Plants do fine at 24/0. Keep the lights on and keep them warm. With sprouts I'm always 24/0.

That is what I thought. Better warm so she will take off.
 
Absolutely. Nothing to rest from if it's too cold to build roots to begin with!
 
I can not find another place for the cabinet. It is hidden and safe.
Need to find a way to warm up that corner though.
And I until timer gets here and heating is solved, she is going to have to stay under 24 hr light
 
The only downside Royal Queen Seeds says to running your lights 24/0 in veg is higher electric bills.

Thank you, that is what I knew too.
At least until timer gets here, which will be a month tops.
Found something interesting in a box..
It is called a frost guard.. Give me a minute to see if I can use it.
 
I can use it. It doesn't give out light.

Warm babies :) Need to test first though, so I see on which number (1-6) I need to keep it.

I been vegging under 24/7 for longer than I can remember... Least even when I did run 18/8 I had the doors to the tent open to keep temps down... Ofcourse when in mother nature,,, I do as she dictates.......
Plants can be real forgiving to all light regiments while in veg...
Autos can be different I guess.. i believe any plant in flower need rest at 'night' ...
But temps are the reason I run 24/7 here in the office.... Cold ass concrete floors creep into all wet dirt......
 
It'll be a lot warmer then! And I recall FelipeBlu ran his autos 24/0 beginning to end to maximize the Daily Light Interval:
"That’s why I like Autos. I can hit them with 24 hours of light during flowering, which will result in a higher DLI without having to increase the size of my light. "

In veg it doesn't matter, like Norcali said. As long as you need the warmth you can run 24/0 without fear. Once you have a tent you can do more temp control and by the time you flip the weather will be getting warmer by the day!
 
Sometimes I worry if that 'bigger' shock of flipping 24/7 to 12/12 kicks a photo plant faster??????? My minds always wondered... Said wonder not wander... Least not yet.

Yea I wonder myself Shed... Now I believe a plant needs some sleep? But makes ya wonder how much time one really wastes on sleep period in autos... Inmy head,, I see a good regiment like 20/4 for true autos... But I was taught a plant grows at night. Now is that true? But I do believe a person flowering an auto on 12/12 is wasting alot of plant matter come harvest......
 
No reason to grow autos in 12/12 unless you only have one tent and you didn't time things well :).

Well, I set up the heating unit in the grow cabinet (metal and glass) until tent arrives, with a thermometer to see what temps I have with lights on.
Flipping is long time away :) and yes, hopefully weather is warmer in March :)

A plant, do need a night time later on, an auto, I would grow on 20/4 or 18/6 depending on strength of light.
That is what's good with an auto, you don't flip them.

Instead of having my coffee when I woke up, I went digging in the closets and found the frost guard thing... Hooked it up and now I'm drinking morning coffee :)
