BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madness!

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

maybe some fem seeds off the female gdp's?
that would work to keep her genetics:thumb:

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

I have plenty of GDP reg beans, I was talking bout the trailor trash, and I just seen to get a majority of female plants even in my reg seed selection I have been hoping for a good male in the last 3-4 seed pop sessions but for whatever reason it's been all girls! Lol not a bad problem but damn I need some fresh reg male pollen to stick in storage...:high-five:

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

I wish I had the all female problem off reg seeds
hell the first regular seeds ive ever ordered didn't even pop
delta9 aiea seeds ive heard others complain of the same thing im surprised they still sell them

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

i always stick them in the fridge for a couple days at least and then start germination, some strains wont pop unless they think winter has happened, some breeders do this before releasing them, some ship em out, but my method is to collect the seeds dry them for a good week minimum i prefer a month then the fridge i like to do that a week at least too, again i prefer a month, let them reach room temp if the shell seems to be very strong and thick i roll up a tube of sandpaper and drop them in and shake a min or 2 to scratch the shell to allow water to penetrate easier i never soak them in water i think its to easy to drown them, i put them in a root plug or paper towel method i usually get 100 percent popage ! :thumb: then if the shell does not fall off i mist and remove it, some say not to but i have lost to many cuz the "helmet" didnt fall off and never saw it harm them, oh and i use superthrive in the water thats pretty much it, i never keep them in the freezer either :high-five:

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

Never really thought about the winter signal for seeds before, but it makes sense, in oz most of the native trees (or maybe all of them) won't germinate unless they have been in a fire. It's really quite beautiful 6 months after a fire, you've never seen so much green growing directly out of black stumps and mats of charcoal.

yeah i was having some trouble with seeds germinating a couple yrs back and got deep into some research and learned about all sorts of stuff there are even some seeds that have to pass thru the digestive tract of an animal to remove the outer protective layer by stomach acid aren't we glad that cannabis is not one of those!! can you imagine having to keep some strange bird or rodent on hand to ready a bean!! here we have forests that have trees conifers i believe that require fire also , we have massive fires every year on the news they announce the beginning of fire season, we lost a large group of "hot shots" this year very sad.

Wow. I do pretty much 100% the same thing except the superthrive, and scratch. I've made my own seeds, and get very close to 100% also. I even remove helmets! Good to see someone pulling these ideas together.

Well hello yeah I put this method together little bit at a time over the years,I have even dedicated a small 2 or 3 cu ft mini fridge with a small freezer to my grow/seedbank I store seed, pollen, teas, sprays etc in there works great and I don't fear my beans losing umph over time at least nowhere near as fast, before this it was an ice chest kept dry just to prevent wild & extreme fluctuations in humidity and temps both word great for light proofing, but for anybody serious about breeding I highly recommend procuring a mini fridge for storage:thumb:

Oh but I do!! I got the exact same thing. I had it already from a few years before. My old roommate liked to snake my beer. About six months ago I started making seeds, and saving pollen. I got it outta my storeroom, and use it now for longterm storage. My next project is going to be making female pollen. :)

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

Drive by. I was reading what you said about your method on germination. I also like to use alittle sandpaper if a lot of seeds are having problems cracking. Some seeds have too thick a shell for their our good. And what I found it the seed has trouble a lot of times you end up with alittle something still holding the cotyledons together. Looks like a little piece of snot or something. That can really kill afew seeds off. I have to take the point of my pocket knife and pry it open carefully. I just had to do that on a Greenhouse Seed's Train Wreck strain. It's surviving it seems. Another thing is you can use a weak peroxide solution which will help if their is anything wrong like Powdery Mildew and afew other bad things that might help with damping off.. Well Happy Thanks Giving and Keepem Green

That's awesome then you know how useful it is to have a mini on hand,it's great, I have a thread where I reach how to make colloidal silver to create fem poopin it's in my bottom link in my sig it's a blog post with all the links to my stuff, you east the diy CS for fem seed thread,I just made and stored some Mendo purps pollen well a month or so ago,and I have a few Autofem pollen specimens stored , I have a technique for collecting the pollen I spray till I see sacks starting, then I bend the plant over so it's like supercropping the main stem very low to the soil or whatever, and lay out a cookie sheet with waxed paper so the pollen & flowers fall on the flat surface I will tap it with a pencil or something to make the pollen fall when I'm done most all the flowers and pollen are on the waxed paper not all over the plant and medium:thumb:

Thanks wood I will remember that,I have a bottle of the 35% h2o2 I can dilute to whatever strength I like,I don't hesitate to remove my little soldier s helmet when needed no sense in losing a baby if you don't have to, well I hope you had a great thanks giving we had such a great feast I made my famous pecan pies with all butter crust so good, spiffys made some cranberry sauce that was incredible! My moms bird was fall off the bone and tender like butter great grub after a few bong rips!:thumb: I'm so full just playing fat dog now!

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

I wish I could post all the pics of the spread yesterday, but can't post off topic photos, the pineapple skunk is looking better already hell she may just go into flower at this rate ,yellowing is gone and she's even started growing again, after not quite 48 hours she seems to like the scientific soil , the og kush & Sourd2 diesel#2 are getting ever closer to chop chop! Quite a few of the clones are showing roots, most importantly the blueberry headband, bubba og , gsc 1&2, I think I need to change the cloner water,a few we're getting soft are rotting and not going to root,I chucked them, the Scrog looks good and should be done by xmas all are responding well to the doggett Simpson food and either growing fast or packing on weight , as of now I'm not really doing hi brix just as organic as possible ,I'm simply out of the nesessary drenches and foliar sprays to do hi brix, so it's highly mineralized Coco mild nutrients and for foliar it's just PGR and seaweed and sns if needed ,I have a mixture of Alaska seaweed extract,PGR, dextrose, and a little calcium carbonate, they seen to love it, I have some bloomit left but don't really see a point to use it if I can't keep up with the rest of the program , rest of winter I will collect up the high brix goodies for spring time the soil I have set aside will be cooking for 6 months at least in April, it's covered in mycellium (spelling) lovely white threads all across the top, I just add very weak tea periodically, it's gonna be some amazing soil the smell is wonderfully rich better than the fanciest bag soil I've ever encountered ,
So for now I'm just playing with the prize goodies, :high-five:

Yeah sounds cool I'll check it out. I've been reading a lot about it already, and bought some CS spray @ 50ppm off amazon, and made some female pollen outta some bagseed. This was before I got my Pink Salad auto strain. I was just goofing around with grow ideas back then, but it worked. This time I was thinking of trying STS. I like the idea of spraying only a few times to get results, and have found a few places to get the silver nitrate, and sodium thiosulfate. I still have a lot of CS spray tho, and may even try it on this grow.

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

im gonna try and pick up some coloidal silver is that how you spell it?
from the health food store one day and give her a go
for some fem seeds especially if this latest gdp crossing my fingers is a she

Re: BID 6.0 Featuring: TopLED - Coco High Brix - JDL - Highly Mineralized Myko Madnes

i just like the cheaper less chemical nature of home made cs, water, silver and electricity simple and less toxicity involved

That's cool. I don't think it's anything toxic tho cuz it's sold as a sore throat spray. I even sprayed some down my throat. haha! That one oz bottle was 8 bucks, and I got a eight oz bottle for 20 bucks later cuz the one oz went fast. The eight oz bottle was 240 ppm tho, so I mixed it down to 60 ppm by adding 24 oz's of distilled water. That's why I got so much left, but it's kinda old now, so I was thinking of getting some fresh, or switching to STS. The silver nitrate is kinda expensive tho (40 bucks for 25 grams), so I'm on the fence. It would mix up STS for a long time tho, cuz you only use a gram at a time to make a liter.

That blog you wrote about it is good info, and CS really does work. :)

oh yeah i have had success with as low as 10ppm home made i would not produce an article like that one unless i had tested the theory and method, reg cs is quite safe to consume in low quantities, what i am concerned about is the silver nitrate and sts in general the thiosulfide and nitrate are defon not safe to consume and the treated buds have to be destroyed, where as with basic silver i feel safe using the buds for edibles and such the silver has many weeks to dissipate in the plant and your working with such low concentrations, so for me the cs is the best way to go, i dont mind the longer time it takes,it works and i have control,i know exactly whats in my solution, if it aint broke lol
im glad you enjoyed the article feel free to add to it your experiences

Actually people who have been sold on silver based snake oil generally have it turn out pretty badly. They turn silver coloured. I'm sure it's not the case for turning plants hermie, but ya got to be careful around the dust.

It's why I thought you were using silver dust to make the colloidal BIG
