Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

Hey 420. Its been a while but I'm home now. Apologies for the lack of updates but I've been ill with a virus. we've been working out in the cold rain for too long and started to feel the effects last week. I was getting heart palpitations and cold sweats as well as dizziness and a throbbing headache. I've just been exhausted and needed a break from looking at the screen for too long as it actually hurt. I'm feeling better now which is good and thought I'd get a few updates done.
Last time we saw these there was a bit more space in between them. I've done absolutely nothing with the 10 gallon pot yet. Just waiting. They'll probably need watering soon but the pot still feels heavy to me. The plants look happy though so there's nothing to worry about there. It wont be long before I start to get them ready for flower. The idea is to grow each plant as a single cola with as little side branching as possible. I'll remove some of the lower growth before flower and then tidy them up after the stretch as per usual. I'm certain that they'll need a bit more of a trim around week 5 but we will have to wait and see.
The plants are all mostly looking good. There are a few shorties in there which will be interesting to see after the stretch. I'm hoping the G13 Haze gains a bit of height in flower as she's the shortest and is sat in one of the inner positions. a lot of the larger plants are on one side of the pot so it looks like we'll be having a wonky 10 strains in a single pot grow lol. expect to see plenty of string in this one. pic time....

The Prof's rejects are still going strong. I topped a couple of these as they were taking off and leaving the others behind. I don't really know what to do with this one. I might grow them outside or flower them in the corner if there is any room in my next round of plants....

The new Tropicanna Banana is as vigorous as the one before. No nanners please!....

Sorry you were a sicker-puss.:(

Glad you are back and feeling better.:green_heart:
My G13 wasn't a very tall plant but she had super dense buds.....that molded. Lol

Neat-o Frito!!
Can't wait to see what they turn out to be.

Thanks VG. I just cant wait for this winter to be over. We've had no snow and its been very mild overall but the rain and winds have been relentless and I'm out in it what feels like all the time. Moan over

I remember the G13H and the mould. There were a bad few months for several of us last year. I'm happy that I got to see Preston finish the Strawberry Lemonade but it made me wonder what mine would have been like. That was a monster plant!

I'll tell ya what...

@bebes de zorrillos also ran 2. His buds were a bit smaller, but 10x more potent than mine.

Did he document them? Thanks P
Not really.... I snapped a few pics back when they had first started flowering, but nothing after that.

He had been busy AF through that whole grow.

Hey Professor,
sorry to hear about your sickness but I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I hope the misses and the kids sent you away for a bit as I'm sure they could do without it ;)

It's been a bad week VG.
So what was the problem. Faulty rubber?

Just kidding, glad to see you back.

Lol Thanks MrS

In the UK "rubber" means eraser and mine is covered in pencil shavings. Why does that have to happen?!
Glad you're on the mend! Welcome back to your own thread :ciao:
There's always a nice warm welcome here at 420mag when you have to disappear for a little while. There's no other forum like it
Thanks Shed

Hey 420. The urge to start clipping these back is starting to take over. I'm going to be a good boy though and show some rare restraint. These will need watering soon and I really don't want to drown them. If I remove the leaves now and then have to water them in a couple of days time they wont have the strength to drink as fast and may suffer. What I shall do is water them first and then wait until they've drank about half of the pot before getting the snips out. They'll have the chance to recover a little before being flooded again. Hopefully we'll see no slow down with their growth and it may even give the smaller ones the chance to catch up a little. Maybe.
Most are looking pretty good. G13H is still being runty and the Orange Sherbert is still lagging behind but the rest seem good.
I think that I could probably flip them now and fill the tent but I'm going to wait until they've had their trim before hitting flower to save on work in the future. Individual pics coming up shortly....

:ciao: Plants are all looking good Prof! Sorry to hear you were so sick.
Thank you HH. I'm feeling much better now. We've just had 2 days in a row with good weather
Then I looked at the forecast for tomorrow
Thanks for stopping by HH. I'll have an actual update coming up a bit later :)

Hey 420. Time for an update on how things are going down at the beach. It's getting crowded. Tomorrow I will be giving them a very good trim in preparation for flower. I gave these a watering with some Megacrop at 4g per gallon a couple days ago and they took it with no problems at all. They had a full 2 gallons of water which I was a little concerned about doing but they perked up and are drinking well now. Its a real mixed bag with this one concerning growth rates. Luckily all of the larger and faster growing strains are in the same area so I can move the pot to one side of the tent and grow them horizontally while letting the shorter and slower ones to grow straight up. That's what I'm thinking anyway. Some of the larger plants in there have short stretches in flower like the Ayahausca Purple and the Shishkaberry so maybe things will turn around after the flip. So far we have no noticeable issues regarding the spacing and the plants seem happy for the most part. There is around one week left before the flip which I would like to do next weekend after my current harvest is finished, Chopped and dry.
Hope everyone has had a good week and is looking after themselves :peace:

That looks like a before/after Agent Orange in North Vietnam.

Nice trimming...ready for the big flip!
Does that mean my plants look good or not?

I really should be thinking about the big flip now or we are going to look like Nam again very soon
