BCNL Producer & DIY Cabs 3 Strains

The plants are continuing to thrive and the switch needs to be thrown. I'll switch the nutes and bulbs later today. The clones will continue to run for learning and backup. Foliar fed the Euforias in flower in the diy cab with Nitrozyme.

WnF,

It's all looking great! :goodjob:

A couple of questions, which are NOT in any way critical, but simply because I'm not ver familliar with BCNL Producer:

1) Are you able to move the locations of the plants in the Producer?
2) What's the plant's approximate height limitation in the Producer?
3) Is there some other reason for going 12/12 now other than space?

The reason I ask is that some of those plants look pretty small, but even if they triple in size, it looks like there's plenty of vertical room and horizontal room, if you could space the larger plants futher apart. If this was possible, then you could veg longer and improve yield.

Thanks & :goodluck:

Thanks Krip... all good questions there. Yes, they are able to be moved from site to site. I would have done that for the 4 Euforias in the middle but I didn't want to nuke them with too much light while weakened without having normal roots. They took a week just to start standing right. The light is most indirect in the middle.

Your point about spacing needs in the future will be addressed just as you said. The weaker will receive more light and the wider will receive more room. Both serendipitous options from running less than capacity. I do move the airstones to better accommodate the weaker ones and encourage root extension.
I think the plant sizes are a bit misleading as there is no real point of reference. I should have been placing my knowledge right next to them in the pictures so you could see how large they truly are. :trance:

The height from the deck to the glass ceiling is a little over 33-1/2". That's why I would have preferred to nix this crop and wait for the clones so I could put them directly to flower. From now on I will be committed to 1 week max of veg whenever possible.
No, other than height there is no other reason for flowering now.

This is one of the best water system I saw. You think you can get some pictures from your set up of watering from close. I have one set up right now that I make for watering every little basket with clone. Your set is clean and easy to look at the roots. Great job.

Not sure if you're asking for pics of the aerocloner or the producer. Let me know and I'll be glad to get you what you need... In exchange for some of those insanely beautiful recipes of yours that is!!! Just kidding... you are the High Priest Chef of Ganja Sir. You plate pot like an artisan. Couldn't help notice the Red Stripe... I spend time in the Turks and a good friend cooks for me while there. I thought he was great until I saw your stuff! I referred him to your threads for ideas. Thank you for all that inspiration!

Switched out the bulbs and nutes for week 1 of flowering. Things were looking pretty robust today. I hope not to regret waiting for the stragglers as the healthiest of the lot are growing quickly.

The Euforia are looking well today. The light is now at it's highest in the diy cab.

The clones are looking well also. All have small (up to 1/2") roots or nubs. This is a sore spot for me as the majority were taken from the very robust White Widow mom. We'll get'em next time.

WnF...looking great, Bro!

Thanks for the specifics on the Producer. That one-week veg definately seems short, but certainly doable. I'm sure that the Buffalo Springfield and The Band tunes being pumped in will help any stragglers catch up and I'm definately anxious to see the BCNL in action! :)

So, now that you've flipped the switch, what are you going to do with all those WW clones? And, how are you going to deal with the two Euphoria's that are hitting the top of the DIY cab?

Can you tell I'm hoping to get some good ideas on space management from you? :tokin:

Cool I need tester LOL because I am stone 24 hour a day 7 day a week and 365 day years I cannot test my own suff. One friend try my food, I tough it was a strong smoker and he past out in my backyard. I use people with medical paper to test my stuff because some dispancery sale my cooking ganja oil and a chocolate tartinade. When my wife come home I will ask her to write for the picture of your water set up. To stone and my english suck like siscokid say so well. Time to smokes. :peacetwo: I:MoreNutes: any one who have their Medicales paper for free :peacetwo:

Thanks very much Mr. Krip! It seems the majority of users I've read from veg for a very short period if at all. The consensus seems to be that as long as the roots are in the drink, you can go to flower w/o a hitch. As for the Buffalo Springfield and The Band...how the hell did you get in my iPod and why didn't you go past the "B's"?!!

Ahhh the clones. Heartbreaking stuff there. I wish I knew someone in need locally because they really are in nice shape, from good phenos, and all popped. Pretty much right up to the moment the switch was flipped I was entertaining thoughts of dumping the crop and refilling with the clones in a few days when their roots are down. I'll keep them going as long as I can in the areo to learn from them and still have insurance should something bad occur in the producer. I'll be trying some light nutes to see how best to develop the roots in the future so I can go straight to flower.

Actually, I was just going to sit down and dedicate some grey matter to figuring the best action to take on the Euforia's. In my head I'm thinking of helically coiling some string up the main and tying a bent paper clip on the end that will allow me to add small amounts of weight (washers, nuts, etc) gradually to get a good, safe bend. Any ideas? I'm open.

Looks like we're picking one another's brains here my friend! :high-five:

I appreciate your interest.

I'm interested to see how this goes - I have a tendency to veg a little too long in my cab, and I'm always needing to get creative (kinda like in your DIY cab). I'm always reluctant to change, though, as I've always been happy with the end result. I think you're probably doing the smart thing here by flowering at a fairly low height - you have a lot of plants in there.

You let me know whatever you need and it's yours peace man. Stoned around the clock huh... I will be dream with envy tonight.

It's not your english man. It's me. I only took a few semesters of stonese compared to your PhD. After my 1st harvest we won't need a translator because my ass will be heavily medicated for the duration of my time.

You're a very generous man with your passion and I wish we were neighbors. Unfortunately I live in a state where the only paper I get are taxes, fees and fines.

Seriously... your preparations are works of art and I have really enjoyed seeing and reading about them.

xlr8 I have to start by saying I'm still popping stitches over that video you put up on your journal! That is one major hoot!!

Time will tell my friend. I almost felt compeled to flower based upon other BCNL users who had topping out far too much in common. The way I'm going to look at this is that a short plant shouldn't cause me 1/2 the aggravation as a too-tall one.

Back to your journal for me now. I've been way too caught up in mine to appreciate yours... for that I apologize sincerely.

With the light going out earlier and far less to do, it sure is nice to enjoy this box on autopilot. ;)

You've been a great help to me xlr8. Thank you.

I didn't actually get into your iPod, but it takes a hippie to know one! It woulda taken me too long to go thru the whole alphabet, but I suspect Cream and CCR would be next! :)

The string with weights sounds like a great idea that would work well! :goodjob:

I guess you could always use some string and just duct tape it to the sides, too. It won't be pretty, but it should get the job done and be adjustable. You could also try supercropping, but IMHO, at this stage you'd do better with LST.

I wish I was local and could take some of those WW clones off your hands. Of course, I have no room for them either, but that never stopped me before! :grinjoint:

You're hip to it Krip... Canned Heat, CSNY...

The Band comment was very timely... I just bought Levon Helm tickets today.

You probably know better than I what route to take on the Euforias. I hadn't even planned to keep them and now they're knocking on the lights. I like the tape idea... infinitely adjustable.
Definitely behind the knowledge curve on this as it wasn't part of the plan. I'll deal with it tomorrow... lights are out anyhow. The plant's and mine.

That's great on the Levon Helm tickets! He's an awesome drummer and has an amazing voice! I actually have the Last Waltz DVD sitting on my desk right in front of me as we speak!

Here's to having a great time at the show (and remembering Rick Danko, who I believe was Canadian...actually, so was Robbie Robertson and I think Garth Hudson, too!):

That's very kind! Glad if it's helped - You're :welcome:

It's nice, but sometimes a challenge, having the lights on less. (Challenge because you can't fiddle with them as often/easily...) Not sure about yours, but my nutes seem to not need as much PH adjustment once I get into flower, either.

Supercrop. Just squeeze til you hear/feel the crunch and bend. Much easier than weights and strings. You can do this all the way up to week 3 of flower. Best way to keep an even canopy IMHO.

Thanks much for that Krip... that was a great show minus the feud. You side with Helm or Robertson? Cameras and money sure can bring out the worst in folks.

The show we're going to is at his place. He performs with great guests in his "barn" in Woodstock. Great harmony's with his daughter Amy too! Very homey and down to earth. Just bring a dish to share on the community table and enjoy the show. I believe his voice actually improved after throat cancer. Fortunate man he is... many friends and an abundance of talent.

I'm too early into flower so I can't comment on lesser pH fluctuations yet, but I'd certainly welcome that. The smaller working window shouldn't affect me too badly. The less fiddling around I have to do with them the better. Live and let live sort here... That is, right up to the day I kill these things and burn them. ;)
