BCNL Producer & DIY Cabs 3 Strains

I'd take Hash's advice over mine, but I believe the "rule of thumb" (green thumb, in this case!) is to start at 1/4 strength.

That would be my recommendation as well. Looking good! :bravo:

Upon my last peek at the roots last night all but 3 euforia had them. All the ww's had roots 1" - 3".

I guess I should have moved when I was thinking about it... at least from under the black cloud where I find myself again today. Pump failure last night. Must have been toward morning as they hadn't hit the deck totally. I quickly put in a backup that I was fortunate to have on hand and misted but I think too little too late. The pump was an obviously little used 396gph, new out of the box. A lemon.

Thankfully the moms have recovered nicely enough from the last trim and I should be able to "re-restart" in fairly short order. The euforia definitely root considerably slower than the ww's, so I may be going with just ww next time.

Gee folks... I feel as though I've taken you all to the movies but the damn thing keeps stopping after the opening credits!:tokin:

Forging ahead.

Oh man! I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully you got them in time and they'll perk back up. I would think they'll be OK if it wasn't off for more than a few hours, but that definately sucks! You may want to try giving them some SuperThrive. It's supposed to be good for stressed plants. :goodluck:

Thanks Mr Krip. As it stands now the 9 ww's appear to have survived, but the euforias (as they weren't similarly rooted) weren't quite as fortunate with a possible 4 or so living.

I'm considering running the producer less than full, but not too much less. Although a smaller crop would be bushier I'm not keen on burning all the watts without a commensurate return. I'll sleep on that thought.

Fire up that producer! You might be pleasantly surprised with the results of less than full cab.

I have to agree with Hash on this one. Fire that mother up!!!

Just give the plants an extra couple weeks of veg, maybe a little LST, and they'll fill up that chamber. You'll have less plants, but get higher yields on each plant.
:MoreNutes:

Alright Hash I will. By the looks of the roots now I'd guess maybe early-mid week. I'd be pleasantly surprised with a single bud right about now.
Thanks man, you pushed me off the fence.

If you mean by filling it up all plant sites - not a good idea anyway - they'll so completely overwhelm the box. You can however, "fill it up" with as few as half of the sites used. There really is no benefit to filling every plant site as they will be choking each other out for light. Trust me. I'd bet you can fill it "half" full for the same yield if not more. They'll fill that space in, and then some. Fire that momma up!

Thanks for your input xlr8. I agree that running it less than full can perhaps result in an equal or so yield. I have much to learn about choosing the appropriate strains that will work best in the box. Northern Lights, Big Bud and Bubba or OG Kush were on my short list and may well be tried down the road. I've got nothing against running it less than full as long as I can maintain an equitable input-yield ratio.

I only have 4 plant sites but I think the spacing is pretty close to yours, and I like to start with all 4 filled, and settle with 2-3 in the end. 3 is a bit too full, as the runt of the 3 gets crowded considerably. 2 fill it up pretty darn full. I still make it my goal to stuff 3 in it when possible. Not sure what I'll do if I get 4 females and all healthy... Good problem I guess!

I'm not as familiar with the Producer, so maybe you can successfully fill it more - I'm sure you'll do your best to try - as would I! Here's to a huge bounty either way!

The rockwool is soaking in ph5.8 r/o, Cal-Mag plus, AN Sensi Grow A & B and Voodoo Juice... all per BCNL. If things remain as they are there will be 9 white widow & 3 euforia.
I've read several BCNL user's comments that say the BCNL feeding schedule is a bit heavy. I'm going to start with their (BCNL's) recommendations and listen as best I can to the plants. This nearly feels like progress.;)
