Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LED

Re: Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LE

So far so good! Some orange pistils are appearing already... Here's a family portrait!

The master kush however did not have an easy life. But finally there was a first pair of normal leaves!

Re: Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LE

so it's already day 43 of flowering, the buds are quite dense and heavy... this unknown strain is flowering very fast, indica style... The 4 young gals in veg look sativa to me... really long leaves. I heard that sativas plants will flower longer than indicas, we will see. I topped the head of the 4 youngs yesterday and the day before. But the master kush is still retarded...

As soon as I see some trichoms turn amber...:woohoo:

see ya guys!

Re: Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LE

Here's a copy/paste of an email I received from the LED lamp manufacturer after I received it in january. It may be interresting for those of you growing or thinking to grow with LED! The power wattage stated is the total wattage of the LED, not the real wattage example: 300w LED is between 175-190w in reality.

Dear friend,
I'm here to tell you some using indications for our lights, PLS pay attention to below information. I think that can help you.
Recommended light above plants for seeding and veg time:
135W~165W----------1~1.5(ft)
240W~450W----------1.5~2(ft)
600W~900W----------2.5~3(ft)
Recommended light above plants for flowering time:
135W~165W----------1.5~2(ft)
240W~450W----------2~3(ft)
600W~900W----------3~3.5(ft)
We suggest Each square meter use 300~450w(power draw 170~260w) led to cover.
Recommended Lighting Time:
Vegetative Stage: 14-18 hours on
Flowering Stage: 10-12 hours on
Don?t set up the lights too close with plants and feed too much, this way might cause the plants leaf burn.
If the plants leaf get brown the problem might from the light too close the plants or feed too much, Please hang up the light higher or feed less.

Attention for 120W or more: If you use this for Indoor Grow Green house,Pls make sure to keep the item at a distance of 80-100CM otherwise it will be too harmful to the plants.but for seeding ,Pls keep a distance of 30cm.

Easy Big boned,
Girls look great mate, your right with sativas taking longer to flower, they look like a hybrid though, not full sativa's so shouldn't be much in it. Flowing looks great, if I was you I'd hit them with some PK , no N . The stems are really purple meaning P hungry, dark green leaves meaning enough N there. Keep up the good work mate.

Hi BB! 6grams of awesome quality is always good, Congrats on the harvest.:thumb: With learning from what we do as you mentioned in an earlier post, your next harvest may provide you with more of those nice frosty buds. Looking forward to seeing the rest of them to lady up and bloom like frosty in the winter. From the pic you loaded its slightly difficult for me to tell definatively if that is a male, but I thought I saw a lil sac forming didn't see any female pistils tho. Others will chime in on it as well and I will take another look and see if I can see for sure. One question did you use the same soil that was used while they were seedlings for the entire grow after transplanting? If not, what did you use(oops thats 2questions!) Thanks for journaling also!!:high-five:

Here's on the first picture the final result of my first indoor weed! Not much (6G) but awesome!

and I wanted to be sure by asking you guys but it's a male right?

Second look bro, and I think ITS A BOY! No cigar for you lol. Now you only need another room to store/grow him away from the girls and read up on a lil breeding. You could also store the pollen from a matured male and use it on specific bud sites of your favorite lady to produce some seeds from her, if your not into cloning and prefer to mix em up a lil. Just a thought...

:peace:

Re: Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LE

Thanks for your comments guys! I think 3 of 4 of my plants are developping as males... I'm entering those 3 in flowering to confirm their sex ASAP. I'm gonna leave them a chance for a few days in case pistils appears. On the other side, the one that still have the potential to be a female is the nicest of the bunch. If it's the only girl, I'm gonna veg it a bit longer, maybe try some cloning, I'll see!

@HighBrix1212

I took the same soil all the way(Miracle-Gro 0.14, 0.14, 0.14) for the one I just harvested.
And the 5 others (4 unknown seeds and 1 master kush) I used ultimate seeding mix at the start after, I mixed 3/4 miracle-gro and 1/4 of seeding mix when I transplanted the first time. I transplanted 2 others plants a second time 2 days ago and I used only the miracle-gro soil that time.

Here's the plant that I think may still be a female:

And here's the stuff that I use, it is probably not top quality but it works well for me so far... And the choices are pretty limited where I live... I can't still believe that I got nice buds with a simple soil lke that and CFL's! (The LED wasn't used much for that grow)

Thanks for watching!

K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Smarty:laughtwo: Thats great, I personally havn't used MGrow soil but have known folks that have and they have received good results with the feed up to 6month bags. The simplest way that I have grown with soil was with Fox Farms Ocean Forest and OC+ a CRF(control released fertilizer that covers all of the macro and micro nutes) Just added water from there! A lil Cal/Mag too sometimes, depends on the strain. I was amazed with my cfl's and a dwc grow I did 4yrs ago, now I'm hooked on HPS bulbs. You'll see various methods and good to great to unbelievable results with them all from this community!:420: Looking forward to seeing how the LED works for you that will definitely give added penetration and coverage, which potentially means more yield! :peace:

Re: Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LE

so... 4 of 4 males! :loopy: It's now all up to the master kush, which is a declared female already but she's just getting back in shape. If everything goes well, she'll either be part of my summer grow or she'll be a mother plant for this summer... propably one of the smallest 3 month old plant in the world! 8 inches and at its 10th pair of leaves...

Re: Big Boned The Noob Indoor Practice Grow - Mystery Seeds - In Soil - CFL & 300W LE

Well at least she'l have all the room mate. Top and Lst the crap out of her, let her fill the new space left from the males.
