Anita is chugging along at a good pace. I'm excited to see if Honey will catch up to her quickly since her roots are so much closer to the res.

Stay safe out there and keep blazing!

I had a similar issue with a seed even with planting it in the perlite with the emerging root pointed up. It got a bit turned on itself and I had to reset it in the proper orientation.

That was my first perlite hempy seed so can't really draw any conclusions from a sample size of 1. Mine seems to have sorted itself out and is growing normally.

Ahoy Maties!
Another update from the S.S. Slow Start coming at ya. It's been a busy couple of days out here in the bamboo forest. This morning we noticed Anita has lots of roots reaching ALL THE WAY down into the res and trying to come out the drain hole. We adjusted her feeding abit and subbed calmag for the silica, and turned the light up to 75%.

Honey, true to her name is emerging from the perlite like a creature of the sea slithering ashore. She's just getting ph'd water atm, noticing I have to keep a closer eye on the res in this smaller container as it evaporates out within a day.

Stay classy 420mag.

Wah gwan mah 420mag rastas!

Since we last spoke I've turned up the light to 75% and lowered it to 12" above the canopy and cranked up the intake and outtake fans a bit to make sure Anita is getting plenty of fresh air to help her deal with all that light. I'ld like her to be 3x this size at this point, but she has well developed root system and seems to be speeding up her vegetative growth.

Honey Ryder (Should have named her Octopussy the way she came up out of the perlite) having decided which way is up, seems to be making a decent recovery. I'm a little bummed she started weird because I'm excited to see the growth difference starting in a container with 1/2 the depth.

Hope everyone has an irie weekend. Fiyah bun!
