Day 57 of Life, Day 53 Above Ground, Day 43 of Veg

Hey Everyone……With all of the screwing around with light intensity she’s gotten taller than I would like at this point (that was fast!). I ran some numbers (meaning measured some stuff) and she may outgrow her space when she gets flipped (LKABudman, I re-read your journal and it sounded like she really, really stretched on you, it’s making me nervous ). Its time to ger her flipped to 12x12.

Here is the slightly condensed, pre-flower flip routine I generally follow and initiated this morning with a big feed. Everyone has their own way of doing this. I’d love to hear what you think/if you approach this differently. Pictures coming later this evening after a stealth Lollipop mission before lights out.

Day 60 of Life, Day 56 Above Ground, Day 46 of Veg
Flipping to flower tonight beginning with a 36 hour dark period this evening. Here are some pre-flip photos. I flushed her this morning and she looks happy as a clam. She’s 2’ tall with 1’ colas…it’s going to be a tight squeeze in this little tent.

Happy New Year Everyone.....I'm going to need a bigger boat! I had the brilliant (albeit slow) idea last night of upsizing my tent, something I've considered before anyway. I just finished measuring and it will fit my grow space, so I ordered this new Vivosun tent (3'x3'x6'), should be here literally just in time.

Bro Science, lol....you probably dont have this commercial in your neck of the woods, but an internet car buying application company ran this commercial in the states for a while of this woman who goes into a car dealership asking for help to buy a car. She is ignored by the male shovanist salesman, so she puts on a fake mustache and starts talking in this super deep voice...."yo bro, I'm looking for a new 4x4 truck......" and all these salesmen come running over...your "Bro Science" response made me think of that

Day 65 of Life, Day 61 Above Ground, Day 4 of Pre-Flower
Hey Team, It's been 4 days since the flip to 12x12. Talk about 1lb of glory in a half pound tent! The stretch is really, really, really gaining steam and I've only got about 7" of top room left before she breach's the 12" minimum light distance barrier. I mentioned I've got a bigger tent on order, I may have to stalk the local Amazon Distribution Center and pick it up there, every day is going to count! . I am planning to let her flower for the next couple of weeks and then do a prune/get the mains cleaned up (she's got runners and fans that need removed). We'll see if I can wait that long, she is growing really fast and is bushing out significantly.

Growing the same plant as you at the moment. If you don't want the plant to stretch that much get that light as tight to the tops as the plant will allow. This will lessen the stretching and move things along better when the buds are forming.

Good call SamSmith...I didn't think to do that "proactively" to try and lessen the stretch. She's been really light sensitive but I dont think I have a choice anymore and the LED's will let me come in close. Let me see if I can pull that off w/o shocking the hell out of her again. Every day is going to help. Thanks fore the tip!

It’s been 1 week since the flip to 12x12. I don’t know when to start counting days for harvest, need to figure that out. She’s stretching big, pushing about an inch a day. I’m completely out of room now, light at the very top, about 10 inches to canopy. The good news is the new tent is here! Bad news is I can’t install it over the weekend with the family around so will need to wait until Monday. I think we are going to make it. She looks messy/needs a trim which I’ll get too as the stretch ends. Got a new O-fan as well, the old one had two speeds, cyclone and pandora, both loud as hell, so can’t wait to get this ac infinity installed. So you won't believe it, or maybe you will. I went to install the new tent today and the damn thing is packaged wrong. It has the 3'x3'x6' frame BUT the f*cking canvas is for the smaller sized tent. It will NOT fit around the frame and when I measured the canvas seams (on floor and ceiling) they were about 3 inches too short (meaning no way to stretch it over the frame). I can send it back but it's too late for Miss MEVOOP, she cant wait that long.

Change in plans. I just super-cropped 3 of the mains that were closest to the light. I've never done that before (god it looks horrible all tipped over but I here they come back after a few days) and am pissed that I am doing it now at gun point basically, but they are going to burn in the light if I don't do something. I'm also going to have to trim her back on the sides more than I had planned, likely reducing the harvest. What a cluster f*ck, I need a drink!

On the bright side, she looks unbelievable, but I am too bummed to care today!

Thanks Trala, I'm feeling a little better today. Inner peace........inner peace. It helps that I cant even tell she was cropped (other than the big curve in the stem). She came back so strong already. I'll post some picts later today....6 1/2" from the light
