Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

Hey 420. Yesterday I covered the tops of my pots in sand to prevent the fungus gnats from taking control. Their populations have exploded over the last week as the temps in the UK are very mild for this time of year. I'm currently wearing shorts as I write this lol. There are bees and plenty of other insects which shouldn't be around at the moment. Loads of flies as well though. I waited until the seedlings had a little strength in the stems before I covered the top in sand just in case I flattened one. They're all happy though and should have some better protection now from mother nature and her armies of parasites. The larvae which are in there are now trapped and will all die off eventually.

The plants are all doing well so far and were watered last night. I only gave them about 4 litres of tap water with the ph adjusted to 6.5. there's no way I'm going to saturate this pot for a little while yet though its surprising how quickly these will finish up the pots if its anything like the last time. I'm going to give these around 4 weeks of veg before I flip to flower but will keep them tidy. I don't really know how I'll trim them up until I see how they grow. Expect to see the snips coming out quite a bit though lol.

Here's where we are at today....

Its going to be hard to see when to water....no?

I do a pot lift to gauge when to water. I just have to remember that the sand adds a little weight. When in full flower these may be able to drink 10 litres every couple of days or so. I was surprised how often I was watering with the 7 plants in one pot.

It's getting longer as it ages. Must be a nose.

It's SaugaView® as I recall.
Oh yes, of course it was. I prefer SaugaView over birds eye view. A lot of birds have eyes on the side of their head. That means that not only would we see Sauga's plants but also his Kurt Russell head in the same pic like some sort of panoramic nightmare
That's some nice sand Prof.

You need a mini Zen rake.

Because you have tons of free time.
I think a fork will suffice lol

Here's the pics of the individual seedlings....

I have a sneaky suspicion that ive just ballsed that up lol. I'll try and work it out later
:passitleft:

I like how the purple strains are expressing their color so early in the new growth.

I'm interested, because in another thread there is a Gorilla Glue #4 which had expressed a rusty colour in the new growth at about 1 month into veg - which I thought might be from a bit of overwatering.

So, I'm trying to figure out how to tell the difference between those two presentations.

Alright, I love the new direction - "A perfect ten hanging out on the beach" grow - reminds me of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

The Ayahausca Purple looks so much of Kate Upton!

Ayahuasca is an entheogenic brew or tea made from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and the Psychotria viridis leaf. It is used in traditional ceremonies among the indigenous tribes of Amazonia.

Yep - Kate is definitely my favourite now!

I'm really looking forward to this!

The plants are all green now. That early purple shade seems to have disappeared.

I had to Google Kate Upton and now I'm in trouble!

The Ayahausca Purple is a good strain. My last one was a colourful frost monster with excellent earthy tones and a knockout stone. I think she's a safe one to back
a mustache comb.
I seem to have misplaced it....No Wait, It's still in my moustache

Hey 420. Time for another update on the single pot grow. All is good in the tent so far and we are beginning to see some take over. There are a couple runts among the pack who are being a little slow. The Orange Sherbet and the G13 Haze need to catch up a little....

I had a close call with the extractor fan yesterday. The temp in the grow room went up which caused the fan to go up to full power. normally it's only set at 10% which is more than enough for this space. The air inlet is right next to the plants and when I opened the tent to see what was happening it was a bit too windy in there. Some of the plants had been blown flat lol. The sand was everywhere. I don't think they would have put up with that for very long before they perished. Everything was good though....

Here are the other ladies. Again, so far so good. I only know that that the short one right in the middle is the Dos Si Dos 33. The rest are lost in my memory. Could be fun trying to figure out which ones which if they make it to the end of flower....

The Tropicanna Banana MK2. She's already miles ahead of the rest and seems to be very similar to the last one in terms of super growth. I hope that she's not like the last one....
