Hi all, and happy Friday! :ciao: let's start this little update with roots! All three of these gals sprouted on the 18th of March and I took these pics yesterday at 14 days old.
First up is Purple Lemonade. She's got a great set of roots going on:

She is the same age but twice the size and roots of the others.

Next is Dosidos. She is the smallest of the three and has very close node spacing. Her roots are "ok".

She will hopefully get a little taller before she sets into flower.

Finally, we have Dark Devil. She's got pretty good roots going and she's not quite as short as Dosidos:

15 days and starting to show flowering signs. So, I did a rotten job of topping her and then I transplanted her. And so it begins (again.…..like the first one!)

She's in the tent with the Atreum Hydra keeping her company. She will have friends joining her soon. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Purple Lemonade really wants to be the star of this show! The other two are definitely supporting cast members. :)

Next time you use those clear cups, I would make the holes bigger. They need to be bigger than the surface tension of a drop of water to make sure it drains quickly.

Thanks for that. I was actually looking at the holes in them the other day and ai could barely find them..so I made more! :cheesygrinsmiley: I’ll make them bigger in the next ones! :high-five:
 
Crazy question but what do people use to make the holes in the bottom? I ended up using an Exacto knife but found it difficult to make a hole without cracking the whole bottom. :hmmmm:
 
I use a scissors and cut off the bottom edge on 4 opposite side, like this:

This was her sister green pheno but still tasted like a purple jolly rancher n the smell was like a fruit jet fuel amazing good look on ur purple lemonade I’ll def keep my eye on urs

Cool! I never thought of doing that but I'm not sure our cups are able to be cut with scissors. I'll try as I have to make up some for the incoming GSC seeds.

I’ve used a Bic lighter to melt the holes/slits with good success. It make take you a couple of tries to get it right but it really does make a nice hole/slit.
