BigBearNTX Perpetual Auto Grow

Saturday update:

The White Widow is harvested. Major washing had to happen with these buds due to the mites. I’m going to quick dry them in the tent and then finish them in the jar. I’m pretty sure this is going to be made into tincture later, don’t want to be smoking any left over bits of mites.

It’s not going to be much, maybe 14 grams total from this plant.

Hi Bear! Nice harvest results. It’s a super amount of medicine you’ve come out with :thumb:
You gonna ‘nuke’ the tent before you go, to kill off the mites? I have no idea what that involves, actually, but I’ve heard (read) people mention it so wondered if you had a plan...

:passitleft:

Better than nothing... :)

Very true. I’m lucky in that I have quite a stash built up, so I’m not worried about a runt. It’s kind of a good feeling. :)

Hi Ms. Amy! Yes, I was going to nuke the tent. I’m not 100% sure what that entails either. I may take the tent apart and power wash the fabric. I’m a little afraid of that though, I don’t want to damage the tent; but I also want to get as many mites and eggs that are lingering.

We shall see. I’ll be much more careful about washing after dealing with the outdoor garden, that’s where the mites cane from. I’ve had a horrible infestation on my tomatoes this year, and I’m sure I brought them inside on me.

Saturday update:

No plants to tend, so today is about post harvest.

I’m making a batch of watermelons flavored gummies from the last of the Amnesia Auto tincture. One recipe makes about 68 gummies in my gummy bear molds. I didn’t have enough of the powdered Knox gelatin, so I had to substitue with three sheets of sheet gelatin. It will work, I’m hoping I get the texture I’m after. My first batch of gummies was with a box of flavored jello and a box of powdered gelatin packets. I found the texture too firm for my taste, so second batch I reduced the additional gelatin. People found them too soft (I liked them). This batch I’m aiming for the middle sweet spot.

Going to make up some tincture with the White Widow this weekend. I’ll use that for future gummies.

And that’s about all I’ve got going. I’m reading and commenting as I’m able, but time has been a bit limited lately. But I’m around still. Got my eyes on the calendar. I plan to drop a couple of seeds on August 11th when I get back from vacation, and we’ll get this perpetual grow perpetuating again.

Curious on ratio of gelatin to ethanol and getting the to sit firm....whats your ratio?

Saturday update:

Making tincture out of my White Widow.

Decarb at 240F for 50 minutes.

Using 190 proof grain alcohol.

Three washes and all strained. Ready to reduce down.

And for Sunday made a batch of brownies.

That’s about it. I’m thinking about what to start in a couple of weeks. I’m thinking at least a blueberry photo and a couple of autos. By the time the autos are done it will be time to flip the photo.

Hey Bear :ciao:

Nice day off you had there, gummies and all :)

I absolutely love watermelon, it’s totally my favourite fruit! I don’t eat fruit anymore (trying a no fructose thing for the anti-inflammatory effect) and watermelon is one I miss the most... i might let myself indulge once or twice over next summer

When do you go off travelling, or has that happened already? I have my new journal going, just growing a single plant in my new indoor setup - too keep me off the streets in the off-season ;) (link in sig)

Good evening to y’all :rollit:

:Namaste:

Safe travels BigBear. :battingeyelashes:
