Bluter's Happy Home For Hilarious Hempsters

she won't be winning awards for gorgeous. i have loads more trichomes on this run though. i'm attributing it to the BE.
won't be overly pretty though.

Hey i have limped a few across the finish line and they still smoked great. Can't expect them to look beautiful all the time in their end days. :thumb:

was hanging out chatting on the drunkernet with a friend last night .. and the hell .. ? wound up with a @Weed Seeds Express order for amnesia haze x blueberry auto .. :p

so we're gonna try roll some autos hempy style. keep watch, could be a potential nascar pile up.

maybe post up a real update tonight. got some cells. things are on top of done. might have a chop this wkend. both pops and i are real done with this run. i wanna get a dimmer in to my @NextLight and get mom's outdoor hydro up and running. hoping for a good summer of kickin this covid damn panic to the curb with some summer plants.

soooo close .. check out the red hair leaner in the center

i need yoyos. pops won't let me string them though. he insists on being able to move them in and out to feed. i could work it easier for him but he's real set. some things you just need to ooooohhhhmmmm in life :cheesygrinsmiley:

we been roping them up a bit and using the bucket trick. if i built thicker stalks it wouldn't be an issue.

everybody hit the final 2wk swell and bulked up way happy for the size of the plants. the powerplant built the best.

full

they are furthest back. surprise. well, i wanted sativas. sigh.

the gorilla glue are gonna push finish cause i mono-crop. they could only hang with powerplant flower time at the outside of their estimate anyway, so they're gonna be a bit long and the powerplant a touch short maybe.

i got both sativa and indica leaning gorilla glue

full

indica leaners are doing a touch better. the gg sativa phenos look more sativa to me than the powerplant, who are all sativa .. :p

the gg sativa leaners are closest to finished. the self attempting supercropper is one of them

full

oddly the trichomes were all still milk with a touch of clear when i took the pics. even on the gorilla glue. i been getting real nice trichome development with the BE. min 10 - 15% more.

development and bud size lower down is a bit better this clone run.

full

buds are crazy good size all through for such an ugly run. the trichomes are saucy all over too.

full

sooo yellow. sooo yummy.

these are the best looking awful plants i think i'll get to the finish. i gotta get some real pic skills. these guys are way more marginally better looking. like margarine. margarine is yellow too .. (need whistling emoji )

i moved all the smaller plants to the side with my timers. poor timers were getting a bit too smacked and gluey again. i cleaned them up with some 70% alc but it's pretty embedded and built up again annoyingly quick.

full

quick powerplant bud shot to finish.

full

we are more browned up on the pistils since the pic.
hurry up ladies lol :p

a bit more soon. i gotta go make tacos.

got to the jungle room for some work. however i decided to rebuild the folks barbecue, and wound up head to toe grease and carbon. so pops did the actual work on the plants. as far as the trade off he was super happy lol :p

they all swelled up to the point none can stand up on their own any more ...

full

sigh i've been here before. gorilla glue on the left powerplant in the middle, and i think a gorilla sativa pheno on the right.

i had a couple super crop themselves a bit too late this wk. this is what happens when we remove the others for feeding and take away the support.

i'm gonna stake out the bigger buckets and tie them off next time.

gorlilla glue front right, powerplant back left.

full

super happy with the plant development. we have no business being here lol
there's zero larf this run, and the plants are having issues supporting the bud weight.
my tallest plant is 22 inches. :)

the gorilla glue have exploded. on the last run my powerplant wouldn't finish. now it's the gorilla glue. they just keep building. way more white pistils left than the powerplant. power plant look classic sativa red hair this run for finish. i'm already drooly.

powerplant on the left. gorillas building to the right.

full

can't believe i thought this was gonna be a garbage run. pops says we are keeping the bud explosion
we are torturing these poor things to carry it with tiny tiny stalks. the trichomes are way better too. but no real amber. it's all milk, maybe even some clear still on the gorillas.

pops and i are both impatient. we want this run done. last time the trichs turned fast in a 3 day window. if that holds this run i could be looking at a wk. we're guessing two. 3ish with chop. we're definitely running 100 or so days flower though.

everything is freaking dense too. we mighta gained a bit more solid with the BE. but we'll see more in the hang and cure if it's real or water.

pile of powerplant

they are so close to done they look at me smarmy. and yet won't finish. probably good as the gorilla glue want to go long. we know they are close as most dropped feeding a touch. we pulled the MC back a half gram 3 days ago anticipating plateau.

current mix is
8L RO
2mL cal-mag
11g MC
2.5g BE
32% RH

we left the BE hot as it's done nothing but make us look like we have a clue. it does balance a touch better but only because cal-mag. i was gonna drop the cal-mag and but dad rapped my knuckles.

it's a hot finish but we've run that way hard all through. i didn't think i had enough in the fans to get us anywhere a few wks ago so whadda i know ?

i'm happy. maybe stunned at the present results. or just stunned in general. i'll take it.

full

i shot for more plant separation and smaller plants this run. hoping the exposure would aid in bud development. it might have worked, but i have to incorporate staking, or some other support system if we keep going this way.

pops thinks it's one of the better runs but we won't have an idea till jars. the quality will be there.

room smells great. hope i can bring it in decent.

Awesome write up with some great news! Looks like all that effort isn't wasted, I'm glad you got these turned around and are back to looking at a great harvest.

Can't get over how they bulked up!

late pic before lights out last night

full

jungle room might get a rename to the flop house. they just keep building. piles of trichomes. if anyone is contemplating adding in BE to their MC sched just do it.

the powerplant are on edge, and i can see where a heavier hand would blow them up on BE. we pulled our MC back a touch when i added it in though, and i'm sure it was key. we aren't exactly following the greenleaf recommended schedule.

full

nothing is interested in finishing but i know it has to be soon. we are watching day to day. the powerplant are closest but still no amber - a little on the sugar leaves - 30% clear and the rest all milk on the buds. in the past i would have called it judging on the look of them alone, and wound up with racing tobacco lol :p

there isn't enough fan leaf left in any condition for them to be doing anything significant, so they'll turn fast on a dime. we are watching close. when we hit the 2wk swell i knew it wouldn't be far off, the gorilla glue haven't quit though, and the 2wk swell has become the 3 - 4 wk swell.

full

there's still new green popping out everywhere on the GG. the all out sativa GG got it even harder. i been told they might actually not quit entirely under the right conditions, and to just watch the trichs. they are all milk and clear. you have to hunt for amber even on the sugars. they might not turn the whole 10% i look for.

probably pulling feed back just a touch. only holding out for the GG at the moment. none of them are feeding as hard, i'm still hitting a dry cycle every 24 hrs, but only just. all signs are pointing to finish. i really wanna do a sunday strip and chop if possible, or at least start the process.

Hey @bluter
Not sure why I never got around to your journal over the past month or 2 but I'm here now just in time for the final stretch :laughtwo:

I seen your signature and remember you were doing hempys, so I had to come have a look. I will try and get caught up and skim thru some updates over the weekend to see what has taken place. I did hempys on my first journaled indoor grow with success 5 years or so ago and I still don't see many people using this method. I still have my old buckets, I may need to revisit them some day. It was a great intro to soiless/hydro.

it's insanely easy. just ties you to the grow a bit too tight.
also recommended for budget indoor growers. it's one of the cheapest ways to get in to growing. a lot of dollar store stuff.

a lot of dollar store stuff.
Dollar store can be so handy for gardening supplies and small buckets, bamboo sticks, totes and such. I was just there the other day for a few things.

i haven't been in an actual hydro store for a few yrs. the guys i get my perlite from do have some hydro sideline, but they are mostly a bigger outdoor landscape and gardening company.

$30 bale of perlite is a multi grow supply. year and a half to a couple years.

Hey Bluter,

Apologies for the very quick thread jack but I wanted to get your input. I need to be away from the grow for an overnight trip. Is there anything I can do to avoid problems? I don’t plan on it but what if it turned into 2 nights away?

It would be easy enough to upcan into a larger hempy bucket with the hole drilled higher/lower or stay in same bucket whatever you think best. Obviously I would fertigate right before I leave and as soon as I return. Should I flood and leave it flooded while I’m gone? Any other tips or additives to my soup mix?

I’m running MC at 4 g per gallon but wanted input before I flip or upcan etc. Every few feeds I was adding 2.5 mil of silica by Stout MSA

What can you tell me about this taco leaf symptom? First is a Blue Dream second is Amnesia both are in hempy. Lights are raised up to 24 so don’t think it’s light burn but IDK. Thanks for looking at this!!

are you running a hempy ?

if so tape up the hole and feed about 1/4 more.

that looks like an overwater and or temp issue. there are pests that will cause it too, but i don't see other signs.
root issues or extreme humidity can cause it as well.
