Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

Hi all! I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. ☃️ Thought I would drop a few pic of the Tangie’matic and Purple Lemonade. First up is Tangie. She smells like poop and gasoline. :p

She’s got a week or two to go still. Next is Purple Lemonade.

She continues to get fatter and more foxtailed. She is gorgeous.

Her leaves are starting to fade. One more shot with a flash during lights off.

She has already slowed her drinking so I’m thinking I’ll take her down on Thursday. I’ll get the tent cleaned and ready for what’s next. Need to get the temperature situation ironed out in the basement too….
Thanks for watching and stay safe out there!:peace:

She smells like poop and gasoline
Why would something so beautiful smell like that?
let’s hope the flavor profile is a smidgen more appealing.
:passitleft: Here, I brought my own.

Hi all! The deed is done. Purple Lemonade came down today and she is Danky :p She’s about the same size as my first grow of her and I believe I ended up with 3-4 ounces dry. We shall see. A few pics:

She had Popeye muscle colas that are nice and solid. And now this:
PXL_20221212_162420022.PORTRAIT.jpg

I was planning to grow this seed next and when @Carcass announced he was going to grow his I was like :yahoo: let’s do this together! And then, well, you know…his grew upside down and the rest is history.
But, the show must go on so here we go! I think she may have had a little bit of membrane stuck on one of the leaves when she came up, hence the brown on the tip of that leaf.

Details:
Sex: feminized
Genotype: Sativa(60%)/Indica(40%)
Cross: Skunk
Indoor flowering period: 7-8 weeks
Outdoor harvest time: End of September
Indoor yield: 400-550 g/m2
Outdoor yield: 550 g/plant
Height: Medium
THC: 19%
CBD: Medium

Original Limonade Skunk seeds are available as feminized autoflowering or photoperiod. This version is photoperiod, meaning the plants need lighting adjustments to switch to flowering phase and more time to deliver final product. But the plants are usually bigger and produce bigger yields.

Genotype of this strain is 60 % sativa and 40 % indica
, so it is sativa dominant hybrid. Its primary ancestors are Afghani indica, Mexican sativa and Colombian sativa. Then, Skunk #1 was crossed one more time with Pakistani indica Citral, resulting in Lemon skunk and with some improvements was born Original Limonade Skunk.

This strain can be grown indoors or outdoors. The flowering period in this strain is completely overtaken by its indica strain. Indoors, you can expect the flowering period to end after 7 to 8 weeks. It produces from 400 and up to 550 grams per square meter. Outdoors, the plant is ready to be harvested by the end of September, and it produces around 550 grams (per plant). It reaches a medium height and is very symmetrical. Original Limonade Skunk does not like having its roots restricted or becoming dry, it’s slightly sensitive to over feeding and spider mites will choose this strain over almost any other.

The buds have a good but not extreme coating of resin. They can contains around 19 % of THC and a medium amount of CBD. The high and aroma is the Original Limonade Skunk’s strongpoint. The high is a balance between the speedy high of a sativa and the couch lock of an indica, making you relaxed. It offers true all-day smoke and of course the aroma that reminds of juicy over ripe lemons.

I think someone should have a talk with Victory Seed Co. about that mites statement…no? These were free seeds from them so I didn’t look up the details until recently. Yoikes.

Now, I’ve been waiting to receive a clone from a friend - Schuyler Skunk. SS is a very popular breed of weed around here and was featured in High Times magazine back in the day. Schuyler is where our farm was and the weed is legendary around there….although I’ve not found a lot of info about it online, I should try harder.:battingeyelashes: I finally picked it up on Friday and was surprised to see that it had spider mite damage….shit. My friend said it was old damage but….I’m not trusting that so she’s been getting watered with SNS 209, and I’ve also been spraying her with the SNS spider mite control. Hopefully it will take care of anything left. 🤞
PXL_20221219_204513068.jpg

She needs an up pot, which I will do tomorrow. Eventually she will have a tent to herself as will OLS. This will be the second indoor photoperiod grow for me, and the first clone. I need to have one of these across the finish line by May so I can do the Wookies grow with @Trala and @Carmen Ray so I need to formulate a plan for veg time…:cheesygrinsmiley: That’s it for now. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. :peace:

Congratulations on the pretty harvest! Purple and danky and 3-4 ounces sounds like a win to me. :thumb:

They obviously haven't seen some of your autos. ;)
a medium amount of CBD
WTF? How cheap were their tests that it didn't include CBD in the results? What the heck is "medium"?

Oof! Good thing you're growing indoors in the winter. Oh wait...

Damn that's nice and not nice at the same time. :(

I'd alternate the SNS spider mite spray with neem and iso and not let up for at least 21 days. Kill them before they can spread, if there are any of course!

Now that's a nice looking panfull o weed..:bravo:
Congrats on another great harvest, Boo!

I wish my OLS would've made it-
I was looking forward to doing a comparative grow with you..
Maybe we can get one in sometime next year..
I've got a few more seeds from the same seed fairy..

Congrats on the harvest Boo and all the best with nuking the mites if they are present. Looking forward to our grow in May, and pleased I can get one more under the belt before then :)
