Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

Never heard of that! I wonder how it compares to cheesecloth, which is what I strain through (doubled). And how it takes to being squished in a vice!
From what I understand it's for making things like almond milk, tinctures, etc. They are pretty reasonable priced sooooo, wrap cheesecloth around them to protect from squishy squishy? Ratings are good on them too. Kinda looks like something similar to the strainer bags with the MBM? :hmmmm:

Okay. While I look, any of you smart people out there know what this is?

Is it a gnat of some sort?

So, after 41 days Zkittles has finally started to flower. She is a beauty and has really taken to the topping and training.

She and ULH are square and bushy while the Berry Ryder is tall and lanky. Here they are in the tent:

ULH is stacking her buds nicely. She is super bushy - something I need to learn is the art of the defol. Perhaps she could use a little?

I‘m wondering if I could get away with putting the BR in my cabinet under the SMD for the rest of the grow. @Virgin Ground - what do you think? Here she is in the lower portion of cabinet, would take the shelf out and have at least 3’ more height:

It would certainly help the other two breathe a little easier. The ULH will fit in the cabinet as well.
Here they are without the BR:

On Weds we drained the rain barrel (again!) and jammed it into the metal cage it came in. Back in business now!

Hope all is well and thanks for looking. :peace:

Keep her close to the light. My plants didn't show stress or burn unless they actually touched the light. Your boards are fresher than mine and I'm sure mine aren't as powerful as they were 6 years ago. The diodes do degrade over time.
I think 6" from the canopy would be safe and play it out from there. Just watch for the normal signs of light stress. It's only 24 watts but I think the ppfd is 370 at 6". I would have to find the video to make sure though.

Thanks VG. Would you put the tall and lanky gal in there or the ULH? :thanks:

You only have one plant in the cabinet right? Two boards?
Can you hang the boards so they slant and come together at the top so they make a shape like this ^ over the plant? Don't know how wide your cabinet is.
I would leave the lanky one in there.

Happy Sunday all! :ciao: I managed to get both lights hung in the cabinet and the Berry Ryder moved in. I need to figure out the lux/ppfd (?) On that converter but it is confusing to me so maybe Shed will help me out with that?
PXL_20201108_191830549.jpg

It's not perfect but it may do. She is about 14" from the light at her highest node. Here is the lux reading:
PXL_20201108_191952798.jpg

Need to figure out what that means. :laughtwo:

That gives the ULH and Zkittles more room to breathe:

Here are the lux readings for them:
PXL_20201108_192012742.jpg

Zkittles lux.

PXL_20201108_192006793.jpg

ULH lux.

It means you're facing south. If you point north it shows 360. Right now, facing south, you are achieving 18000 lux, so shoot for what the RQS website lists.

  • Clones and seedlings: 5,000–7,000 lux
  • Vegetative growth: 15,000–50,000 lux
  • Flowering: 45,000–65,000 lux
And then you can go here, which is where you were I think, to completely confuse the snot out of anyone.
