BigBearNTX Perpetual Auto Grow

I always believe in the practice of starting small to hone in on technique first, then go big. It's easier for me to make mistakes in a smaller capacity, easier to bounce back, and easier to finish when you're first learning.

So true. My first three plants last fall were a disaster. Lol

There you go. Now that I got through my first auto grow properly in small pots, I'm going 5 gallon with them next time. It took me 2 tries to learn auto's. For my photoperiods, again I go from cup, to 1 gallon, to 5 gallon, so it's good I nail the smaller pots cause I remember after several attempts.

I’m going to check the Amnesia Auto trichomes this weekend. I’m thinking of harvesting it at 100% cloudy, since it’s a sativa dominant strain. Which means it may be almost ready since it’s right at 10 weeks and looking frosty.

Wow....I'm sure I'll eventually go with some deep amber, but not sure I'll go that deep.

I know you use it for sleep.

This Amnesia is going to be for "happy-fun-time" meds, so not going to go amber with it. Just want 100% cloudy or as close as I can get.

The Northern Lights that is in the pipeline will go as amber as I can get it, because that is my go-to sleep med. I'm using the tincture that I made in Feb out of the Northern Lights second flower. It made about 60 ml, and I use about 1/3 to 1/2 ml per night.

Sounds great. I tincture most of mine for go-to-sleep meds. I just brewed up some Platinum OG from last years harvest and will be trying it tonight for dosing. I like to also go for a dosage of 1/2 ml.

Saturday update with pictures!

CKS Northern Lights Auto has has a big week for growth! I didn’t get the ruler out before I adjusted the LST, but she grew about six inches this week. She got her ties adjusted and a bit of defoliation.

BigBear’s Tub of Love (with apologies to @TheMadDabber).

Canuk Seeds Amnesia Auto got a bit of defoliation, and a flush. All she’s getting this week is cal-mag.

CKS Northern Lights Auto got a flush and feed with 5ml of veg nutes and 15ml of bloom.

The nursery bucket plus one. All of these are right at about two weeks, staggered by a couple of days. The Dutch Passion Auto Duck seedlings are on target to get transplanted into their outdoor buckets next week. The ruderalis will probably also go outside, I haven’t decided yet. If she doesn’t perk up and start growing soon, it may be culled.

When I did the germination test on the ruderalis seeds I bought on eBay, I had about a 90% germ rate. Unfortunately, that doesn’t equate to having the genetics for healthy plants. I had 5/10 break the surface, but two in this bucket are probably going to get culled. You have to zoom in and play Where’s Waldo to find the tiny stunted seedlings. Two in this bucket are obviously going to be keepers. They are growing better than the one who is in her own pot.

Looking good Bear!
I found both Waldo's!

I like those handled buckets with a wide brim you have there. Looks like they are real slick for your setup

Sharp eye! Lol. You can see why I’m probably going to snuff the runts out. I may give them another week, just to see if they take off, but I doubt they will. They have their next set of leaves ready, but they look small and stunted.

I love my buckets! I have fit four in my tent. I don’t think I could do four at the same stage of growth though. Well, maybe I could if I let them grow vertically more, but I have a height challenged tent, so I try to keep them low.

The buckets were a dollar store find. I may try and find some more for growing on the patio. Like, regular stuff, not weed. I’ve got my 5 gallon buckets ready for the Auto Duck. Outdoor pots dry out very fast in our summer heat, so having a built in reservoir may be a very good thing.

Nice pictures.....I feel better now...... (you get it)

Pics of the tents. My little 2x2 is overflowing. I moved the smaller seedlings into the small tent with the milder lights. Also less heat. The main tent has been about 88F (31c) this last week. I suspect it’s been because the tent was too full and blocking the intakes at the bottom. I’m hoping that taking the babies out of the small tent will help fix that, since I don’t have pots shoved against the intakes anymore.

Small home made tent. I made a hinge out of duct tape so it can be closed easily. I’m going to get a duct plate and attach some 4” hose so I can hide some of the light leaking out of the fan on top. I’m not concerned about light leaks affecting the plants, but more about not having a glow in the dark closet. Lol
