Plus, they look pretty dang good if I do say so myself.
I’ll say so too!

Such kind words - Thank You!LOVE it, your outdoor grows have been such an inspiration since I first joined here.
Just so I can note it in my spreadsheet, is the GB2 48" tall including the wheelbarrow?
All light cycles are controlled by the big ball of fire in the sky!You may have covered this before, but I don’t recall how you are controlling the light cycles?
But so cool if I could...That would be unsettling...!!
Thanks Age. There were pretty tasty.GUMMIES!!!!!!! Those look great man.
I'm sure there's more than one!Isn’t there already at least one other personage in the South Bay that considers himself a supreme being? lol
I'm calling 7/16 as first day of flower so it's now in day 7 of flower.
Dr. S is doing well and has been in flower mode since 7/11.
I don't really see much in the way of actual flowering yet
Thanks Felipe, that's very interesting analysis. My only issue with that logic is that the breeders have never been close to my actual flowering times for outdoors. Example: Last year both my White Widow and Northern Lights flowered for 12 weeks before harvesting. The breeder estimated 8-9 weeks for WW and 7-8 weeks for NL.If the breeder (Bomb Seeds - a current sponsor BTW) says in the description that this strain takes about 8 weeks of flowering and will mature outdoors by September-October, you can count backwards 8 weeks from October 16 to August 16, and see that there are 9 hours and 35 minutes of darkness on August 16 in The Netherlands.
Well, at about 37N, where we live, we get 9:35 of darkness around mid-July. So there you have it - we’re in bloom! (well, stretch so far)
I've been wanting to pull the trigger on growing Malawi for some time now, but that harvest window always scares me. So far my latest harvest has been October 16-20th (Sour Diesel). I figure my weather should probably hold up until mid November, but December would be pushing my luck.Long flowering strains say late October and short ones say September. And then there's Malawi which says "Christmas."
The flowering trigger is so strain-dependent. And apparently also depends on where the seed was bred.
You can use this chart, and information from the breeder, to estimate how many hours of darkness will trigger flowering, and about when that should be.
Another point is that I wonder if any breeders are breeding their plants outside, whether at 50N or 50S. I would imagine that their entire process is done indoors, and they just take the number of days of flower inside and add some random weeks for pistils to appear outside. Long flowering strains say late October and short ones say September. And then there's Malawi which says "Christmas."
I was going to say something similar to Shed's response, only as a question.
Do you know what seeds were grown where and how?
